Hi friends, Theresa here with my first process video for you as part of the Clique Kits Creative Team! I am so excited to join this team and have a super fun travelers notebook layout to share with you. Lately I was wondering when my irises might bloom by my mailbox, and so I looked back at last year's photos. These were taken in August of last year, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to document them. You can see my process for creating these pages below. Hi crafty friends! Rita here with a new project using the Sao Paolo Add-On Kit and the Keeping it Real Kit Mini Kit (the Sampler Kit is still availalble at the moment!) I was inspired by this month's "A photo a day challenge" hosted by Clique International in our Facebook group "The Clique". Instead of making a photo everyday, I "documented" my weekend following the prompts and it was so much fun and a great opportunity to experiment with my camera and look for new details and objects in my surrounding. I used the Traveler's Notebook by Amy Tangerine from the Sao Paolo Kit. There are two in the package, one with white pages, the other with kraft paper. I used the one with the white pages, so the colors of the embellishments and patterned papers would pop more. I didn't follow the strict order of the prompts, they were mere an inspiration for me, so there would be not too much pressure and freedom to add my own ideas. I tried to make my layouts not too dimensional, so the TN wouldn't be too thick in the end. That's why I used a lot of different Alpha stamp sets from my stash instead of stickers. But let's start looking at some of the layouts. One of my goals was to use all the embellishment pieces from the Paige Evans' "Wonders" pack included in the Sao Paolo Kit. I also used Catherine Pooler inks which are available in the shop in different beautiful colors. They are so fun to work with! I think the Pinkfresh Studio "Keeping it Real" collection suits the Sao Paolo Kit perfectly, that's why I combined both. It was so fun to play with the patterned papers and ephemera pieces. Also I tried to change the sizes of my photos so every page would look different and interesting. I opted to write my journaling with the pens included in the Sao Paolo Kit - they are really awesome to write with and the colors are so fun! On the layout below you can see how the color of the pens pops on a white background - perfect for spring and summer journaling! I also love the included stamp set by Amy Tangerine. So easy to use and the patterns are so versatile and lovely. One of my fave's for the spring season for sure! To see more of the stamp set, the pens and the new "Brave + Bold" watercolor set by Amy Tangerine and how I used this stamp set in my planner, check out my video on my Youtube Channel. I love working in a TN because you can fill the pages so fast (add a full page photo and it already looks cool! lol) and have a nice little notebook full of memories and stories after a couple of hours. I'm already working on finishing this TN and have more layouts to share on Facebook and Instagram in the next couple of days, so make sure to follow if you're interested. I hope you feel inspired to scrap small and follow our April Challenge. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Make sure to join "The Clique" if you haven't already. Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting!
Hello my crafty friends! Nicole here and today I'm sharing my latest entry in the new Storyline Chapters kit from Clique International and the new gorgeous Catherine Pooler inks! I have dedicated 2021 as the year of "me" and prioritizing myself and today, I'm reflecting on my five best qualities in my latest spread! I'm also taking on the "on repeat" challenge, too! Here's a look at my completed layout: When I started this page, like most projects, I typically start with my product and story first, then fill in the photos as I go. For my "On Repeat" topic today, I loved these beautiful tags and paper clips and I also loved the stamp set that comes in the Storyline kit. I used all of those elements together and repeated them to keep my spread cohesive. Changing up colors while keeping different elements the same adds variety to the simplicity of the layout. If I get in a creative block, I tend to use these tips to get myself back on track. It takes the guesswork out of it! I love the variety that this Heidi Swapp stamp has to offer! The lines on my tags were stamped using the lined stamp from the set, but if turned it upside down and double stamped! Don't be afraid to make your products work for you! Lastly, to keep that cohesiveness, add these repeating elements to your opposite page to pull everything together! Here, I didn't use the rainbow anywhere else on my spread, but the colors and the heart stamps I did! This helps keep the eye moving around the pages. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you've had fun and got inspired! Be sure to join us in our Facebook group where we host monthly challenges and giveaways! New events coming soon and we hope you join in on the fun! See you there! Hello crafty friends! Nicole here and today I'm using the fresh and new Phoenix add on kit that features the beautiful Simple Stories Quarantine papers and Hello Today ephemera. I'm also using the brand new Succulent Potted Plants cut file. I love how Gia set the cut file up! You're able to mix and match the different succulents with the different pots! Today I'm documenting a proud moment in my travelers notebook. About a year ago, I tried to root a little leaf that had fallen off of my succulent. Ten months later, this little guy is rooted, healthy and still growing! Here's a look at my completed spread: The left page, I used my photo of my succulent as my focal point. I printed it large enough to cut it from the rest of the photo, letting it stand out even more. I used a 3x4 journaling card from the kit along with a few pieces of ephemera to embellish the page. I used my tab punch and stamped "Hello Today" with the Studio Forty Stemple clear stamp set. For the right side of my spread, I used the succulent cut file as my main focus. I also added a few bits of the Simple Stories ephemera and some stamping from the same Stemple stamp set. How cute is that little sun, cloud and rain?! I just love that added little touch! To finish off my layout, I used enamel dots from my stash to add a few pops of color. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to visit The Clique shop for TONS of new products and loads of new releases that are currently on pre-order! You don't want to miss these kits! Hello everyone!! How are you doing? I hope everyone is doing great and that you stay healthy and at home. For today I want to show you a new project I made using the Paperinky collections which I like a lot! I have combined both collections that were in the Clique Kits shop, Metropolis and Milkmedia and I have made a Midori. To make the covers of the midori I have used a cardboard and then some cloth I had at home left from other projects that I made. I joined them and sewed, and then made a hole on each side of the spine to add the elastics later for the pages on the inside. For the inside pages, I have used mostly the papers of Metropolis and added a couple of pages of Milkmedia. Then I also used the paper of the Project Life cards and cut them to add them on the inside of the midori as some extra decorations. I have also used in some pages watercolor paper to add diferent details, and some washi tape stripe that I had from Altenew that I adore! I added some extra decorations with Studio Forty stickers and some enamel dots. Here you can see more pages. As the moment we are living now is not the best to travel we can always use these midoris or traveler's notebooks to document our life at home or during lockdowns that we may have in our correspondent countries. I hope you like the idea and the project!! Stay at home safe and healthy! I hope you like the project and I will be back soon with new things to show! Take care.
