Hi there, it is Piroska here today and this is my very first post at Clique International. I am very grateful to Gia who invited me to join this team of amazingly talented crafters! I hope to be able to inspire you with my works.
For the first time I got an interesting task to fulfill: I had to scraplift a layout of one of the followers of Clique International. I chose Kim Allen and her layout made for the challenge of Marcia Dehn-Nix last month. Kim's layout is bright and colourful, and I really loved the idea of the triangle composition. But before I show you my scraplift, let me introduce you Kim who was ready to answer some questions:
Q: Kim, I've just seen in the Clique International Facebook Group that you make many layouts. Why do you love scrapbooking?
A: I started scrapbooking when attending a creative memories show done by a friend. I started just because I wanted to support her. Fast forward 20 + years later, I have fallen in love with this hobby. I love that there are NO rules for scrapbooking. I can create whatever makes my heart happy and that is OK. I have just started to dabble in mixed media pages and I am really loving the effects of all the different mediums on my pages.
Q: Why do you love Clique International?
A: I found Clique Kits a few months after it started and I have been a fan since day 1. I love that the kits are such a variety of different companies put into the most amazing kits. I have been introduced some of the most amazing manufactures and independent companies. I LOVE that there are kits to introduce me to new techniques or different holiday kits. I really LOVE that there are so many choices at Clique kits and you can mix and match to your hearts content.
- Thank you, Kim, I am so happy to get to know you a little better :-)

And here is my scraplift:
As I have mentioned before, I was inspired by the triangle design of Kim’s layout. I chose the Design Team announcement photo and paired it with the beautiful So Romantic Base Kit which you can now pre-order in the shop. It has so beautiful colours, and I love the floral paper so much, I had to fussy-cut some of the flowers.
I cut the Floral Heart Frame 1 cut file of CUT to YOU from smooth white cardstock - I didn't want to paint a rainbow, but wanted to keep the heart from Kim's layout as an element.
I got my Prima Marketing Watercolor Confections Pastel Dream watercolours and painted a background for the photo, the cut heart and my title as well. As a base I used Florence Watercolor paper so I didn't need to use gesso.
I backed my photo with patterned papers of the collection, and started to arrange the fussy cut flowers. I only glued them on one side so that they can be lifted up from the background paper. I also added adhesive foam to some of them, and used the stickers of the collection to get dimensions.
Finally I added some more stickers, chipboards to the layout.
It was so fun to scraplift Kim's layout! I'm rarely paint on my layouts but it was so good to get out of my controll zone. Thanks, Kim! :-)
Today I have my first layout with the March, Wonderful You, kit which is full of bright colours and fun elements! I have also used an older, but very cool, CK cut file, 'She Loves Color-Paint'.
I duplicated the Paint cut file and used the negative. It is backed with this beautiful bright yellow paper in the kit.
I then used a stencil (from my stash) and some black gesso to give some great contrast to the bright colours.
I layered up some of the papers to frame my photo and cut some words from the Studio Forty, Invincible, paper and added to the layout.
I love the SuperYou transparent word stickers in this kit!
lastly I used one of the Pretty Little Studio tags and some twine that wrapped your beautiful collection when it arrived, to date my photo.
Have fun with your kit and keep checking The Clique on Facebook for more inspiration.
Cheers, Sue Smith
Hello crafty friends! While it's still October I wanted to share my take on the CK October sketch with you.
This was a quick one. But it needed some preparation beforehand: real leaves from outside, or in my case leaves from the birch tree outside our house, which I've let dry a couple of days after collecting.
For this layout I used a paper from an older Maggie Holmes collection and this month's Cut File „Leafy“,
the already mentioned leaves and mostly stickers from the Amy Tangerine „Shine On“ sticker book which you can find in November's CK TN Kit. For the title I mixed some leftover Alpha Stickers.
I really like the idea to preserve some leaves from this year's fall in my scrapbook album. I hope you like the idea aswell and feel inspired to collect some leaves of your own to use on a layout.
Don't forget to share your take on the sketch in the Clique FB group or on Instagram (@cliquekits #cliquekits) if you haven't already. Thanks for stopping by and see you soon!
Hi everyone! Welcome to my first post for the Clique Kits Cutfile team. As we are heading into summer in New Zealand, this is a very summery page, using:
This Is Us Digital Collection
Perfect Weather cut file
Snow Cones cut file
Tropical Florals cut file
I started by downloading and printing the This Is Us digital collection. This collection has 18 gorgeous papers, and ephemera, including a sheet of die cuts, hearts and labels.
I cut the 'Perfect Weather' cut file 3 times to make a thicker title, 2 white and one mauve. I layered the whites on top of each other and then offset the mauve to give a nice shadow effect.
These are the 'Snow Cones' and 'Tropical Florals' cut files. I cut the Snow Cones apart and put some either side of the photo.
Add some of the cut out ephemera and labels and its done!
Hope you are inspired to check out the digital files in the Clique Shop.
