Hello CK friends Rachel here. I am loving my October Gather kit! Today I have a mini album to share with you. Over the years our family has had many professional photo shoots and I have scrapped the photos individually on layouts, but mini albums provide a great way to scrap many photos and journal from a single event. I have used a cut file from the Silhouette Design store by Paige Evans to create this album. I adjusted some of the pockets and did not use the bow to close my album, as this kit has a rustic feel I went with twine to close my album. I have used a small print paper from the collection, the reverse colour was perfect and I wanted to add die cuts that were patterned also, a larger floral print would have been too busy. My front cover is a fussy cut house from the houses paper, a large floral bloom and a word sentiment from the CK exclusive cut a parts. I attached the house and word sentiment with foam tape for a 3D effect. I used the beautiful gold vellum paper to cut the centre envelope, and here I have put 10 of my fav photos from the shoot. I also added some journalling on the white journal card included in the kit. I added a large photo to the top of the album, adding a strip of floral paper to the top and 'gather' word title on the actual photo. I added some machine sewing to the pockets before sticking them down and I also added it to the photo mat of the bottom photo. I made a tri fold card to fit into the pocket with a journal card, another way to add even more photos! The opposite pocket I added three photos of my boys which I machine stitched together at the top. The embellishing is the fun part, and the die cuts in this kit allow you to make so many gorgeous features. This album is now a treasured memory of our family for us to all look back on in years to come. Thank you for stooping by today.
