Hello Clique friends! Today it’s my turn on the blog again with this soft toned layout I made with the This is us kit by Rosie’s Studio. This kit is sold out, but… have you seen the latest Rosie’s Studio kit? Wowwww… Anyway… my layout… I really wanted to use rolled papers, so that was a bit of a job, but I really liked doing that! All the papers of our kits always match perfectly, and here it’s no different. I used several different papers. I simply put tacky tape on one side of a 6” paper and used a paper straw to roll the papers around. Simple as that. Although it took a bit of practice, but we all need a bit of practice when you do something for the first time, right? I created a subtle mixed media background with my distress oxides and after that glued all the paper rolls onto my layout. Only in the middle so I was still able to tuck some embellishments underneath the rolls on the sides. The fun thing of using paper rolls is that you immediately have this elevated effect and real dimension when you layer your embellishments underneath and on top. I love that! Have you ever used paper rolls on your projects? I would like to see and hear! Follow us on FB or Insta for your shot of inspiration! xoxo Petra

Hello everyone, it's Karlla back and I'm very happy to share another project with you. I created a mini album with the beautiful Take Flight Collection . I made an accordion mini album. I love this album style, it's delicate and at the same time playful. I made a mini envelope to make the album more fun. A great way to be able to attach some message. This collection is beautiful, and the die cuts are incredible. The colors, the elements... I'm in love. As this beautiful kit, you can find others on the Clique Kits.
I hope you liked it! see you next time, Karlla Dauer ood Morning Everyone, it's Karlla Dauer here today with a new post for Clique Kits. I'm very excited about the arrival of a New Year. I hope with all my heart, it will be lighter and full of hope for us! Another year has passed, and my baby is a toddler. I love being able to record his development month by month, and being able to count a little bit from each stage. A good way to do this type of memory and use Flipbook or Snap. I'm in love with both, and I like the plastic partitions. I like being able to decorate the cards and mix with the photos. For this project, I used the beautiful collection
Field Notes - Rosie's Studio. Hi crafty friends! Rita here today with a new scpralift for our "My kinda people" blog post category where we introduce you to our fellow The Clique members and scraplift one of their layouts shared in our group. The layout I chose for my project is by Roberta Ciccarelli. She posted it as contribution for the August Mood Board Challenge. I really loved how she used mixed media and the overall composition, so I asked her if she would be ok with me scraplifting and introducing her. She even wrote some words for the blog, so here we go: "I am Roberta, a super happy wife and mom from Italy. I love photos, colors and everything that arouses positive emotions. I discovered scrapbooking by accident, it immediately entered my heart and now I will not leave it anymore." If you want to check out more of Roberta's projects, you can do it on Facebook. Here's the link to her page: www.facebook.com/VoceScrap-114683079917628 For my layout I used the super cute Junior Sampler Kit "Field Notes" by Rosie's Studio which is available in the Clique International Shop. It features so many goodies - papers, die cuts, cute stickers and on top of that: stamps! I really wanted to use bits of everything, it was just all too cute. First I prepared my background using watercolors and a yellow Dina Wakley Gloss Spray to make some splashes. After that I used the leaves dies from The Stamp Market to create paper leaves and backed the photos with patterned paper and the leftover cut out paper strips from the dies. The photos show my son having fun with all the leaves. It was really hilarious. He had so much fun throwing them up and I had so many problems making decent photos because he was moving so fast. (This is what I wrote on the layout it german by the way.) Anyways, I think it is obvious what he's doing, but the leaves are so so blurry on the photos. That's why I loved the idea to create additional paper leaves and arrange them in a way so it would look like he's throwing them up in the air. I really love that a stamp set is part of the kit. It's so unique and especially suitable for childrens layouts. The gnomes are adorable and the mini leaves and flowers are perfect details on the page. Also, hedgehogs!!!! Really, you have to check out this cute kit! LOL Apart from the vertical arrangement of the photos I really wanted to incorporate some stripes. Therefore I used a striped paper from the kit and painted some with watercolor. For the final touch I added stamped leaves and flowers. And of course the gnomes and mushrooms! So sweet! But let's take a final look at the whole layout: I guess you can tell that I adore this adorable kit. Thanks so much Roberta for sharing her amazing layout in our Facebook group "The Clique". If you want to be featured here on the blog and get scraplifted by one of the Design Team members, don't hesitate to share your work in our Facebook group. We always appreciate it! Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!
