Happy Halloween my Clique friends! It is Ali here with you today sharing a spooky Halloween layout using the Seasonal Kit |Happy Halloween from Fancy Pants. I had so much fun creating with this wonderful kit. I wanted to use all the papers in the kit, so I decided to cut 4 of my favorites into squares and matted a series of 4 of my favorite pictures from a haunted hike I did with my husband this past week. After I laid out my papers, I created a faux stitching around them and love the look it gives my page. I used the die cuts and enamels dots to embellish my layout. I also added a spooky ghost flair from Scrappin Happy Studio that went perfectly with this Clique Kit. I pop dotted the tags and other ephemera to give some dimension to the layout. How cute is this spider dangling from the top of the page. I love this kit and the muted colors for Halloween. Go check it out in the shop for your Halloween layouts this year, you will not regret it.
Have a Happy Halloween and Stay Spooky! Love, Ali

Hi friends, Theresa here with a summer-beach layout for you! I was inspired by this gorgeous Vicki Boutin patterned paper included in the Cape May Kit along with these delicious enamel dots from Fancy Pants. My main idea was to create a sunburst using those colorful dots, and this is how the layout progressed from there. You can follow along with my process right here! Products used in this layout include Patterned Papers, Enamel Dots, Chipboard Circle, and Puffy Stickers from the Cape May Kit: Clique Kits Seasonal Cape May Kit Products from my stash: Elle's Studio Celebrate Summer stamp set (no longer available) Bazzill Card Stock in Rain (also no longer available) Happy Summer Clique Peeps! it is Ali here with you today sharing a fun layout for the Clique Con Challenge. Have you created yours yet? There are so many free wonderful cut files in the shop for you to create with. I was so excited to use the Miss Incredible one that Petra created. I happened to run into Miss Incredible by the Incredibles roller coaster at Disneyland and was happy to pose with her. I used the Fancy Pants, Sidekick Optional collection from the shop to create this layout. I started off by cutting the buildings out of the second sheet and stacked two layers of foam tape to one layer. I offset it a little to give it even more dimension and love how 3D the layout looks with the stacked buildings. Petra created this amazing cut file and I had so much fun working with it. I cut out the title using the black and white graph paper included the collection and decided not to back fill it with paper. I pop dotted the title and used Stickles to fill in some of the polka dots on the background paper. I love how it turned out. I used a few die cuts that were included in this kit from the shop and decorated around the picture. I cut a bulls eye out of another sheet in the collection and added it to a corner and love how it draws the eye up to that corner. I finished off the layout with a few enamel dots. Don't forget to head to the Clique Shop and enjoy those free cut files to join the Clique Con Challenge this month. Happy Summer!
Love, Ali xoxo Hello my crafty peeps! It is Ali here with you today sharing a layout I created for the Let's go challenge using the Just Plane Fun line from Fancy Pants. I was waiting for that perfect line to use with one of my favorite travel photos. We were headed to Utah to attend an event at Doodlebug Designs and I asked the stewardess if I could take a picture of the pilot in the cockpit. She went to ask him and before I knew it I was sitting in the co-pilot's seat. How cool is that! I was amazed at all the controls and how tight it was too sit in that seat. I used a cut file from Paige Evans and backed the plane using the Just Plane Sampler kit. I added wooden veneer people to fill the seats of the plane and love that you can see them through the windows made of vellum. Vellum was also used in the backing of all the clouds. I made the top clouds into shakers and outlined all the clouds with Stickles. I added enamel dots to the background and a few die cuts from the Just Plane Fun Sampler kit. The kit is on sale in the shop. It's such a great line for all your travel pictures. I am excited to have more plane fun creating with this line. http://cliquekits.com/sampler-kit-just-plane-fun-fancy-pants-designs/ I really miss traveling and hope to be on a plane again real soon. In the mean time I will be scrapping all my travels and keeping the memories close!
