Hi crafty friends! Rita here today with a new scpralift for our "My kinda people" blog post category where we introduce you to our fellow The Clique members and scraplift one of their layouts shared in our group. The layout I chose for my project is by Roberta Ciccarelli. She posted it as contribution for the August Mood Board Challenge. I really loved how she used mixed media and the overall composition, so I asked her if she would be ok with me scraplifting and introducing her. She even wrote some words for the blog, so here we go: "I am Roberta, a super happy wife and mom from Italy. I love photos, colors and everything that arouses positive emotions. I discovered scrapbooking by accident, it immediately entered my heart and now I will not leave it anymore." If you want to check out more of Roberta's projects, you can do it on Facebook. Here's the link to her page: www.facebook.com/VoceScrap-114683079917628 For my layout I used the super cute Junior Sampler Kit "Field Notes" by Rosie's Studio which is available in the Clique International Shop. It features so many goodies - papers, die cuts, cute stickers and on top of that: stamps! I really wanted to use bits of everything, it was just all too cute. First I prepared my background using watercolors and a yellow Dina Wakley Gloss Spray to make some splashes. After that I used the leaves dies from The Stamp Market to create paper leaves and backed the photos with patterned paper and the leftover cut out paper strips from the dies. The photos show my son having fun with all the leaves. It was really hilarious. He had so much fun throwing them up and I had so many problems making decent photos because he was moving so fast. (This is what I wrote on the layout it german by the way.) Anyways, I think it is obvious what he's doing, but the leaves are so so blurry on the photos. That's why I loved the idea to create additional paper leaves and arrange them in a way so it would look like he's throwing them up in the air. I really love that a stamp set is part of the kit. It's so unique and especially suitable for childrens layouts. The gnomes are adorable and the mini leaves and flowers are perfect details on the page. Also, hedgehogs!!!! Really, you have to check out this cute kit! LOL Apart from the vertical arrangement of the photos I really wanted to incorporate some stripes. Therefore I used a striped paper from the kit and painted some with watercolor. For the final touch I added stamped leaves and flowers. And of course the gnomes and mushrooms! So sweet! But let's take a final look at the whole layout: I guess you can tell that I adore this adorable kit. Thanks so much Roberta for sharing her amazing layout in our Facebook group "The Clique". If you want to be featured here on the blog and get scraplifted by one of the Design Team members, don't hesitate to share your work in our Facebook group. We always appreciate it! Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!