Hello crafty friends! Can you believe it's the last day of July already?! I surely don't. Today I have a 12x12'' layout to share with you. And it's messy, eclectic and fun and the cool thing is: I used a lot of leftover embellishments from a lot of kits. As you can see, I also used some stamps and acrylic paint. It was so much fun to create this layout. It was a real freestyle project, with no concept and idea beforehand. I just started by playing around with a little paint. Then I put together all the scraps I still had. I love the black and white "Little Black Dress" kit, because you can mix and match it with everything. I combined two papers from this kit with a leftover paper by Pink Paislee and used some vellum from Crate Paper. Then I attached them to white cardstock. I paired my photo with a pocket card from Pretty Little Studio's "Color me Happy". The balloons are also from this collection, the other one is by Pebbles. I used a photo of my son on the slide, so the layout needed to be colorful and fun with lots of cute details. And how adorable is that clip? I used some leftover die-cuts from the Rosie's Studio Kit which you can find here. All the white embellishments are from the "Little Black Dress" Kit. The clouds, sun and rainbow are by Pretty Little Studio. The glasses, florals and the cat are by Pebbles. The stamp I used is by Flora & Fauna and unfortunately not available in the shop anymore. But I can recommend you this stamp kit right here. I love how the stamps resemble the handwritten paper on the right. And I personally think that stamps are must when working with mixed media backgrounds. They add a cool effect and make the layout much more interesting. It's all in the details, right? If you feel inspired and want to create with a little ink or paint, get started! It's so much fun! And if you need some paint supplies, you can click here. Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting!
Hello crafty friends! Rita here with a new project today. Yay! I made a mini album about a recent day trip I took. But before I tell you more about that, let's look at the kit and products I used for this mini. My main ressource was the Clique Sampler Junior Kit: Chasing Butterflies by Rosie's Studio. It was perfect for this project and so fun to work with. I haven't heard of this brand before, so it was super exciting for me to play with these products. I used the Studio Forty Sticker Sheet from the Little Black Dress Kit and the Pebbles Ephemera Pack from the Jen Hedfield "Hey, Hello" collection. One or two embellishments are from the Color Me Happy collection by Pretty Little Studio. For the cover of the album I used two papers. The rainbow one is from Crate Paper's "Magical Forest" and the one with the butterflies is by Pink Paislee. Like I mentioned, I used two 12x12'' papers for the cover and cut them down to approx. 5,5x9'' before I folded them. I machine stitched them a little on one side, the double-sided tape was doing the rest. The buttons I used were included in the Little Black Dress Kit and I stitched them to each side, so it would close in the end. The good thing about one-sided patternerd paper is that you can glue them together perfectly without loosing any patterns. And the 6x6'' pad by Rosie's Studio was perfect for that. The paper is not too thick, so it's perfect to make a little booklet or glue a third paper in between two sheets. I didn't have an instruction for this mini. I just went with the flow. Because I only had photos from one "event" and chronology wasn't an issue, I was able to work freely, without much planning or worrying. When you open the mini, you see, that the cover is just that, a cover. All the main pages are placed in the "middle". The first page leads to a little insert card. I used a punch to make a Hexagon "window" and put a transparent acetate foil between the two sheets of paper before glueing them together. When you page forward, you see another folded page. I used them for leftover photos. Down below you see how it folds apart. After these two pages we reach the "main" page. The text I printed and cut out is from Wikipedia. It has all the information about our destination that day. We visited the top of the mountain Kandel, which is over 4000 feet high and located in the Black Forest, in the southwest of Germany. You can reach it perfectly by car and take beautiful walks there. The view from up there is breathtaking, you can see Freiburg and the Vosges in France. The "Kandel" mountain is a very mysterious place shrouded in myths and legends. People called it the "Blocksberg", the mountain of the witches and legend says that witches came together with the devil to dance there. Good thing we came there during daytime. lol I love how nice the patterned papers match the photos. They are so versatile and some of them have gold foil on them. Such pretty and fun effects! I encourage you to play with one-sided papers, fold them, glue them together. This album is just one way to do it. I could've make it smaller or bigger, I could've added more pages (if I would've had more photos!). The possibilities are endless and that's the greatest part about it: everything goes, and every way is beautiful! Don't be reluctant to use all the fun embellishment which comes in the kit. They look so much better on paper than in a storage bin! I speak from experience lol I hope you feel inspired to get crafty today! Thanks for stopping by!
