Hi friends, Jody here with my first Blog post for you as part of the Clique Kits Design Team! Today I am using the lovely seaside vacation Sampler kit called A Contre Courant. I love creating mini albums to give as gifts. I am going to share my 5 components to a successful mini album! #1 Create a shaker element. Who doesn’t love a good shaker element! I used the Ocean Waves digital cut file from the shop. Add a piece of acetate, toss some sequins and back it with a pattern paper! It gives movement and sparkle to your mini! #2 Lay on the products. Layering stickers over other stickers is a fun way to add icons and words to a mini. So don’t be afraid to layer them up! #3 Use dimensional adhesive. Die cuts are screaming for foam adhesive! Trust me, your mini will not be too bulky! #4 Use cut files. Cut files are my jam and I use them often on all types of projects. I grabbed the Hello Sunshine digit cut file from the shop. In the Silhouette Studio program I shrunk it to fit my mini, cut it then cut a backing piece! Voila, a super cute page with a little more words! #5 Add some journaling.
I plan to give this mini album away as a gift to my sweet uncle and aunt. We joined them on a 2 night trip to the beach. It was their grandson's first trip so I definitely wanted to document these special days! You don’t have to write too much and you can absolutely hand write your journaling. Just say a quick word about the pictures!. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I have given you a few ideas for your next mini album. Hello My Clique Kit Friends! It is Ali here and I am happy to be back with you and this wonderful design team sharing our creations. I am so lucky to be working with this wonderful Sampler kit | Farniente, which is currently on sale in the shop. Sampler Kit | Farniente | Mes Ptits Ciseaux (cliquekits.com) I fell in love with the colors and patterns of this kit and thought it would be perfect to document Father's Day. I love how the colors of the papers match my dad's shirt. I tried to make sure to use all the different pattern papers on my layout. I did use some yellow and grey cardstock to mat my photos and I punched a scallop circle out of white cardstock to tuck behind one of the photos. The kit comes with blue letter stickers and banners from Pretty Little Studio. I used the letter stickers to create my title and my typewriter for the journaling strips. I even used the packaging from the sticker sheet to make into a cute heart banner. The colors matched the rest of the layout, and I was happy to add more love into this layout.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week. Love, Ali xo Hi friends, Theresa here with my first process video for you as part of the Clique Kits Creative Team! I am so excited to join this team and have a super fun travelers notebook layout to share with you. Lately I was wondering when my irises might bloom by my mailbox, and so I looked back at last year's photos. These were taken in August of last year, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to document them. You can see my process for creating these pages below. Products used: Freckled Fawn Travelers Notebook Binder Album Sampler Kit | Here Comes the Sun by Pretty Little Studio Hi Clique friends! Today it's my turn again on the Clique blog with a new layout I made, using the gorgeous Happy blooms sampler kit. This kit is so pretty, it makes it so easy to create, I love it! When I started this layout I didn't have a clue what to create. Usually I have this image in my head, or at least some idea of the direction I want to go, but this time, I was completely blank. I simply grabbed my kit and started picking bits and pieces. I started with the photo, the green/teal colors in the kit match the photo really well I think. In the kit are these beautiful journal pieces, containing pockets and envelopes. I grabbed the ones with the right color and started layering behind my photo. That sticker in the upper right corner is so pretty! I stuck it on the flap of the envelope, but didn't want the edges to stick to the rest of the paper, so I backed the edges with the backing of my adhesive tape. I did my mixed media with my favourite distress oxide, used a stencil en finished it off with some splattering. I really love how this layout came together.
Hope you like it, thanks so much for visiting the blog and see you next time! xoxo Petra Hi sweet friends! So good to see you again. Today it's my turn again to inspire you with one of our amazing kits! This layout is made with the gorgeous and fun Lucky Me Sampler Kit. This kit has bright and bold colors and is full of fun embellishments! For this layout I started with a base of water color paint in a dark blue. The Vivia water colors are so pretty and match perfectly! I used a broad flat brush and didn't make it too wet so you still see the strokes. I backed the photo with several different design papers from the kit. I never cut with a paper trimmer, I always cut by hand and distress the edges. I don't mind crooked lines haha. After the matting of the photo it's time for the embellishments! Always the fun part (all is fun but still). I love to get out all those tiny bits and start layering them. The little bits and pieces are so bright and fun and all mix so well together! To finish everything off I splattered some black paint. I hope you got some inspiration and would love to see your creations in our Facebook group! xoxo Petra hi sweet Clique friends! It’s my turn again to give you some crafty inspiration! I made this layout with a photo of as a baby. I used the gorgeous Happy Blooms Sampler kit. What I always do is cluster my center piece, glue everything together and then I do the mixed media. The flowers in this kit are gorgeous! It all matches so well! I always use foam tape inbetween layers so I can tuck things between them easily. I hope you got some inspiration! I’d love to see your work!
till next time! xoxo Petra Happy Fall Y'all! I am so excited that Fall has arrived and my favorite holiday is on its way. I already started decorating the house for Halloween and had to share my latest decoration with you. I fell in love with this cute spooky ghost and had to have him. I created this layout with the Spooky Night by Simple Stories Sampler Kit that is in the shop. I love this collection! I thought the polka dot paper was a perfect match with his cute hat. I added a few sequins that were included in this kit on some of the polka dots. The sequins added some bling bling sparkle to it! I added a few cute dies cuts to the bottom of the page. I added some foam tape to add some dimension to the back of the haunted house, ghost and his pumpkin treat bag. I added the wonderful Booo foam sticker to the page for the title. There is a spider in the last O and I decided to stitch the web from the top of the page to connect it to the word title. I love how it turned out!
