Hello Clique friends! Valeska here again to share with you a layout that I made repeating tags on my page. I love this blog inspiration category. I think repeating forms or images is a good way to get attention to your design. In this layout, I chose repeat tags using the Add-on kit Summer Feels. This add on paper pack includes the cut apart papers from Simple Stories Sunkissed collection and papers from Fancy Pants Designs.
There is no special technique on this layout. I just cut apart all the tags I wanted to use and also cut two photos in the same size.
First of all, I made four holes with my crop-a-dile tool and place an eyelet in it. I used a sewing thread between the holes on the right and the left, making loops in the thread for more movement.
All tags and elements of my page were glued with 3d stickers to give more height and thus make the decoration stand out. I also added some brads too.
To crop my photos like the tags that I was using, I printed each picture and placed the tag on top of the image I wanted to preserve. With my scissors, I cut around and made the hole with my crop-a-dile tool. So, I place another tag under the already cropped photo to give a feeling of colored shadow.
Hope you enjoyed it and be inspired to create on repeat designs in your projects. Thank you for stopping by and make sure to see all the new kits on Clique store. See you next time!
Hello Clique Friends! Hope you are doing fine! Valeska here today with a new project on the blog. I used a sketch made by Tati Pereira who is a great Brazilian scrapbooker, and she inspires me a lot with her travelers notebook spreads. Here it is her sketch:
I used the gorgeous Riconozcenza Base Kit. This kit mixes Altenew´s Wildflower collection with Pretty Little Studio´s Grateful Heart collection. The color palette makes my heart so happy, and what to say about the watercolor papers? just wonderful! I used some diecuts from the Add-ons kit too. They are perfect to complete the kit if you want it! In my spread, I used one paper from Pretty Little Studio, the die cuts and a purple cardstock to make a frame to my photos.
I have to say to you that I made my own traveler notebook with discs. I really like this kind of project because I can remove and add some pages whenever I want it.
In my first page, I used this beautiful paper heart. I cut some hearts and sewed in the same position to give to my page more dimension. I also sewed the title and the tabs.
In the second page, I used a lot of die cuts near my photos and some Nuvo Drops. The stickers phrases are perfect.
I used the Disc Punch and Discs from We R Memory Keepers to make my Traveler notebook disc and and decorated it with some die cuts from the same kit that I mentioned before available in the Clique Kits store.
If you want to use the sketch in your projects, please tag us on Instagram or share on the Clique Facebook group, so we can see it. Thank you for stopping by. Hope you enjoy it and have a great week.
Hello Clique Friends Valeska here with you today on the blog sharing a 5x5 mini album that I made for a friend. I really enjoy making mini albums, this is my favorite paper craft project to make.
I used the Keeping it Real Sampler Kit from Pinkfresh Studio which is not available anymore in the store, but you can replace it for Happy Blooms Sampler Kit that is also beautiful, to make your own mini album.
I made a circle shaker for the cover using vellum paper and the floral paper. I added sequins that fit perfectly with the collection and glued flowers die cuts around the circle. I stitched the cover with light pink thread and added Nuvo crystal drops and puffy phrases.
For the binding, I used white eyelets to hold the pages with colorful threads.
All of my internal pages were watercolor papers. For each page, I chose some colors from my watercolor set that match perfectly with the die cuts and some details that I used. Everything was placed thinking where am I going to put my photo.
Hope you enjoy it and get inspired to create a paper craft project to someone you love. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. See you next month.
Hello Clique Friends!! So happy to be here again with you on the blog! Today I have a free post to share and I chose to make a layout with old photos of me and my baby boy (almost a teenager now!). Love to scrap old photos and remember the moments we lived again and again.
I used papers from Marrakesh Base kit, all of them from Paige Taylor Evans's Wonders collections, a yellow cardstock from Otomi Cardstock Pallete as a base and a white cardstock stitched with yellow thread in the middle.
One of my favorite scrapbooking technique is fussy cutting! Love it very much and when I saw those papers 1 and 8 from the kit I knew I want to fussy cut them. Also, I used circle metal die cuts to cut my photos and some papers too.