New Zealand guest designer Tammy is back for a post sharing her second layout using the Rosie's Studio Indigo Mist kit. I love how she incorporated motifs like the clouds representing the meaning of the name New Zealand in Maori and how she die cut greenery to symbolize the bush and the magical place she took these photos! Read on... The inspiration for this layout is one of my favourite places in New Zealand Te Apiti or otherwise known as the Manawatu Gorge. A beautiful bush covered walk that challenges the body but rests the mind. There really is something soulful about this place, it doesn't seem to matter how many times I run or walk through it, it can always challenge me physically and yet it is where I feel most at peace. There are a few tracks to be found winding their way up and through the gorge and at the crossroads of these you are greeted by the magnificent sight of Whatonga, an ancient Maori warrior, who has been immortalised in a 6m tall sculpture. So the bush and the colour of the sculpture is what I have based my colour scheme from. I have used a green and white floral paper, and a grey metal paper to frame my layout. New Zealand is also known as Aotearoa which translates to 'long white cloud', which made the Paige Evans Cloud Background file cut an obvious choice for my background. I have added a touch of blue to the sky by using a waterbrush and ink pad. While is was building my base I cut a square piece from the center of the green and white floral paper, I have then used this and the green woodgrain paper to cut leaves from. These have been arranged and staggered around my photo's to give a bush feel. Finally I have added a few embellishments including the gumboots and a roof top, blue house veneer and follow your heart arrow flag. I really enjoyed creating this layout and incorporating so many pieces that represent my world around me.
The Indigo Mist collection from Rosie's Studio in the Passport: New Zealand August kit was perfect for this photo of Tammy and friends having a great time. I love how the lightbulb paper matches the lit up background of her photo. In this close up you can see one of the coordinating bling dots that were part of the collection included in the kit. These dots are faceted and have flecks of gold in them which is really pretty and matches her title really well! Tammy did some paper tearing emphasizing her distressed edges and lots of layering behind her photo adding depth and interest to her layout. I spy some details I love in the upper right corner and to the left of the photo. Tammy added some mixed media and stitching and though it is subtle it is sometimes these finishing touches that make a layout go from good to incredible! Thanks for sharing with us Tammy!
Hi everyone! It's Sue Plumb here again to share my final Ambassador project using the March "Wonderful You" Main Kit. I have had so much fun creating with this kit and sharing my work with you. For my final piece, I have a 12x12" layout featuring my gorgeous daughter, who loves nothing more than drawing in her sketch book (even when we go to the park!) I started this page with the polka dot print Cool / Kaboom paper by Studio Forty as my base, cutting a piece from the large chevron print Fast / Dreamy to layer over the top. I used a paper doily, along with some blue tissue paper from the kit packaging as a mat to define my focal area; then mounted my photo on some cardboard (cut from a pizza box) to pop it up from the layers below. I framed around my photo using a number of floral pieces that were fussy cut from the Webster's Pages Over the Rainbow paper and complimented them with a few floral pieces of Rosie's Studio acetate ephemera. I also added two tags (one Rosie's Studio, one Pretty Little Studio), which I tied with some frayed twine. I added some messy white cotton thread on top of each of the floral clusters for soft texture; and then used the Rosie's Studio the simple things make me happy acetate piece as my title. Alongside that I added a small Rosie's Studio puffy heart sticker. That's all from me. I have so enjoyed my time with Clique Kits - a big thank you to Gia and the rest of the CK team for having me on board and giving me the opportunity to share my work with you!

It's Sue Plumb here again with another of my Ambassador team shares for you. Today's project is a 12x12" mixed media layout I created using the March "Wonderful You" Main Kit and Add On Color Kit. For this layout I wanted to document some photos of my son from a couple of years ago when he got a new digger for our sandpit. I used the green / blue / yellow tones in the photos to dictate the colour palette for my page. I started by combining some of the Art-C Sky Blue and Bright Yellow metallic paints from the Add On Color Kit to create the shade of green I wanted, then added a little water to thin it out. I then spritzed my cardstock with a small water spray bottle and used a wet brush to apply the paint to the page; adding extra water where needed to help the paint to spread. This helped achieve the loose, watercolor style look I was after. Next, I took the Bright Yellow Art-C paint again, but this time I applied it straight from the bottle by drizzling it around my page over the top of the green paint before leaving it to dry. Once the paint were completely dry, I added a little stamping with some blue ink before I started adding some papery layers. I used a variety of patterned papers from the main kit from Studio Forty and Webster's Pages; cutting them into different sizes and shapes. I used two Rosie's Studio tags tucked in amongst my layers, tying one with a short piece of ribbon from the kit packaging. I also added a flower that was fussy cut from the Webster's Pages Over the Rainbow paper in the kit. Once all my layers were in place, I added some frayed gauze for added texture before sticking my photos on top. To embellish my page, I fussy cut the words happy day and smile, along with the large heart from the Webster's Pages Happy Day paper. I then added some torn pieces of a Studio Forty Super You Tape strip sticker and a couple of Rosie's Studio puffy heart stickers. Finally, I added my title using the American Crafts Silver Holographic Thickers and my journaling with a felt pen and I was done!
