Hooray for October! It's finally time to get serious about fall and everything that goes along with it...like pumpkin patches, apple picking, favorite hot drinks, and family time! The Main and Traveler's Notebook kits this month feature the Pink Paislee Auburn Lane collection are so absolutely gorgeous. One of the florals and the vellum specialty paper in the main kit called out to me to fussy cut. I added texture to the background with a brick pattern stencil and the Bo Bunny glitter paste in the all new Clique Color kit! The washi tape from the TN kit is also so beautiful this month- I had to use some on this layout and there will be plenty to use even after this month has come and gone. I got my title acrylic from a small business in the UK called Bramble Fox. If you are not familiar with the Bramble Fox shop you should definitely check them out! Clique Kits always supports other small businesses so if you know of any you would like to see featured by Clique Kits please let us know! I hope that you are one of the lucky subscribers to have this kit heading your way this week-- new subscriptions now would start with the November kit but if there are any October kits left they will be available a la carte in the Clique Kits shop. We are very excited that we will be offering a new and varied color kit each month as an add on shipping free for subscribers with their monthly box! These kits will give us an opportunity to try lots of different stamping and mixed media products without worrying about getting overwhelmed in choosing colors or types of products that will help us get those creative juices flowing!
Don't forget that Hannah will be starting her Fall class this month. The class kits have sold out but if you act quickly you can still get a spot in the class. Hi Clique Kits friends! Gia here with another kickoff post ushering in the fall and winter season which of course is always an exciting time of year! September is bittersweet bringing back to school and the end of carefree summer days but a time of renewal and fresh starts. Teachers, students, moms, and many others have lives that revolve around the academic calendar. Here at Clique Kits we will be concluding the Spring and Summer design team term and have just closed our call for new cut file designers and ambassadors for the Fall/ Winter term! Stay tuned for announcements soon. As always we have been overwhelmed with the response from so many talented crafters and it is going to be excruciating as always to have to make final selections. First up I am sharing a mood board created in anticipation of the gorgeous September Farmhouse kits. I hope you are excited to receive your September kit soon as they begin shipping on Monday! Modern farmhouse style is one of this years most popular aesthetics in the home decor world and it was a pleasure to curate this kit with a rich color palette of greens and botanical illustrations, black and white textile patterns like stripes, buffalo checks, polka dots, and toiles, and those pops of sunny, lemon yellow! The Kaisercraft Fleur collection, Webster's Pages The Good Life, and Fancy Pants Designs Magnolia Moments are all featured in the September kits and coordinate so well together we think Joanna Gaines would be proud (lol). Do you have a favorite kit component that you look forward to every month? It's hard to choose just one but I have to say I absolutely love ephemera. I really love using pretty die cut pieces in layering, embellishing, and creating texture and depth on my layouts. I used a lot of the main kit florals in this layout and I love how the blush pinks contrast against the black and white. Make sure you are following this blog for more inspiration all month long from the design team and ambassadors. Get inspired by the monthly sketch and if you are a blogger or have a crafty Instagram account don't forget to sign up for the monthly Pep Rally. Participants earn points for free product! If you have not already done so, make sure you have pre-ordered one or both of the amazing limited edition holiday kits which will start shipping in October! Whatever your style or mode of documenting your holidays or even if you wish to make handmade cards or tags you will love the holiday kits this year. Last but not least, sign up now to take the Forever Fall class hosted by You Tuber and Design team member Hannah Lemieux. You can order the Simple Stories collection kit in the Clique Kits shop while supplies last or use your stash if you prefer. Hannah will be sharing some mixed media techniques and has a wonderful, engaging style of interacting with scrapbookers on Facebook and on You Tube. Everyone taking the class will have access to the exclusive digitals designed for this class! Don't miss it!
Welcome to August! By now you have seen the sneaks and kits photos circulating on social media revealing the August Meadow kits and I'm sure the anticipation is building for shipping to begin at the end of the week. Some of you are going to acknowledge right away that this month's main kit has many twists and turns that distinguish it from the average Clique Kit. The spotlight designer this month is Alexandra Renke: a German company where the products feature the beautiful watercolor and calligraphy artwork of the artist. Each one is a work of art in itself, and could serve as a base for a layout. For example, I saw this bright fuchsia and calligraphy paper as the low hanging fruit for me to pluck to create my first layout! Using the thick, heavy weight cardstock as the background, the layout came together in minutes with bits and pieces from the kit. Don't be afraid to try new things this month and as always- follow the blog and design team on social media for daily inspiration and ideas! Pull out some mixed media supplies and don't be afraid to get messy. Thanks for stopping by today and I can't wait to see what you create with Meadow!