I added some die cuts, alphabet stickers and enamel dots to give more elements to my design.
I really loved all vibrant and warm colors together and that reminded me of the sunny and happy day we had this moment. Hope you enjoy it and have a sunny and happy weekend. Thank you for stoping by.
Hello Clique friends! It's me Valeska here today with a new post: Pinterest Please! Using Pinterest to find something inspiring is not a difficult task, I really love Pinterest and all the beautiful photos and ideas shared in there. But to inspire me in scrapbooking, sometimes is easier to look for something different other than scrapbooking ideas. I rather look for home decor, mood boards, collages, etc. Those photos are more inspiring for me to make the idea for the layout. This peach and blue mood board was my inspiration that I found in Pinterest.
In addition to the colors, I was also inspired by the triangular shape of papers, envelopes and pillows, and also by the flowers.
I sewed triangular cutouts from two patterned papers and a white cardstock with yellow thread, and then pasted the white cardstock onto another textured blue cardstock. The triangular cutouts are also glued to the white paper with 3D stickers to add volume to the page.
On the white cardstock, I applied gesso to waterproof the paper and then I used Distress Oxide with water (colors: Mustard Seed, Broken China and Faded Jeans) to give more color to the project.
Arranging the die cuts around the page, is one of my favorite part. I love adding flowers everywhere, I think you already realize that, right? Finally, when you think it's done, I always find time and space to use Nuvo drops...
By the way, this city is Guimaraes in Portugal and at the bottom of the photo you can see a piece of the Castle of Guimaraes. I really enjoyed this trip with my family!
I hope you enjoyed and felt inspired to create amazing projects with this kit. Make sure to join our Facebook group The Clique for more inspirations and prizes. Thanks for visiting today!
Hello Clique friends! Valeska here today and I'm very happy to share with you this layout that I made for my daughter on International Women's Day. She is certainly one of the most important women in my life, she is definitely my sunshine and I want her to grow up to be a strong, fulfilled and happy woman. I used Daydream collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio that is still available in Clique International Store in a 6X8 paper pad. I put two photos in a row highlighting her face with flowers and butterflies around.
I really like flowers in my layouts, and how beautiful these flowers are in this collection, right ?! In addition to using the flower die cuts, I also cut out some more of the floral paper to make more layers. I used circles cut from patterned paper with metal dies of different sizes.
I cut fringes on a strip of paper and pasted on the larger piece of stamped paper in the middle of the layout. The title that I choose is pre-cut and the words come with the collection for you to assemble however you want. Little details such as hearts, enamel dots, fabric hearts and stickers could not be missing, leaving the layout even more balanced.
Another feature that I really like to use in my layouts is 3D stickers. So I can use several layers of different heights, applying texture and volume to my page.
Finally, I splashed it with white acrylic paint, which gives it freshness by combining it with the woody background paper.
I hope you like it and have a wonderful women's day for all of you! Always remember: we are all unique and special, like sunshines. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you've had fun and got inspired! Be sure to join us in our Facebook group where we host monthly challenges and giveaways!
First of all, I painted the wood cover with a white acrylic paint. I separated the acetate and the paper cover. The hollow part of the hearts I stuck on the wooden cover with Tacky Glue after painting them.
The paper part that goes in the front I painted with Distress Oxide but you can paint with acrylic paint too.
After gluing the hollow part of the hearts on the wood cover, I put the sequins in the spaces of the hearts, glued the acetate on top and covered with the paper part. Then, we have the shaker cover ready. It's time to decorate pages.
I tied some ribbons around the book's ring, using the same color palette to make everything harmonious. I cut vellum paper to put before the decorated pages. This Mintopia paper pad is perfect for this size of shaker album!
To make the letters in different colors and make the page even more fun, I used the Mintopia metal die set and some die cuts glued with 3D foam stickers.
