Hi all, So nice that you stop by! This month it's my turn to experiment! So, I used the free cut file that was given during the June Clique Con event and started painting a "galaxy"! It's super easy to do, so tag along! For this layout, I used the Limited edition Little One kit, not just for babies as you see! If you are looking for some great shimmering galaxy paint, check these out, awesome colors! So let's start. You don't need much:
Start with adding the lightest color in a circle (or what looks like a circle haha) and add the other 2 colors around it. Give a good layer because you want it to stay wet... Now the fun begins! Take your piece of sponge and start dabbing in circular motions from the light inside to the dark outside. Don't worry if it doesn't look smooth. If you want, you can add a little extra light in the middle to create that sparkle. Make the edge of your darkest color a bit "rough" as on the picture, that give a more spacious effect. Now it's time to create some "stars"! Water down some white paint and take that tooth brush or your small brush and start splattering. The tooth brush makes tiny tiny splatters which look like litte stars, perfect for our galaxy! And that's all there is to it!
I cannot wait to see your galaxies in our Facebook group! Thanks for stopping by, and if you have any questions... let me know! Love Petra

Happy Summer Clique Peeps! it is Ali here with you today sharing a fun layout for the Clique Con Challenge. Have you created yours yet? There are so many free wonderful cut files in the shop for you to create with. I was so excited to use the Miss Incredible one that Petra created. I happened to run into Miss Incredible by the Incredibles roller coaster at Disneyland and was happy to pose with her. I used the Fancy Pants, Sidekick Optional collection from the shop to create this layout. I started off by cutting the buildings out of the second sheet and stacked two layers of foam tape to one layer. I offset it a little to give it even more dimension and love how 3D the layout looks with the stacked buildings. Petra created this amazing cut file and I had so much fun working with it. I cut out the title using the black and white graph paper included the collection and decided not to back fill it with paper. I pop dotted the title and used Stickles to fill in some of the polka dots on the background paper. I love how it turned out. I used a few die cuts that were included in this kit from the shop and decorated around the picture. I cut a bulls eye out of another sheet in the collection and added it to a corner and love how it draws the eye up to that corner. I finished off the layout with a few enamel dots. Don't forget to head to the Clique Shop and enjoy those free cut files to join the Clique Con Challenge this month. Happy Summer!
Love, Ali xoxo Hello my Clique Kit friends! it is Ali here with you today with my Sunshine & Rainbows layout! I was so excited to see this beautiful Sampler Kit by Cocoa Vanilla Studio in the shop. I mean who doesn't love rainbows! This paper just screamed out to me and it matched my rainbow dress perfectly! Then I saw this free cut file from Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine and knew that it had to go on my rainbow page! How perfect is this Sunkissed collection from Cocoa Vanilla. I used the 6x8 paper pad to back up the cut file. You can also purchase this in the shop to add on with the sampler kit. I used foam tape on the back of the cut file to give some dimension to the page. I embellished the layout with the rainbow flair and the die cut package that was included in this kit. I am just beyond thrilled on how this layout came together with this wonderful collection, cut file and the picture of me in my rainbow dress and Mr. Sunshine! Hurry quick to the shop to purchase this kit because it is on sale and you don't want to miss out on it! Hope everyone has a sunshine and rainbow kind of day! Love, Ali xoxo Hello my crafty peeps! It is Ali here with you today sharing a layout I created with the wonderful Sampler Kit | Vicki Boutin Color Study | American Crafts and the Add-on Kit | Vicki Boutin Color Study Paper Pack | American Crafts . Can we talk about the vibrant and bold colors in these kits! I am in love and I have to say this is my favorite Vicki Boutin line, hands down! This fun picture was taken of Vicki and me at a Crop and Create event in Canada. We had so much fun with the photo props and this one just makes me smile every time I see this picture of us. I had a hard time choosing what paper to use for my layout, so I decided to use every paper in her collection and fill this fun flower cut file. I love how it displays all the papers in her collection. I used her foam title stickers for the title of my layout and embellished with cute little foam dot and heart stickers to frame the flower. I always use foam tape to pop my cut files and give it more dimension. I also popped our picture, so it stood out on the bright and bold background. If you have not already, go check out the Clique Shop for all these fun Spring kits! So many fun ones to create with!
