Hello friends! It's Smitha here today, and I'm in the mood of doing some mixed media art. I decided to alter the cover of this mini album and I'll show you how!
I'm using the Vicki Boutin Molding paste. This is a smooth paste that is great to add subtle white on white texture and use along with stencils.
To create an even layer or pattern and texture, place your stencil onto the album cover. Center the stencil. If you need to, you can also tape down the stencil. Then, using a palette knife or an old credit card smear the paste all over the stencil and spread evenly.
Make sure to clean off your stencil immediately after. I added the pattern to the top 4/5th of the album cover and love how it looks already. I then added some paper, and embellishments from the Daydreamer kit and love how the title is bold yet simple.
I love adding paper die cuts and mixing it with the molding paste to create such subtle texture and pattern.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial friends! Thanks for stopping by today :)