I hope you enjoyed it and be excited to try new techniques and ways to make scrapbooking. What matters most is to let your creativity flow! Thank you for stopping by. LOL Valeska
Hello Clique Friends It's Valeska here today with a new project. Hope everything is well and thank you for passing by to check some news and get inspired. I have to tell you that I've been inspired by Sue Schubert, a very special The Clique follower and my layout is a scrap lift of hers. Sue submitted her Summer layout for the July Challenge and won! Well, my layout is not a summer one, but she inspired me in many ways. First of all, I was caught by her amazing watercolor background and the layers of papers and die cuts she used behind the photo. Here is Sue´s layout:
And here is mine:
I started my layout doing the watercolor background using colors that match with the papers I choose to document that day. This collection is Nordica from Studio Forty. I also made some splashes with the same paint which gives me the sensation of snowing.
I cut some flowers and leaves, distressed the edges of some cards to make the layers and add more volume and height to my photo, which was in the center of the layout just like Sue's. I used chipboards stickers from the collection, stickers and also dots 3D stickers.
Finally, I added an acrylic word (Gather) by Elle's Studio with foam squares stickers. I absolutely loved this detail.
Hope you enjoy it and I really want to thank Sue to her beautiful inspiration. If you have any doubts or comments, just let me know. I would love to hear and help. Wonderful Holidays for everyone. Valeska
Hello Clique friends! It's me Valeska here on the blog, as you may have noticed, again with a mini album. I love making mini albums, I like to make them in various formats and even more I like to share them with you.
The one I bring today, I made in a 4 inches embroidery frame. I used the A Simpler Life Base kit, with beautiful papers from Jen Hadfield's The Avenue collection and embellishments by Maggie Holmes from Crate Paper.
I combined the whole structure with a pink ribbon that I had in my studio. I cut the pages inside in a circle of 3 1/2 inches leaving a flap that I made a hole for an eyelet. I ran the ribbon through the metal frame of the embroidery frame and in the middle of the eyelet.
I used this pretty embroidered bird as if it were really embroidery on the frame.
Also, I made some tags and pockets. I used the Canon Selphy printer to print some photos of different sizes.
I made a pocket for a journaling card and used many words with the puffy alphabet that comes in the kit. Finally at the back, I prepared a shaker with black polka dot acetate circles, which is also in the A Sampler Life kit, with green, silver and gold sequins.
Hope you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for stopping by and being part of this beautiful crafty community.
Hello Clique friends!! Valeska here today on the Clique Blog for first time!!! I'm so happy and excited to share with you this project that I made to keep wonderful memories of a beautiful trip that I did with my family last year. We escaped a few days to enjoy a piece of paradise ... a wonderful beach in the Northeast of Brazil, called Maragogi. Maragogi is a small city in the state of Alagoas, very touristy, but incredibly wild, beautiful and welcoming city. Surrounded by lots of nature, animals and wonderful beaches, this place is so special. If you still don't know this place, be sure to go. You will love it! The sea is absolutely beautiful with warm and clear waters. perfect for diving and seeing many marine animals. The beaches are perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun with cold coconut water. I could not choose a more colorful and appropriate collection to document these days we spent on the beach and in contact with nature like Go the scenic route by Paige Taylor Evans. I made a mini album with cardboard structure with a magnetic closure. I combined the Passport kit and the Add on kit the scenic route paper pack plus Floral ephemera from the Clique Kits shop. On the cover, I put several flowers that I fussy cut and a title that reflects my feeling of leaving the routine behind.
Inside, I bound the sheets that I made with different sizes and shapes with The Cinch (WeR - American Crafts) and decorated them with ephemeras and die cuts from the kit. Made some pockets, tags, envelopes and some interactive layouts. The papers in the collection are so beautiful and perfectly combined with the colors of the sea and nature. Don't you think?
I also made an additional pocket in the left of the structure for tags and travel lists. The inside little pages were so fun to make. I really wanted the mini album to have that very relaxed and fun look and it also reminds us of those beautiful and unforgettable moments we spent together!
I used some decorative ribbons and cotton cord that I had kept around here. All the tags and cards are from the kit.
I hope you guys enjoyed it and fell inspired to create and keep some pieces of your story too. If you have any questions about this project, leave it here in the comments and I will be happy to help you.
