Hi friends, it's Theresa here! I've been thinking about the New Year lately, and with that comes the usual resolutions, setting goals, that kind of thing. I'm not a resolutions kind of person, but I do like to create art as mediation, and today I've created an art collage piece to think about the kind of energy I want to bring into this New Year! Come create with me, using the Alchemy Kit, you can follow along with my process below. Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you've been inspired to think about your creative life going into the New Year. Sadly the Alchemy kit is sold out, but there is a new kit available on pre-order that would give a similar look and feel: Ice and Fire Kit Pre-order The stamp set is available here: Empowered Women Stamp Set

Hi Friends, Theresa here with an art journal layout to share with you! I was so excited to see the lovely Tehuana kit featuring Frida Kahlo, who is one of the most inspiring artists and I couldn't wait to make my own page with it. I hope you are inspired by this layout, and will have fun creating something for yourself - there is one caveat though. I've begun my page with an abandoned background, and I hope you will be inspired to go back to one of your abandoned layouts, if you have one, and pick up where you left off. Follow along with my process video below! Thank you so much for watching! You can purchase many of the products I've used in our shop through the following links: Clique Kits Tehuana Kit Stamp Set by Hapi Little Fox called Pieces of Me The Crafter's Workshop Stencil Hi friends! Dana here today sharing a set of triptych panels that I created with the Hokulea Base Kit. A triptych is a set of three panels or compartments side by side, bearing pictures or carvings. This colorful trio of boards featuring designs by Art by Marlene with Studio Light makes me so happy! I covered the three The Crafters Workshop Mixed Media Slimline Boards with Art by Marlene Collage Paper. I then applied Hero Arts Gold Glimmer Metallic Ink to the edge of the boards to add a touch of sparkle. I used black and white washi tape and a scallop border stamp with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink from my stash to embellish the bottom edge of each panel. I attached fussy cut mice and hearts from the Art by Marlene papers to the boards using 3D foam squares for added dimension. I added Studio Light die-cut sentiments and enamel dots to the panels. I finished each panel with some doodled designs using Posca paint pens.

I have a fun sketch to share with you today! It's super fun and I think you will be inspired! Lately, I've been into strips of papers or stickers... I see this style all over Instagram. Here is what I came up with for this month's sketch. I added watercolor inks to the background. Super fun! To create the background, I added a few drops of ink onto leftover packaging and smeared it all over the white cardstock. I made sure to let the first color dry first before applying the other color. Once the ink was completely dry, I cut the patterned paper to measure 8 1/2x11. Then, I cut the cardstock to measure 7 1/2x10 and mounted them together. I cut the paper strips from patterned paper from Pinkfresh Studio. I actually mixed kits to create this layout. The patterned paper strips is from the Happy Blooms Sampler Kit and the embellishments are from the Some Days Kit. Initially, I was not going to include the stenciled stars, but I felt like I needed to add another color... therefore, I decided to splash some black watercolor ink all over the layout and then I used The Crafter's Workshop's Sparkle Slimline Stencil to add the stars. I love the smiley face chipboard! I had to find a way to add it to this layout. :) It makes me happy. And I like the little blue house, too. What do you think? Are you ready to give this sketch a try? If you're not comfortable with the mixed media part of it, you can still create a beautiful layout using parts of the sketch as inspiration. Thank you so much for visiting today!
Happy September! It is Ali here with you today being inspired by Vicki Boutin's new collection, Color Study. If you haven't purchased it yet, I advise you to rush to the shop and buy whatever is left. You will want two of everything if you are like me! This picture was taken of me in Las Vegas at the Seven Magic Mountains. I went there with two friends to run the Rock and Roll Half Marathon. We made a little detour to check out these bright fun boulders and love how bright the colors are in this photo. You can also notice the shadows of the other people checking out the exhibit. I was holding on to this picture for the last couple years because I was waiting for the perfect paper and embellishments to match these boulders. Well it was worth the wait! I am in love and inspired with Vicki's new collection. I used two of her packaging inserts to create that rainbow burst coming out of the photo. I glued one of them flat to the mixed media background and cut the other package insert apart. I used foam tape to pop some of the colors off the page. I also used white stitching rub ons to add a little more texture to the rainbow burst. I love how all that color is radiating right off this page. I completed the layout with stickers and ephemera from this collection. I hope this inspires you to add some color to your layouts.
Dont forget to check out the Add-On Kit | Vicki Boutin Color Study Embellishment Kit | American Crafts (cliquekits.com) in the shop. Live colorfully! Love, Ali xoxo Hello crafty friends! Rita here with a new layout in my Storyline Chapters Notebook. It was definitely not intentional, but after last month's blog post I again have a layout documenting flowers to share with you today! Maybe it's the season - but I'm little obsessed with flowers at the moment. For this layout I used the "Trail Guide" paper from the Heidi Swapp "Carefree" collection as my background paper and added some patterns with the Flora and Fauna Texture stamp set and different Distress Oxide colors. I also used the Heidi Swapp Stamp Set from the Storyline Chapters Album Bundle which you can find here and here. I used the "Tag" stamp to fill a whole 6x8'' paper and used acrylic paint on top. Afterwards I cut them apart and arranged them on the patterned paper. I love how the pink pops and compliments the color of the roses. To add some more highlights I used the new stamp set by Amy Tangerine from the Sao Paolo Kit. It's still one of my favorite stamps right now! Let's take a look at the full layout. I hope you feel inspired to use your stamps and paints to create a fun and playful layout. I had a blast making it. Thanks for stopping by today and see you soon!
Hello crafty friends! Rita here with some new projects I wanted to share with you. I don't know about you, but I loooove to document my December in a 6x8'' album. It's such a special month and I really love everything about it, so I make an album to capture these moments and the best part: I can use all the cute christmas collections. For this year's album I chose Crate Paper's "Hey Santa" as my fave. First of all I made a cover for my album. This was kind of my first "experiment", because I haven't done something like this. I used my Ipad and the "Procreate" app to create it and I'm happy to share it with you here. My version is in german, but I changed it to english, so you can use it. LetI cut it out on a 6x8'' page and painted the background with watercolors. Afterwards I used the pretty stickers from the "Hey Santa" kit to decorate it. I also put some snowflake stickers on the back, so it would shimmer through. I backed the page with vellum and machine stitched around it. Let's look at some close-ups. Maybe you'll notice that I also used metallic watercolors. I love how they correspond to the golden puffy stickers. I also made a little pocket which I included in my album. It also was kind of an experiment, because I played around and made it without instruction. First I folded it, but before glueing everything together I handstitched some of the snowflake with pink yarn, similar to the color of my album cover. Then I decorated the pocket with die cut pieces and stickers. Finally I want to show you another page I made using acrylic paint, stamps and embossing powder. The first thing I did was to use my embossing stamp pad and powder to achieve a shimmering effect. Then I used acrylic paint and a dotted stencil. While it was drying I used the stamp set by The Stamp Market on vellum and embossed it as well. Also I made some snowflakes with a die. This one is by Mintopia but everyone is suitable. In the end I used the different branch stamps to make some highlights and machine stitched around the page again. I hope you liked my "experiments". Make sure to follow me on Instagram to see more December Album spreads which I will post in the next couple of days. Here are some of the products I used and the download file: Paper Pack | Hey Santa + Falala Acrylic Paints Ink Pads Clique Chromatics | Nordic Pine | Add-On Kit Sweet December | Hey, Santa | Crate Paper ![]()

