Yearbook: documenting One Year

Thank you for joining me this Tuesday! Today I'm going to share a project I created with the August kit - Glam Camp. There are still a few subscription spots left, join us today!!

Today's layout I will be sharing started with a sketch, followed by pictures. Sometimes when I don't have a lot of time or just need to get my idea out on a page, I sketch my layout or I find a sketch that I'm inspired by. I often times don't stick to the original sketch, but it gives me a guide and starting point to my layout.

Beyond the sketch, I like to look through my photos and find one or two that inspire me. I recently got a Canon Selphy printer and love that I can print from home and get a good quality picture. And print from my phone! In the case for this layout, I had the color image already printed, but wanted to print the same photo and I used a sepia tone.  It draws focus to the Color photo, but adds another photo on the page for some visual interest.

One of my favorite pieces of the August kit is the mint corrugated paper by Fancy Pants Design! I love the texture of the corrugated paper and the color is so yummy!  This past Sunday, my husband and  I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. We took a picture before we headed out for a celebration lunch. I cut some of the die cuts in glitter gold paper I had in my stash. I love gold and glitter and I think it works beautifully with this kit and the die cuts!

And don't you adore the wooden heart that are painted with gold!? These are an exclusive in our August kit by our very own Gia! Die cuts will be e-mailed to subscribers August 1.
