Hello Clique Kits friends! I am sure you will be loving the August Meadow Kit as much as I do. Today I have a layout with a mixed media focus. I am a clean scrapper but as soon as I saw the Alexandra Renke Tubes of Paint paper I was inspired get out my water colour paints!
And here is what I created.
I started of by fussy cutting the paint tubes. I then chose my title/theme for my layout using a cut file (I love play on words!). I arranged the cut file title in a way that I could place my photo and embellishments, I also re sized the words for visual interest.
I then got messy by painting a piece of water color paper to back my title. I chose colours that would tie in with my layout, but I went messy and added black splatters. It certainly has made my title stand out.
I then added my fussy cut paint tubes, adding water color paint so it appears the paint is coming out of the tubes. I rolled some of the paint tubes so it appears they have been used.
I used the green water color square from the printed cut a part included in the kit. I then foam taped my photo to add height. I love this photo of my daughter, the happiness on he face before the worries and complications of the teenage years hit and hence my title of my layout.
I finished off by adding some of the poppies from the die cut pack (which are totally gorgeous) and the material covered heart flair. A splatter of black paint and there you have it!
I had fun creating this layout, even for a scrapper who tends to shy away from mixed media. Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful creative week x
