Hello Everyone, it's Piroska here today with my latest post for Clique International. I hope you all had some blessed time with your family this Easter, and could take some photos. Have you heard about the April challenges of Clique International? Week 1 is about Great Candids: ![]() For this layout I used a photo of my husband and my daughter when they were just having fun, cuddling and joking, and laughing a lot. They were so focused to each other that they didn't even noticed I am trying to take a photo of them. My task for this post was to use a sketch for my layout. Where do you look for sketches? There are plenty on Pinterest, but I just realised you can search Instagram for them as well. I remembered a sketch of Steffi Ried, which she made in January for Scrapbook Werkstatt, and immediately fell in love with. Here is the sketch of Steffi Ried: And here is my layout: For this layout I used the Sunkissed Sampler Kit which features the Sunkissed collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio. For the semicircles I used the Sunkissed 6x8 paper pad, which is sold separetely. I chose the blue leopard patterned paper and the woodgrain for the half-circles. I cut them with the help of a circle cutter. Then I made the background on a white cardstock. First I used clear gesso for the parts I wanted to use watercolours. When it was dry I used the Catherine Pooler ink pad (colour: Sauna) for the yellow and my Prima Watercolour sets (Tropical) for the pink watercoloring. Comparing the two mediums the C.Pooler ink pads are more pigmented, I just love them now even more! When the watercolouring was dry, I used an older ScrapUp! stencil from my stash to add some hearts on the watercoloured parts. Then I started to embellish the page. For the photo editing I used the PicMonkey and Photo Collage Apps. I wanted to embellish everything diagonal, when I come against the difficulty of having the photo and its surroundings are not vertical, while the embellishments of the left side are horizontal. I had to equilibrate the layout with some phrasel stickers from the Sunkissed Sampler Kit. I added some floral and other die cuts, a wood button from the Sunkissed Sampler Kit, and some puffy stickers and clear stickers from the Modern Documenter Sunkissed Kit. Finally I added the title, I just love those glittery gold foam title stickers which you can find in the Sunkissed Sampler Kit. I hope you liked my inspiration using this fabulous sketch of Steffi Ried. Give it a try! And make some photos for our Photo-taking challenges, and create a layout or more from them ;-)
And don't forget to ckeck out the Clique Kits shop for the best kits ever! ;-)
