Hi there Clique friends! Giorgia here today to share with you the setup of my 2020 December daily: I opted for a ring album because you can add a lot of pages and easily change their sequence, so you can prepare all the pages on time, without dating them and decide which one using everyday, based on which one fits the better for the events of the day. This year I decided to make an unconventional Christmas album, using pop colors instead of the traditional red, green, gold and white; if you are in love with this kind of colors for Christmas, you really should check Mintopia's Christmas kits in the Christmas section of the shop! I will show you the pages I made so far, telling you what I love to add to any kind of mini, not only December Daily. The first page is a beautiful cardstock that has has sparkly stars that changes colors when hit by light! And what to say about those cute wooden penguins and penguin paper clip?! The penguin paper clip hold in place a tag, that I decorated on both sides. On the other page I created a pocket where I place other tags: I love to embellish tags with recycled fibers and ribbons. To cut the star I used a die included in a summer themed kit! When making a mini, I love to vary the size and shape of pages: it adds a lot of fun to the album! I used this amazing alpha puffy stickers to create the sentence (in the shop you can find it also in green and red!) Here you can see another example of what I love to add to a mini: shaker tag and doliies can be use as cute fillers to the mini album! To create the confetti and sequin shaker I used tulle fabric. Another funny thing to add in minis are pockets: you can use paper bags to create them and fill them with pictures, tags, ephemeras... The cute felt bear is included in this kit. In this page I created a sort of pocket in the centre of the page, by sewing the two sides of a patterned paper and leaving the top and bottom free, so when I will add tags or pictures they will slide through the pocket. Another kind of page that I love to add in mini albums are vellum pages: I love that you can see through them and spot what there is behind them! I stamped a cute bunny on the vellum and added two little snowflakes. The stamp is from my stash, but here you can find something similar. To create this page I punched circles from all different patterned papers and added some embellishments. Did you spot the cute bunny on the back of the vellum? I love that you can see it also when the page is turned! In the next page I created a Christmas tree using wooden stars. I also love to use tags as small pages! In the back I will add a picture, or maybe my Christmas wishlist! You can also create pages with flaps that you can open: I added a cute tassel to it to help opening it and to add colors and fun! Also creating shaped pages can be an idea to add fun to the mini: I hand cut this Christmas tree from a patterned paper, but you can also use the amazing premade dividers included in this album kit! I die cut a snowflake on the sparkly cardstock and added embellishment (you can find a lovely snowflake die here). In this page I cut several stars from a white cardstock and adhered it on the top of a flap made with stars patterned paper. I added enamel stars and a pon pon trim. An embossed page with a tag on top of it. Acetate is another must have in my mini albums! As for vellum, I love that you can spot what's behind it. Another cute item to add to a mini are envelopes! I love to fill them with pictures! I hope to have give you some ideas on what to add to your December Daily!
Let me know if you are making one! I used these products from the shop:
Have a good day! Ciao, a presto.