Lots of love, Isa Hello crafty friends! Nicole here and today I'm up on the Clique blog featuring the adorable Flora & Fauna Halloween Word Party Set and coordinating dies. This set has soooo much versatility and I was very excited to get my hands on it! You guys, seriously how cute is this stamp set though?! Today I'm using it to make an entry in my travelers notebook of a photo of my son and I from last Halloween when we were trick or treating. I've never personally been very big on dressing up. My oldest son had found a Snapchat filter that made us looked like we were both dressed up and matching and insisted we took a selphy! So stinkin' cute!! I started this layout by adding my base layers on the left. I cut the base layers for the right, however I didn't adhear them down just yet. I used a piece of regular printer paper to stamp out "BOO" in a few distress ink colors...I was afraid I would either mess the stamping up or it would bleed thru the other side. This played it safe! I used an assortment of coordinating colors, then attached it to my page and added the layers. I then took two ghosts and the "Stay Spooky" sentiment and heat embossed them in black on white paper, die cut them with the coordinating dies and sketched and cut a speech bubble around my sentiment. I got this idea from the Elle's Studio stickers that are included in the THIS Halloween kit from the Clique, which is where all of the papers and embellishments came from for this spread. I added my photo and layers to the left page and use lots of the stickers from that Elle's Studio sticker sheet. I'm loving the sentiments, pumpkin and speech bubbles and how it just ties this whole spread together! Lastly, I stamped and die cut matching bats to adhere around my page. I also added that cute little spider in the top right corner of the page to bring in that third cluster of elements. Thanks so much for joining me today!
Be sure to stop by the Clique shop HERE to pick up your stamp and die set! Have a colorful week!, <3 Nicole Hello everyone. Nicole here! Have you seen the Sunshine Clique Sampler Kit? I just love it!!! It's so sunny and happy...and pretty! The patterns are adorable and the colors are so soft. The size of this layout is 8"x4". I love this size. For the background, I used a few of the tags from the kit to create a variety of circles in the background. The chipboard embellishments are from my stash. As you can see, I used a lot of layers on this small layout to add depth and dimension to my layout. And of course, I had to include a little bit of journaling at the bottom. Otherwise, the layout will feel incomplete...to me at least. Thank you so much for stopping by. If you haven't had the chance to check this kit out, check it out today. It's a really cute kit!
Hello, CK friends! Donna here to share my first project using the June "Sweet Tea" kits. I used a mixture of items from the the main and junior kits to create today's project which is a spread in one of my TN inserts dedicated for memory keeping. I used the acrylic paints in this month's Color kit featuring Bad Girls Couture Haute Mess Paints. The colors are amazing and they coordinate with the June kit so perfectly. I fussy cut some of the flowers from the vellum paper and the Peachy Keen paper. I used a decorative border punch to add a bit of interesting detail to a couple of papers trimmed from the Seek Magic paper. I stamped around the edges with using a Vicki Boutin stamp and Catherin Pooler orange ink, both from previous CK kits. That's all from me today and I hope you liked my TN spread. Don't forget to leave a comment if you have any queries.
Thank you so much for dropping by and see you in my next post! Happy crafting, Hello crafty friends! Rita here to share my first project using the June Kit „Sweet Tea“. I made a spread in my Traveler's Notebook about the first strawberries I ate this year. For this project I used the patterned paper „Seek Magic“ from the latest „Dear Lizzy“ collection, the alpha sticker sheet, the puffy stickers, the Instax sticker from Crate Paper's „All Heart“ collection, and the ephemera pack. First I printed my photo out out and glued it on the right page. I framed a strawberry with the Instax frame sticker and put some bees (from the puffy sticker sheet and the ephemera pack) and hearts from 3 different sticker sheets on it. On the left page I used a piece of the patterned paper with the strawberries and some ephemera pieces. The card has not only almost the same size and color as the Instax frame, but is also perfect for some journaling. I hope you feel inspired to make a quick and summery TN spread with your June Kit.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting! Hello, CK friends! It's Donna here with a new project using the May "Great Expectations" Kit featuring Crate Paper's All Heart collection. I used Go Girl paper as the background to my TN spread. I kept the embellishments minimal since the paper is already too busy. I hope you liked my project today! See you in my next post!