I hope you enjoy this layout as much as I do. Cheers to another happy craft weekend! Love, Ali xoxo Hello my crafty peeps! It is Ali here with you today sharing a layout I created for the Let's go challenge using the Just Plane Fun line from Fancy Pants. I was waiting for that perfect line to use with one of my favorite travel photos. We were headed to Utah to attend an event at Doodlebug Designs and I asked the stewardess if I could take a picture of the pilot in the cockpit. She went to ask him and before I knew it I was sitting in the co-pilot's seat. How cool is that! I was amazed at all the controls and how tight it was too sit in that seat. I used a cut file from Paige Evans and backed the plane using the Just Plane Sampler kit. I added wooden veneer people to fill the seats of the plane and love that you can see them through the windows made of vellum. Vellum was also used in the backing of all the clouds. I made the top clouds into shakers and outlined all the clouds with Stickles. I added enamel dots to the background and a few die cuts from the Just Plane Fun Sampler kit. The kit is on sale in the shop. It's such a great line for all your travel pictures. I am excited to have more plane fun creating with this line. http://cliquekits.com/sampler-kit-just-plane-fun-fancy-pants-designs/ I really miss traveling and hope to be on a plane again real soon. In the mean time I will be scrapping all my travels and keeping the memories close!
Safe travels my friends! Love, Ali xoxo Happy Fall Ya'll! It's Alexandra here today with my first blog post for Clique International design team. I am excited to be here with everyone and wanted to let you know that my friends and family call me Ali. Feel free to follow me on Instagram at @funadventureswithali . I hope you enjoy this Fall layout I created of my husband and me apple picking. I created this page using the Seasonal Series|Fall Stories|Simple Stories kit and had so much fun backing the leaves cut file from Cut To You with all the different papers from Simple Stories. I was dying to use those beautiful pink sequins that were included in this kit, since they matched the color of my shirt perfectly. I decided to make a few of the leaves shakers and took packaging from the sticker package and backed a couple of leaves with the cellophane and the pink polka dot paper, with the pink sequins inside. To add dimension to the layout I added foam tape behind the cut file. I lightly painted the white cardstock using a pink ink pad and water on another cellophane sticker packaging sheet and kissed the cardstock lightly with the wrapper to add some color to the background. I added some stickers and brads, which are self adhesive now and so easy to use. I was inspired by the Song Falling in Love because Fall is our favorite season and we do some of our favorite activities during this season, including apple picking. I hope you fall in love with this layout as much as I have and can't wait to share more projects with my new peeps! Take Care, Ali Hello Everyone, it's Piroska here today with my latest layout for Clique International. Have you already seen the Let's Stay Home collection by Pinkfresh Studio? It is amazing, full of beautiful embellishments to document our daily life in or after Lockdown. You can purchase it as a Let's Stay Home Sampler Kit at Clique Kits, and there is also a Let's Stay Home Paper Kit and a Let's Stay Home Add-On Kit with great embellishments. Believe me, you need them all! ;-) When the pandemic reached Hungary there were different opinions about whether we should we wear a mask or not. There was also a short supply of them, so many have started to make their own masks. Me too. I am very grateful for my mum, who taught me how to sew with a sewing machine when I was a teenie. Now I could use that skill (and I don't only sew on my scrapbook layouts ;-P ) First I cut the Sew Happy cut file of CUT to YOU from smooth white cardstock with my Cameo. I just love that floral ornament on that machine! As my photos, i.e. my masks are blue, I wanted to back those flowers with blue patterned paper. I chose the Hope for a New Day paper from the 12x12 Paper Kit and backed the petals one by one with the blue and light-blue rays of the rainbow. For the bigger buttons I used the other side of the same paper. Finally I backed the sewing machine with the light pink side of the rainbow paper. For my background I chose the Better Things Are Ahead paper from the Paper Pack. It has a similar, beautiful blue colour with a floral pattern, so it matched my sewing machine very well. My photos were to small, so I had to find out how to make my photo strip more dominant. I decided to make use of the rest of that rainbow paper and adhered it to the background paper. I glued cardboard on the back of the cut file so it stands out of the background, and glued 2 sheets of cardboard behind the photo strip. Then I started to embellish. I love florals, so first I added the floral cut outs from the Let's Stay Home Sampler Kit. I also added some phrase cut outs, a fabric bow, cardstock and puffy stickers - it is so easy to decorate the pages because there is a great offer of embellishments in the kit and the Add-On Kit. For my title I used both Alpha stickers. I really love how it turned out! I definetely going to make some more layouts with this collection, it is great to work with! Wishing you much happy scrappy-time and stay safe - wear a mask!
