Hello! It's Heather Doolittle here with you to share a fun spread that I recently made in my traveler's notebook!
I am SO loving documenting little life stories in my TN. I have a notebook for documenting our summer adventures going camping and lake-ing and this is a spread in that. I wanted to tell the story of how I finally got up on the wakeboard this year! I've been working each summer trying to get it, and I can finally get up and ride around the lake! (If you aren't familiar, a wakeboard is basically like a snowboard for water.) This was definitely a historical moment for me!
I love using a patterned paper on one side of my spread and leaving the grid base paper on the other side so I can write my journaling straight onto the page. I thought the sunshine paper in the Regatta kit was perfect for a lake-themed page!
I loved the palm and fern leaf diecuts (they're probably my favorite pieces of the diecut pack!), so I knew I had to sprinkle them across the page. I love a diagonal design! I filled in the gaps of the diagonal eye line with some puffy stickers and other little diecuts from the kit. I even peeled all but the top layer of chipboard from the "you did it" phrase and used some wet glue to stick it down. I thought that was just too perfect not to use on this page!
I love using white alphabet letters because you can color them in with whatever color you like! I used a black sharpie this time.
Have you tried out documenting in a traveler's notebook yet? Although I used the scrapbook kit on this spread, Clique Kits also offers a traveler's notebook subscription to help get you started creating!