Safe travels my friends! Love, Ali xoxo Hello Lovelies, Theresa Moxley here today with a fun travel themed layout to share with you! I am working with December's Rainbow kit, which is filled with amazing products from Fancy Pants, so let's have a look. I was inspired by the horizontal strips so I decided to cut that patterned paper partially into strips. I really liked the contrast of the colorful stripes on the A-side, and the black and white on the B-side. So I looped the strips around and created a this vertical element on the left side of the layout. Everything else on the layout is very much horizontal, which creates a unique tension on the layout. I have used the word strips in the die cut pack to introduce text onto the layout and to point towards my photo. My photo is from a trip we took several years ago to Linville Falls in the mountains of North Carolina. This is a great little hike through woods and down a secluded path that opens out onto this beautiful waterfall. Notice how even though the layout doesn't have anything to do with planes, trains, or automobiles, those papers still work because they tell part of the story of our journey. I wanted to play a bit with the other patterns in the kit, so I took a cloud punch and punched clouds. I wanted to balance the vertical element on the left side, so the clouds are arranged vertically and they are joined in a way using the twine. The twine also repeats the black and white. This was such a fun layout and I hope you are inspired to use your Rainbow kits this month! See you again soon! Hello Lovelies! Theresa here today to share with you a story based layout and this one comes from our Bermuda honeymoon album. My husband and I got married, each of us for the second time, in 2012 and traveled to Bermuda for our honeymoon. This layout starts with an amazing story that we laugh about so often and I am delighted to share it with you today! Bermuda is an amazing place to visit if you love discovering new places and the sun! The island has an interesting rule, however, and that is no rental cars are allowed. So tourists are left to use public transportation or rental scooters. We rented a scooter and even though I had quite a bit of trepidation around being on it, we actually loved driving around and finding so many amazing places to visit. One of the lovely places we found was the St. David's Lighthouse. It was quite a ways out from our hotel, and the road at one point leading up to the lighthouse became one way. When we left the lighthouse, we climbed onto the scooter and Alan drove like he was going to continue going down that one way road. However, the road ended and beyond the end of the road was a drop off, a cliff, and at the bottom was the ocean. Well, I saw that the road was ending and I started yelling into Alan's ear, "You can't go that way! The road ends here!" He did end up stopping and going back down the one way road, and we laugh about this story so often. There were a couple of elements in the Regatta kit that reminded me of this story! I have used elements such as the Beach This Way cut apart as a sort of tongue in cheek statement, since the lighthouse was not really beach accessible! Ha! I also used the Pool Rules cut apart element, even though this layout is not about a pool at all. And the "Come in the water's fine" word strip just totally cracks me up. All of these elements reinforce the humor of the situation! This album is a 9x12 pocket page album and I am alternating full page layouts with pocket pages in this album. The right side of this layout includes supporting photos of us in and around the lighthouse. I have used some of the Clique Kits exclusive cut apart sheet to create 3x4 cards to continue telling the story of this visit. The photo above is just a bit to the right of where we almost went off the cliff, and this is a perfect photo to include so we can remember where we were! I took some of the square elements from the cut apart sheet and layered them onto 3x4 plain white cardstock so they would fill my 3x4 pockets. This also brings in a bit more white space to the layout. Here is one more look at this fun (and funny!) layout. Notice how I have pulled the reds and blues in this kit and repeated them across the layout, in the photos, the papers, and the embellishments, to tie this layout all together. I have had so much fun sharing this layout with you today and telling you this fun story from our honeymoon! Thank you for joining me. Are you using your Regatta kit? She's back today with some wonderful projects for us. I love how she mixed all the Glam Camp patterns from the My Minds Eye Market Street papers in each of her fun projects. Katie really captured the essence of these beautiful Market Street patterns and combined them beautifully with the earthy textures and glam in Glam Camp. And now for Katie's layouts!! I just adore how she used a pen to accent the elements on her pages and how she added her handwritten journaling. Outlining letter stickers really gives them some more dimension and makes them pop right off your page! Such great details from Katie here. A huge Clique Kits thank you to Katie Smith for playing along with Glam Camp this month and sharing her creative spirit with all of us. You can check out Katie's blog here and see more of her there. Hey everyone! Erica here with you today to talk about using busy, bold and fun papers on your layouts! I tend to use white cardstock as my base for layouts or a very subtle paper as my layout base but I always admire when other scrabookers use the busy patterns in their layouts! So today I am sharing a layout I created using a beautiful polka dot paper from My Minds Eye that is included in the August 2014 kit. Now this may not be busy for some scrapbookers but for me this would normally be cut up and used as a layer piece in my layouts but today I went for it and used it as my base! Once my layout was complete and I stuck everything down and committed to using it I really did love how it looked! To keep my main focal point from looking like it was just floating on the page I adhered two strips of solid paper along the top and the bottom of my page. This helps to ground your layout and give it more of a complete look. I also used some cork embellishment from my stash to try and create a visual triangle to help your eye move around the page. You can see I also stamped out some tiny hearts from the Lawn Fawn stamp set Wish You Were Here pretty close to the cork embellishments. The Fancy Pants corrugated paper adds some texture to my layout along with the May Arts string that was also included in this months kit! Using busier backgrounds as a base for me will take some getting use to but I am up for the challenge! How about you? Do you love using a busy pattern paper as your base? Feel free to leave your tips and tricks in the comments section below if you would like share! I challenge you to pull out your busiest pattern paper and have some fun! Share with us on Facebook or upload to our Flickr gallery! If you are a subscriber and using one of your kits please upload to our Pinterest group board! I am looking forward to seeing what you all share with us! Thanks so much for stopping today! I really hope you enjoyed my layout today as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you! Our 25% off sale is still going on and some products in our store are already marked down so this is the perfect time to get some great deals on some fabulous products! Enjoy your day!
Products used today August 2014 Glam Camp Kit My Minds Eye Enamel Dots Lawn Fawn Wish You Were Here Stamp Set July 2014 Kit Today I want to share a few cards I created with the May kit - Field Trip. I have two short tutorials as well showing how I put two of the cards together. There will be lots of pictures so lets get started! Shaker cards have been around for quite some time now. I just want to show you how I made this particular shaker card. The next step-by-step is shorter. I just want to show you the elements I picked for a journal card to make it my own. As you see below, I set out some embellishments that I considered using on the card and they played around with where I wanted to place these elements. Working with different shapes and sizes. I loved how many journal cards came with the May kit! So of course I found ways to use them. I used them creating journal cards as well as cards. I also love to make cards with scraps of the kit. The card below I used a Studio Calico Acetate Sheet to help enhance the pieces of this kit I found laying around. I paired it with a bubble word (which will be available in the Clique Kits store soon!) There you have it! There are so many uses for the bits and pieces of your kits as well and uses for journal cards to really make them your own and fit your projects and personality! Lacey Before you go! Here is a quick view into our June kit - Show & Tell! June subscriptions still available. The kit will go into our shop tomorrow to be purchased as a single kit.
