Hey everyone! Suzanne here to share with you a layout featuring the "Some Days" kit by Pinkfresh Studios/Kelly Purkey Sampler and Junior Kit. This line is super fun and, in my opinion, has a graphic feel that can be very transitional! I live on the coast of Alabama which means that the beaches are always a quick option for a getaway. During my kiddos Spring Break one year, we decided last minute to hit the beaches and everything in between for a few days! These pictures are from a theme park that's local to our area-this particular ride is where we spent the bulk of our time because my kiddos loved it! I started the layout with a mixed media background using an oldie but goodie watercolor mist. I love using mixed-media on my layouts, and this is usually the first thing I do with no particular rhyme or reason; I usually try to fit my composition around the media on my paper! I spritzed the watercolor and dried in between applications to get the graduated color and movement. Once dried, all that's left to do is to assemble the layout! Because I used smaller pictures in the layout, I chose the 6x6 paper pad included in the Junior Kit because of the more suitable smaller print. The 6x6 pads are perfect for smaller pictures or even making cards and such. I'm not much of a measurer or even a trimmer cutting type of scrapper-dI revel in the imperfection! I like to layer and the easiest and simplest way to achieve that imperfect, textural look is to rip! I can not forget about all of the embellishments included in both kits!! They worked perfectly with these pictures of our little staycation! I hope you've enjoyed this layout and that I've inspired you to scrap those staycations pictures. Stay tuned for more inspiration from our fabulous creative team!
