Study Hall: Scraplifted

Hey Everybody! Gia here! Today I am sharing a 12 x 12 layout I made with both of the November kits: Cornucopia. This month's kits surprised me because I thought I knew what they contained but when  I opened the package and actually saw all of the components together for both the main and travelers notebook kits it blew my mind how much I loved them. 

I have had a layout on my scrapbooking Pinterest board by one of my current favorite designers...Steffi Reid from Germany who blogs at Scrap Sweet Scrap-- and I finally had the right photo and right papers to do justice to scraplifting her beautiful layout. After showing you my layout, I will also share Steffi's layout and you can read more about hers here.

Here is my version of the layout. I adapted it to a 12 x 12 format even though the original was an 8 1/2 x 11. I loved the idea of the papers radiating out from a central round embellishment and the one in the November Main kit was exactly what I needed!

Here is a closeup and you can see how the papers and embellishments from both the main and TN kits- even though from  completely different collections and manufacturers work perfectly together! I also adore the exclusive flair that were included in the main kit.

I had some sequins from the April release on hand and found that the colors worked perfectly with these kits also. If you have these or love sequins like I do, you can still pick these up in the CK shop to use with your November kit!  Now here is the original layout I lifted for comparison:

Isn't her layout gorgeous? Remember there is absolutely no shame in lifting someone's layout design if it inspires you because no two people have the same exact photos or memories, so it is bound to come out all your own. Thanks for stopping by today!
