Hello Clique friends Rachel here! Today I have a pocket sized travel journal to share created using the fab Riviera kit (cliquekits.com/seasonal-kit-riviera/). This kit featured the Riviera collection by LPDP from France. Also included is a date stamp set by AAL & Create which is perfect to add travelling dates. I have added the sentiment stamp set also by ALL & Create which you can also find in the Clique shop (cliquekits.com/bring-on-the-sentiments-stamp-set-aall-and-create/) In June next year we are leaving our shores in Australia (three years thanks to covid) and heading to Europe for three weeks. Usually I do my album, journalling of my trips away when I get home but usually forget small details, names and places so this time I am taking this journal with me to document as I go. Its pocket sized and fits a pen in the O rings. It measures 4x5 inches ,so easy to take with you and document as you go. I have used one f the tags in the kit to create my front cover and added the dates with the stamp. I have added lots of stitching to add texture. On one of the journal cards I have documented where we are going using the tiny stickers in the kit. On another page I have added the map of Italy where will spend the majority of our time. I used a cut file from the Silhouette design store to create my map, and cut the page map paper to include the printed word Italy. To add my journalling I ruled lines with a permanent marker (I just can't write straight!!). You can see I have added embellishments and journal cards to keep my album pretty too! The colours of this kit are perfect for a travel journal. I have added lots of pockets so I can add tickets and other memorabilia keeping it all safe in one place. I also added more paper pieces in the pockets to add more journalling space. You will see I added white paper clips so I could attach more items of memorabilia. I added sentiments using the stamp not just from the paper collection adding more visual interest. You can either use a cut file to create your album or simply cut 4x5 inch paper pieces and then add flaps and pockets. I was going to add a clear acetate front and back cover to protect it but found a map acetate piece in my stash so used that.
So there you have it a fun, functional and sized to go anywhere travel journal, so you can journal in real time and add memorabilia there and then!