Hello Clique Family! Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I am here to share some inspiration to get your love day photos scrapped using some fun Valentine theme cut files! Today I'm sharing a 12x12 layout featuring an exclusive cut file I designed for the Clique Facebook group Valentine's Day cut file giveaway! If you're not a part of the group, be sure you head over and join in on the fun! The cut file used today, along with several others, are available now in the shop as free .png's to cut on any machine! The link is down below! I recently got my hands on some of the gorgeous new Doodlebug Love Notes collection and I am swooning over it! When I saw the globe and two love birds, this idea came to me and I totally ran with it! I do have to say, it was probably one of the quickest layouts I've ever put together. Before I even started, I knew that I wanted the cut file to be the largest element on the page. I did some stash busting and found a black chalkboard paper, then coincidentally found the background paper with all of the smaller black hearts. It was PERFECT! I cut my heart cut file on my Silhouette Cameo 4, then laid it on my background. It got lost a little because there was so much going on, so I used my white gesso to smudge a heart right where my cut file would be. After drying, I glued my cut file into place and began embellishing. I started with my photo first. I knew I wanted to use this specific photo and I knew I wanted to use the globe with the title "My World." For me, it's easier to start with what I know I want first, then embellish around it. I spent some time fussy cutting papers from Doodlebug for added leaves and flowers. I also decided to stick the word "world" on white cardstock and fussy cut around it so it stood out a bit more. Since my photo cluster was on the bottom right of my page, I added another cluster in the top left to balance the layout out. I used a few die cuts and also two layered bird stickers with some enamel dots and thread to finish off this cluster. Lastly, since do everything in odd numbers, I added another small cluster of flowers and enamel dots. This seemed to bring the whole layout together. After everything was adhered and in place, I added some black splatters and my journaling along one of the lines on the heart. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head on over to grab this cut file along with all of the others! Cut file used in this layout: You can download all of the Valentine's Day Freebies here. New Zealand guest designer Tammy is back for a post sharing her second layout using the Rosie's Studio Indigo Mist kit. I love how she incorporated motifs like the clouds representing the meaning of the name New Zealand in Maori and how she die cut greenery to symbolize the bush and the magical place she took these photos! Read on... The inspiration for this layout is one of my favourite places in New Zealand Te Apiti or otherwise known as the Manawatu Gorge. A beautiful bush covered walk that challenges the body but rests the mind. There really is something soulful about this place, it doesn't seem to matter how many times I run or walk through it, it can always challenge me physically and yet it is where I feel most at peace. There are a few tracks to be found winding their way up and through the gorge and at the crossroads of these you are greeted by the magnificent sight of Whatonga, an ancient Maori warrior, who has been immortalised in a 6m tall sculpture. So the bush and the colour of the sculpture is what I have based my colour scheme from. I have used a green and white floral paper, and a grey metal paper to frame my layout. New Zealand is also known as Aotearoa which translates to 'long white cloud', which made the Paige Evans Cloud Background file cut an obvious choice for my background. I have added a touch of blue to the sky by using a waterbrush and ink pad. While is was building my base I cut a square piece from the center of the green and white floral paper, I have then used this and the green woodgrain paper to cut leaves from. These have been arranged and staggered around my photo's to give a bush feel. Finally I have added a few embellishments including the gumboots and a roof top, blue house veneer and follow your heart arrow flag. I really enjoyed creating this layout and incorporating so many pieces that represent my world around me.
New Zealand guest designer Melissa Vining is back today to share another drop dead gorgeous cut file layout she created using the Just a Little Lovely collection from Pinkfresh Studios. She wanted to document her daughter's 100th day of school in her sweet princess outfit. Melissa is sharing the story below! Hi it's Melissa and I'm so happy to be back with you again to share another layout I made with the gorgeous Just a Little Lovely Kit. For this layout I really wanted to focus on all the different flowers in the kit, and I imagined them growing down a wall. I knew that Confessions of a Paper Addict had the perfect cut file to achieve what I wanted. The flowers I used included puffy stickers, ephemera, acetate, fabric flowers, and fussy cut flowers and leaves from one of the patterned papers. I painted the cut file grey with my water colours, and backed it on one of the patterned papers. My photo is of our third child Brielle, and it was to celebrate the 100th day of school in New Zealand for 2019. She had her princess dress on which matched the colour tones in the kit perfectly. Once I decided where to position my photo I just started embellishing and layering the different types of flowers on the wall. Thanks so much for looking. Thanks for sharing Melissa! These kits are almost sold out but if there are any left you can grab one here!
