Hello there! Giorgia here today on the Clique Blog to give you another idea on how to recycle an item that I think all of us crafters collect, you know, "just in case". I am talking about pretty boxes! I don't know about you, but whenever I buy something with a pretty box, I never throw it away and I put it in my craft room to decorate it someday and give it a new purpose. So, when my mother in law gave to me this pretty box in a beautiful pearlescent cream color that once contained a face cream, I immediately thought "girl, you need to decorate it and use in your craft room somehow!" And what better kit than Hey Crafty Girl by Simple Stories sampler kit to do it?! In the top of the box I adhered one of the paper in the kit and I created a sort of a scene representing me in my craft room using the stickers included in the kit. I cut papers in the right size and decorated all the box! This is the inside: I decorated it with a big journal tag, die-cuts and chipboard from the kit. I am using the box to contain my Clique International embellishments! The box goes really well with the embroidery hoop I showed you in my previous post.
I hope you liked my project and will try to give an old box a new life! Ciao, alla prossima.
