Hello Lovelies, Theresa here to share a layout I created using the October Sketch and my October Gather kit. This is our sketch this month! This sketch is awesome, and features my favorite design trick: diagonal direction! I love the movement on this and it made it so quick to pull my layout together. This is the layout I am sharing with you today. This was so amazing to create! I took a few liberties with the sketch, since I was working with fall themed papers in the kit. I picked up the Leafy Cut File in the Clique Kits shop and cut those with my Silhouette. I laid those out on plain white card stock and then painted dots. I have used several different paints: the DecoArt Rose Gold, the Folk Art Metallic Plum, and Golden Fluid Iron Oxide. I was very deliberate with my paint dots and have used the ends of my brush in different sizes around the leaves. Of course you can use the bristles of your brush and create splatters as well. At this stage my leaves are rather sparse, so I waited for the paint to dry and then got ready to adhere everything into place. I had so much fun adding these leaves and I have to admit I didn't know when to stop! I also painted the edges of some of the leaves, just to add a tiny bit of sparkle. All these amazing layers just make me so happy! Once the leaves were all adhered, I added the dimensional flowers from the Pink Paislee kit as well, and then I had to decide what I wanted for my title. I took the alphabet stickers from the kit and painted them! Some of them I painted with Tim Holtz Distress in Seedless Preserves, and some I heat embossed gold. My photo for this layout is from Natalie in 2013 when she was still in preschool! I had gone to visit her when they celebrated her birthday, and she was over the moon excited. I drew some basic lines and wrote my journaling about how full of life and energy she is. I pray every day that no one ever steals that joy from her! I hope you are able to play with the sketch, and when you do be sure to share with us! Use #cliquekits so we can see! Thank you for joining me today!

So pretty! Maybe I’ll get a chance to play along... is it just for fun or is there a prize involved?
