Hi everyone Rachel here! Today I have a mini album to share using the Let's Stay Home Paper and Add On kit. I love this collection by Pinkfresh Studio and although it's theme is about our 'New Normal' it can be used for many other themes. I decided to go literal and my mini album base is a house! I used a house cut file from the Silhouette Design Store, I cut 5 using different papers for each house and added a hole near the chimney to put together with an O ring (I also added an eyelet so my pages would not tear). I added machine stitching to my cover page, added windows and a door, finished off with a bow to define the roof. I cut another page but this time using vellum which is my fav thing to do in a mini album as it adds softness and a different texture layer. As this album is all about our family time in quarantine and 'our new normal' I have added the year using small puffy stickers and a quote that is focused on hope. Using foam tape I added a pocket to this page so I could add journal cards from the collection, I really wanted to focus on the positives of this experience hence the journal cards I chose. I found this acrylic piece in my stash and it was perfect for the theme of my mini album! I chose the relevant stickers to embellish this page and yes this pretty much sums up my activities through out lock down. I created a second pocket using foam tape which allows multiple journal cards and/or photos. I added machine stitching to cards and the pocket as I love the texture it creates. ![]() I have left spaces on some of the pages to add my photos later and I will also add more photos in the pockets, but more importantly is my journalling because this really is a memory keeping event. I went back to my cover and added some die cut florals and phrase sentiment sticker all finished off with a cute pom-pom. I hope I have inspired you in someway to document these strange and challenging times. See you again soon and stay safe.
