It's so good to be back here on the Clique Kits blog. I hope everyone is doing great and that, even though it is a very strange year, you are planning wonderful Christmas with your beloved ones.
For today's post I wanted to bring something special and that is why I made one a Coptic Book using Muerdago from Mintopia Studio. You can find all the products of this collection on the Clique Kits shop here.
I used mostly all the products in the kits that you can find in the shop, because I wanted to make a coptic book quite big and with lots of pages to use it as a December Daily or a big album for documenting my Christmas holidays.
As you can see in the pictures, I have used all the papers of the collection, but the ones that are only one sided, I like in coptic books sometimes to give some space and clearness in the pages. As the patterns of the papers of this collection are quite lively and bright, some white could help to add just a picture and a sticker and make some pages in a clean and simple style.
In the spine of the book I have used mostly die cuts (but small ones), puffy stickers, the felter stars of the Muerdago collection and some decorations that I had at home such as some beads and felter balls. Even I used some tiny bottles with the sequins of the collection. I like to have them full of decorations, as I think it is a very important element in this kind of projects, because it is what calls the attention more, a thick spine full of great add-ons.
Finally, for the cover I have combined the laces from the collection, some stickers and the puffy ones too. I used the die cut of the girl which I think it is one of the cutest things I've ever seen (as well as the dog with the Christmas wreath, adorable!!) and then I cut the door house from one of the papers of the collection. I painted the wood pieces (that I always cut myself because I like it more, I suppose this is a scrapbooker mania) for the cover with acrylic paint in soft blue and then with a spray paint I made the white drops. I hope you like it as much as I do!
I hope you all enjoy the Christmas holidays with your beloved ones and stay safe and healthy. See you next year with tons of new inspirations!! Take care!
Hey there folks! It's Isa on the blog today and I am thrilled to be here to show you one of my favourite projects to make; a coptic book with the Abril collection by Lora Bailora. You can find all the products of this wonderful collection here. It is one of the most beautiful Spanish collections that I have worked with.
The size of this coptic book is 4x3. I like creating them in this small size because the results are cuter and you have space for tons of pictures in a very small album. For the cover I cut two pieces of wood and then I made the holes for stitching. I painted them in two colors, trying to imitate one of the papers from the collection. The color of the thread I used is also chosen to combine with the chromatic selection of the collection.
Although we cannot appreciate them very well in the pictures, on the inside of the coptic book, I have used all papers from the collection. They are one sided but all of them are from the Abril collection. For the cover I have used also decorations from the collection and some die cuts and I used also the dies for the Big Shot to add more flowers. I love them so much!!
Now it comes my favourite part. The spine. I love adding all kinds of decorations when I am stitching these books. I have added buttons, beads, die cuts and even puffy stickers!! I think that they are the heart and soul of this kind of projects. And I could not love more the result! I hope you like it too!!
That's all for today! I hope to be back very very soon with new projects! And I hope that you enjoy creating with this wonderful collection!! Take care and see you soon! Love,
Hello everyone!! First of all, I really hope that everyone is doing fine in this crazy world and that you are staying home safe and healthy. It's Isa today on the blog and I am so so so so happy and proud to present you a new project! I am thrilled also because I present this new project with one of the last Spanish scrapbooking collections that are on sale, Imagine by Mintopia Studio, designed by my beloved Wilma Rodriguez. The project that I have first made with it is a copta book. I love making them because they relax me a lot!
It's a kind of project that I have been doing for some time now and I always try to make one copta book with all the collections I work with. It has become like some kind of ritual in my scrapbooking creative processes.
As you can see in the pictures, I don't miss a thing when it comes to sew the spine! It is what I like the most about creating these books. Adding all kind of embellishments and beads, buttons... anything that can fit and combine! On the inside of the book I have used mostly all the patterned papers of the collection.
For the covers what I do most of the times is to cut two pieces of wood (thin one) and then I paint it with acrylic paints. I always try to use a color that combines with the colors used on the collection I'm working with. For the cover I tend to use also die cuts and thickers from the collection. What I have used on the cover of this copta book are the alphabet from the Imagine collection, die cuts and the ribbon, which I think it's one of the best complements of this collection. You can Pre-Order the products of this collection and more items from the Mintopia brand here.
Another interesting cool thing that I have used for this project are the new dies from this collection that are created for you to make shakers!! I just fell completely in love with them the moment I saw them. I have filled this little complement with the sequins from the same collection and the result is very cool!
I hope you have enjoyed this project and that you try to practice this addictive copta books and work with the wonderful Imagine collection! See you soon! Lots of love!
It’s Isa today here and I am very happy to show you a new project I made with the Unforgettable Kit.
Today’s project is a coptic book. Since I got the binding tool of We’R Memory Keepers I haven’t been able to stop doing this kind of projects. I just love creating the books and I find it very relaxing to do the stitching and adding so many complements!
The book I am presenting today is very small. It’s 3x4 inches and I love creating them in this size. The covers are two pieces of wood I cut myself at home and the inside pages are papers from the collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio that are included in the Unforgettable Kit of Clique Kits. I painted the covers in white so it combines perfectly well with the rest of the papers. The mint thread is also perfect for the colors of all the complements in the collection.
What I like the most is to add charms to the books, I add them at the time I stitch the divisions into the book.
As a title of the book, I have used some thickers included in the Unforgettable Kit. I think that coptic books are a great way of storing a great amount of pictures and also an amazing way of creating very original and beautiful notebooks.
I hope you liked this one and I hope to be back soon with new projects and ideas.
