Hi everyone! Nicole here. I created a 12x12 layout for a change... I know, right!! It's funny because I started this hobby over 20 years ago scrapbooking 12x12 and sometime along the way, I decided to create 8 1/2x11 because it seemed easier. But, I didn't have any problems creating this cute layout! Every night, Edward and I chat... we just talk about whatever he wants to talk about. I think he does this to stall bedtime...but I'll take it because during the day, all he wants to do is play on his computer with his friends. Check out his hair... he's starting to look like a hippie. I love it... the hubs, not so much. For this layout, I used Clique International's Bean Bag Boys Sampler Kit. It has some papers and foam stickers from Simple Stories along with some other awesome brands! I added a few embellishments from Pinkfresh Studio to fill in some of the white space. Loving these foam stickers soooo much and the color scheme. It's perfect for scrapbooking those totally awesome boys of ours! I layered a few of the foam stickers over the printed stars at the top and bottom of the layout to add dimension. What do you think? Cute, right?! I just wish I had some more of this cute collection. I might have to grab a few more pieces of this collection so I can create a mini of this little guy.
Thank you so much for visiting today!

Hello everyone. Nicole here! Have you seen the Sunshine Clique Sampler Kit? I just love it!!! It's so sunny and happy...and pretty! The patterns are adorable and the colors are so soft. The size of this layout is 8"x4". I love this size. For the background, I used a few of the tags from the kit to create a variety of circles in the background. The chipboard embellishments are from my stash. As you can see, I used a lot of layers on this small layout to add depth and dimension to my layout. And of course, I had to include a little bit of journaling at the bottom. Otherwise, the layout will feel incomplete...to me at least. Thank you so much for stopping by. If you haven't had the chance to check this kit out, check it out today. It's a really cute kit!
Hello scrappy friends! Today I'm sharing a mini album that I made using scraps and bits and pieces left from my My Favorite Story kit and add on. This kit brings soft colors and florals and is perfect to document springtime and summer memories. There are a few add on kits left HERE so be sure to get yours before they're gone! I made the cover of this mini from lighter weight chipboard and covered with larger scraps of paper. Using other scraps, I created pages and left the tops open to make pockets for other embellishments and additional photos. Here are all of the close ups of my finished project. Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a great day :) New Zealand guest designer Melissa Vining is back today to share another drop dead gorgeous cut file layout she created using the Just a Little Lovely collection from Pinkfresh Studios. She wanted to document her daughter's 100th day of school in her sweet princess outfit. Melissa is sharing the story below! Hi it's Melissa and I'm so happy to be back with you again to share another layout I made with the gorgeous Just a Little Lovely Kit. For this layout I really wanted to focus on all the different flowers in the kit, and I imagined them growing down a wall. I knew that Confessions of a Paper Addict had the perfect cut file to achieve what I wanted. The flowers I used included puffy stickers, ephemera, acetate, fabric flowers, and fussy cut flowers and leaves from one of the patterned papers. I painted the cut file grey with my water colours, and backed it on one of the patterned papers. My photo is of our third child Brielle, and it was to celebrate the 100th day of school in New Zealand for 2019. She had her princess dress on which matched the colour tones in the kit perfectly. Once I decided where to position my photo I just started embellishing and layering the different types of flowers on the wall. Thanks so much for looking. Thanks for sharing Melissa! These kits are almost sold out but if there are any left you can grab one here!
Hello, everyone!!!! Donna here today with you sharing my first layout using the May 2018 "Riga" Main Kit. I love the fresh and soft colors in this kit which features different collections from Pinkfresh Studio. And this is the scrapbooking layout I came up with for today's post: I added a bit of texture by splattering some yellow, coral and green mists and also stamped images using teal, green and yellow inks. I used a Vicki Boutin stamp from a previous kit. The layout design is pretty simple but because I used a cut file and added colors to the background, I think it's safe to say it turned out really cute! To add height, I adhered the doily and photo with foam tape. Then, I embellished the left side of the photo with a small cluster of floral, leaves, and tassel bow. The cut file is from The CutShoppe by Ashley Horton. I backed it with one of the papers in the kit that has multiple patterns. I used foam tape again to add height. Then, I alternated some of the itty bitty pennants in between the XOXO letters. And for the final touch, I randomly adhered sequins all throughout the layout. That's all from me today! I hope you liked my layout as much I do. Have a blessed day!
Happy crafting, Hi everybody! It's Gia here so excited to kickoff our August kit reveal with some inspiration for you showing the kit in use! If you are here visiting and would like to get your hands on this awesomeness you are in luck! Go here and subscribe now before they are sold out! The full reveal of Glam Camp is shown on the Monthly Kit page. Not only is the My Mind's Eye Market Street line by Jen Allyson beautiful, this kit has been given the Clique Kits unique touch with some great exclusives that all coordinate maximizing your productivity scrapping along with us all month long! Another thing I absolutely love about Glam Camp is it is full of textures! From burlap bows to woodgrain cards, to cork embellishments, and corrugate card stock- layering with texture is a piece of cake! Hopefully, you are one of our subbies and will soon be finding out for yourself! For this layout I was excited to scrap some pictures from a recent family camping trip. I had a hard time narrowing down which photos to use, and decided it would be fun to challenge myself to use a lot of photos on one layout, taking inspiration from a square pocket page style grid. To create the grid, I first cut paper into squares of different sizes, from 3 1/4 inch squares to 3 3/4 inch squares. The reason I varied the sizes was so that when layering them the different patterns would show. Next I did something I haven't done in a while- good old fashioned scissor distressing! This helped to give my little square piles lots of depth. The exclusive Clique Kits gold wood heart embellishments (hand painted by yours truly and shared with The Clique in the Glam Camp kit) are a little thicker than regular wood veneers, about the same thickness and weight as a flair button. I love all of the gold in this paper collection and the kit adds even more gold to glam up your projects. After I had my squares arranged in a pleasing way, I ran each one through my sewing machine just a little right through the middle, so that the edges would have a tendency to curl up just a little, for effect. Last but not least, I embellished each square pile with lots of dimensional elements such as wood pieces, enamel dots, and flair. For my title I combined both of the alphabets included in the kit (Chic Tags banner alpha and Fancy Pants Designs burlap alpha), plus a gold foil word (Pretty Little Studios) also from the kit. I used a black marker to doodle outline our family name "Lau" in the title to make sure it didn't blend into the sleeping bag in the photo making it difficult to read. In order to make the printable 3 x 4 cards work with my layout, I simply trimmed them down to square shapes! The cards are versatile and can be used in regular 3 x 4 pockets or as layout elements, or as I did here, cut into squares. Because they are printed from downloadable files, they can be used over and over in different ways! I have a feeling I will try fussy cutting some of the elements out at some point, and using them again in a project life style layout. Having coordinating digitals such as printables and cut files every month really stretches how much you can use the kit down to the very last scrap of paper! Here I just wanted to show you how the layered squares look from the side angle where you can see how dimensional they really are, which may not show as well in the full frontal view! The ivory burlap string in the kit was the perfect finishing touch wrapped around my central photo and title element. All of the product in this layout, except for the small piece of Pinkfresh Studios washi tape and the glittered arrow from Freckled Fawn (available in the school store) are from Glam Camp. The confetti and enamel dots and the wood veneer feather are available in the school store also as add ons that coordinate with this kit. They are listed under school store , "Added in August" while supplies last!