Hello Clique International friends! I'm Smitha here today and I'm sharing some bright floral handmade cards that use the EXPLORE & LEARN | BASIC TEXTURE KIT along with a few elements from the Daydream kit. So let's get started! I started by adding a bold sentiment to my card with a black brush pen. I love hand lettering, and lettered "Happy Birthday" and "Thank you". I find that these are the two cards that I give the most. I then arranged the flowers from the Daydream set to create a soft floral arrangement around the sentiment. I haven't glued these down yet! Next, to add some texture and and fun white on white detail, I added modeling paste on top of this square stencil. Be careful to not get the paste on top of the sentiment. I let the modeling paste dry for a few minutes, that's all it takes for a thin layer to harden. I love how beautiful it looks! I finished off the card by glueing the paper flowers onto the modeling paste and then scattering some sequins here and there. Here are my finished cards! Let me know in the comments below if you like using modeling paste on your cards as well! Thank you for stopping by and head over to the Clique shop to see this and all the other gorgeous kits www.cliquekits.com ![]() Hello crafty friends! Rita here today with a new layout using all kinds of goodies from the awesome Clique International Shop. As always I will link all the products I've used. My task was to make an experimental project and I chose a 12x12'' format because of the space. I dug out my acrylic paints and stencils and got messy. I used an indigo color and molding paste for the stencil. This is always the first thing to do: Having lots of fun with the paint and just let it flow. And after that there's always a break (so the paint can dry). Meanwhile I edit and print out my photos and go through my supplies and stash. Here I definitly wanted to use the Miss Modern Sampler Kit (The Stamp Market) and some leftover bits and pieces and stamps. During the summer months (till the end of September) there are a lot of fields of flowers in our area where people are allowed to cut the flowers by themselves (and leave some money on a stand afterwards). By coincidence I happened to find myself on such a field, surrounded by sunflowers, chrysants and wildflowers. The last flowers before it will get too cold to grow and bloom. Of course I had to document the beautiful bouquet I'd picked. I used a wildflower stencil by Tim Holtz I still had in my stash. But every floral design would have been fine. Then I found all the ephemera pieces from the Miss Modern collection I loved in combination with the photos. As you can see I also used some paper scraps I cut or tore into pieces. Also I love how the colors of the enamel dots pop. Especially the yellow ones. So fun! I used the stamps by The Stamp Market and Studio Forty. And some word stickers which are from the Little Black Dress Kit. I love them, because they are so versatile and usable on almost every project! For the title I used the Alpha sticker sheet by Miss Modern. Now let's take a final look at the whole layout. I hope you feel inspired to get creative, use a little paint, some pretty papers and ephemera and journaling pieces. Below I list all the (still available or similar) products which helped me creating this layout:

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a nice day and happy crafting! ![]() Hi friends! Gia here with an "Inspired by" post and 12 x 12 layout. Today I want to talk a little bit about accent colors. Accent colors are like when you decorate a room with an eye pleasing color palette and then BOOM there it is...the throw pillow with just a POP of unexpected color! A game I love to play for inspiration is to pick a color and type it into the search bar in Pinterest and see what it brings up. Our eyes are magnetically drawn in to the images with colors in certain proportions. The dominant color is important of course. But then there are the harmonious colors used with it in lesser amounts, and finally the finishing touch...that statement accessory. You get the idea!
There is really nothing difficult or time consuming about this layout...no hard work, no need for technology or electricity even. All of the magic is in the color which is layered in from background texture to the last embellishment- a faux wax seal by Maggie Holmes from one of last years fall kits (Gaia). I hope you will try taking some inspiration from all of the beautiful color palettes in the fall kits! Thanks so much for stopping by today- leave a question or a comment below!