I hope you enjoy my spooky Halloween layout and go check out the cute new kits in the shop! There are so many good ones! Happy Halloween! Love, Ali xoxo Hello my Clique Kit friends! it is Ali here with you today with my Sunshine & Rainbows layout! I was so excited to see this beautiful Sampler Kit by Cocoa Vanilla Studio in the shop. I mean who doesn't love rainbows! This paper just screamed out to me and it matched my rainbow dress perfectly! Then I saw this free cut file from Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine and knew that it had to go on my rainbow page! How perfect is this Sunkissed collection from Cocoa Vanilla. I used the 6x8 paper pad to back up the cut file. You can also purchase this in the shop to add on with the sampler kit. I used foam tape on the back of the cut file to give some dimension to the page. I embellished the layout with the rainbow flair and the die cut package that was included in this kit. I am just beyond thrilled on how this layout came together with this wonderful collection, cut file and the picture of me in my rainbow dress and Mr. Sunshine! Hurry quick to the shop to purchase this kit because it is on sale and you don't want to miss out on it! Hope everyone has a sunshine and rainbow kind of day! Love, Ali xoxo Hello my crafty peeps! It is Ali here with you today sharing a layout I created for the Let's go challenge using the Just Plane Fun line from Fancy Pants. I was waiting for that perfect line to use with one of my favorite travel photos. We were headed to Utah to attend an event at Doodlebug Designs and I asked the stewardess if I could take a picture of the pilot in the cockpit. She went to ask him and before I knew it I was sitting in the co-pilot's seat. How cool is that! I was amazed at all the controls and how tight it was too sit in that seat. I used a cut file from Paige Evans and backed the plane using the Just Plane Sampler kit. I added wooden veneer people to fill the seats of the plane and love that you can see them through the windows made of vellum. Vellum was also used in the backing of all the clouds. I made the top clouds into shakers and outlined all the clouds with Stickles. I added enamel dots to the background and a few die cuts from the Just Plane Fun Sampler kit. The kit is on sale in the shop. It's such a great line for all your travel pictures. I am excited to have more plane fun creating with this line. http://cliquekits.com/sampler-kit-just-plane-fun-fancy-pants-designs/ I really miss traveling and hope to be on a plane again real soon. In the mean time I will be scrapping all my travels and keeping the memories close!
Safe travels my friends! Love, Ali xoxo Hello everyone, it is Piroska here today with my latest layout for Clique International. Summer weather is slowly reaching Europe, and I've been longing for bright colours on my scrapbook layout! The 5th and Monaco Sampler Kit is full of colours, good vibes, so it's perfect for all your summer memories! We live in the capitol city of Hungary, and now that our daughter is big enough, we love to take sightseeing tours here. Budapest has many beautiful places, buildings and a rich history. Last summer we visited the Várkert Bazár, the Castle Garden in Budapest. The Garden was built and designed by Miklós Ybl more than 130 years ago, and it connects the Royal Palace of Buda with the Danube riverbanks. It is part of the UNESCO’s World Heritage sites, and has been reconstructed in 2014. The history of Hungary and Austria has been connected through the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 which created the dual monarchy of Austria–Hungary. Franz Joseph, Emperor of Austria and his wife, Empress Elisabeth of Austria were officially crowned King and Queen of Hungary in the Buda Castle. Elisabeth, the beloved Queen of Hungary, nicknamed Sissi, loved Hungary so much, that she lived several years in Buda-Pest and Gödöllő, instead of Vienna (Austria). She loved to make long walks, and she walked a lot here. The Castle Garden was built to make the Castle accessible from the port of the Danube, the stairs lead among beautiful flowers and bushes, and you can have a beautiful view on the Pest side and the Danube walking up or down on the hillside. The papers of the 5th and Monaco Sampler kit are perfect for showcasing the beauty of this garden: everything is green, and the road is lined with rose-bushes. I took many photos, but they are all full of photo bombing tourists, so I have chosen two selfies , where you can see a bit of the entrance building of the Garden. First I draw a line with a pencil on the floral dotted paper to draw the frame and then I used my craft knife to cut the middle of the paper out. I glued thick cardstock on the back of the frame so it is lifted up when I glued it down on the leaves patterned background paper. I fussy cut the remained flowers of the patterned paper, curled up their leaves and added them around my photos. I like that I could reflect on the rich vegetation of the Castle Garden with this bright and busy background, and I am happy that the focus is still on my photos. Now, get to the shop to grab your Sampler Kit of the 5th and Monaco collection by Pink Paislee, and create a layout full of life and colours! AND come to visit Budapest once! ;-)