I know everyone is starting to get excited because the beautiful May kits will be shipping in just a few days but here at Clique Kits we are getting excited because this month we have two amazing women joining our creative team! This post is all about introducing our newest graphic designers who will be working behind the scenes creating exclusive products to coordinate with your upcoming kits! Welcome Zinia...Hello everyone, my name is Zinia Amoiridou (pronounced A-MEE-REE-T͟HOO) and I live in sunny Greece. I’ve been into stationery and paper crafts since I can remember myself. In school I was the kid with the colorful pens and cute notebooks. Growing up I slowly started getting into photography and designing as well. I’m honored to be a member in a bunch of amazing design teams, teach online classes and local workshops and also work as a product designer. If you would like to learn more about Zinia, check out her blog Abstract Inspirations or her You Tube Channel! Zinia's style is bright and colorful and you can check out collections she designed over at Pretty Little Studio. We love her artwork and her cheerful color palettes. As someone who uses products in our industry for scrapbooking, planning, card making, and more she really understands our Clique! We can't wait to see the exclusive designs she creates for Clique Kits! Meet Cecily!Cecily Moore is somewhat of a jack-of-all trades when it comes to crafting, but primarily she is a graphic designer and illustrator. She lives and works in New York City blogging and selling artfully designed paper goods for modern creatives at The Paper Curator, her online store. Her aesthetic is artful, bright, and modern and she specializes in hand-lettering and scattering handmade textures and patterns throughout her work. Here are Cecily's links: Website/Blog: www.thepapercurator.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thepapercurator/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cecily_thepapercurator/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/thepapercurator Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/thepapercurator Here is a peek at Cecily's scrapbooking: I just adore Cecily's products! We hope you will check out the links to both of these amazing designers and get to know them a little better! We can't wait to see their exclusive products in upcoming Clique Kits and know you will love their work as much as we do!
Clique kits is so excited to announce that it is time for another design team call!
This call is for the term from April-October 2018 We are searching for paper crafters to create inspiring content for our You Tube channel and our blog, with a focus primarily on one of these two means of engaging our subscribers and followers. As part of the Clique Kits design team you will have the opportunity to work with premium designer collections, lots of embellishments, first rate exclusive products, and curated supplies from artisans and small businesses unique to our kits and shop. If you are someone who lovingly puts time and energy into handmade cards, layouts, and other memory keeping projects, enjoys engaging on social media and the online scrapbooking community, and understands how to make an impression with excellent project presentation skills we would love to have you on our team. Our kits are versatile, fun, a little bit trendy (ok maybe more than a little bit), unique, and eclectic. Does this sound like a good fit for you? APPLY NOW ! The deadline for applications is February 19th at 11:59 pm central time. Please email us at info@cliquekits.com and provide your name, address, email address, and links to places we can find your best work. At a minimum, we would like to visit your blog, Instagram feed, any galleries you have, and your You Tube channel if you have one. Please specify in your email if your sharing method of choice is by video (You Tube, Facebook Live, etc) or through written communication (writing blog posts) and also tell us what other teams you are currently designing for and would be designing for during this term. Experience on other design teams is not necessary. Enthusiasm, personality, reliability, and ability to be a team player are key! Please note: a facebook account is required for this position and skill with digital die cutting files is highly desired. You may attach photos of 1-2 different projects that best demonstrate your style in your application. We are looking forward to meeting you soon! Happy Friday and the first day of December! I hope that you are busy starting your December documenting and maybe getting excited to start opening your advent calendar! This year's December kit is full of beautiful colors and imagery that work with so many different themes, seasons, and styles. The name Lemonade is not only inspired by the lemon images in the papers and embellishments but is also a nod to our subscribers and others who live in the Southern hemisphere where December is a summer month! So wherever you are, and whatever you are documenting this month- we hope that you will enjoy the main and travelers notebook kits this month. Here is a mood board I created to get the ball rolling! Here is a layout inspired by the orange wall with the frame gallery in the lower right corner of the mood board. The cute frame motif in the Dear Lizzy Stargazer collection is one of my favorite elements in the kit-I just had to highlight them on a layout. To create this layout I used watercolor paper as my base and did a two color wash with pink and orange watercolor paint. I fussy cut some frames from one of the papers and also used some of the Paige Evans wood veneers and cut apart printables in the main kit. I borrowed a snip of washi tape from the travelers notebook kit this month to attach one of my photos and voila! A super easy page. How about some close ups? Can't wait to see what you all create with the December kits which will begin shipping this weekend! Don't forget to email us to sign up for the Pep Rally on December 20th. Use the Pep Rally hashtags when you share your projects on Instagram to receive your points/product credits this month. Hugs!
