You are my Sunshine Layout | Rachel Lowe

Hello everyone Rachel here again! As I get older I cherish the relationship I have with my mother more and Had to scrap this lovely photo of us together! I have used Paige Evans Bloom Street and the background paper is from Shimelles Never Grow Up collection both available in the shop cliquekits.com/see-everything/

I have a slight obsession with cute creatures so when I saw this hedgehog cut file I knew it was going to end up on a layout! I used the wonderful grass and sky background paper to create a scene. I added some machine stitching to separate the grass and sky. I added the die cut sun from the Bloom die cut pack adding some machine stitching here too. Next I paper pieced the hedgehog in wonderful pinks and florals.

I next added my photo matting it in a colour to provide a contrast against the blue 'sky'. My photo is attached with foam tape to provide height. I finished this off my adding a floral cluster under the photo mat and then some sentiment phrases which are my journalling of sorts.

I created an embellishment cluster at the bottom right of my layout, choosing embellishments that were 'gardening' related as my mother has a beautiful garden and loves to spend time in it. I layered these elements and used foam tape to create a 3D effect.

To finish off I added some die cuts around the hedgehog so it did not appear spirited from the rest of my page.
