Hello there! It's Heather Doolittle here with a fun masculine birthday card that I made using the Riga main kit this month. I noticed flipping through items in the kit that there are lots of boyish colors. Lots of gray, blue, and tangerine tones. I needed a birthday card for my brother, so I got to work! One side of the Caper paper from Pinkfresh Designs' Let Your Heart Decide collection has lots of circles with little chevron designs inside the circles. I thought the designs would look super neat actually punched out into circles, so I did just that! My circle punch that I used is a 1 3/8" circle. I punched some smaller 1" circles out of other patterns in the kit (I kept to blues to keep it masculine) to layer with the larger shapes. For the sentiment, I found an adorable little label in the Be You diecut pack and used the foiled alpha stickers to spell out the "happy" part of "happy birthday." I love the puffy-ness of the stickers. I think it adds so much interest to the card. I added the "birthday" with my typewriter. Next, I popped up my sentiment label with some foam tape and added some extra little sequins and diecuts to top it off! In the end I also machine stitched across some of the circles to add some more texture. I'm a sucker for machine stitching! I hope you have enjoyed seeing another project that I made with the Riga kit this month!
