Hi friends! Dana here today sharing a travel themed scrapbook layout. I took this photo in January 2020 on my way to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. If I would have known how the world was going to change, I would have definitely partied harder! I'm still living with frigid temperatures, so I'm looking back on these memories fondly. The Cocoloko Sugar Scrub Add-On Kit is filled with vibrant prints that are perfect for celebrating special occasions. I took inspiration from the rays of color on the background paper to create an ombre photo spot for this layout. The wood veneer embellishment is so fun! I used it to anchor the embellishments on this layout. I placed die-cuts, stickers, and a fabric tag around it. The Bella Pops Cloud Stickers were the perfect embellishment. I love the added dimension these whimsical stickers add to the page. (This sticker set is included in the Bella Blvd You Are My Sunshine Sampler Kit.) The Bella Blvd Alphabet Sticker Sheet also included small heart stickers. They were a fun and easy way to add a print to solid colored paper. (This sticker set is included in the Bella Blvd You Are My Sunshine Sampler Kit.)

Hi Clique friends! Today I would like to show you this layout I made with a retired Cocoloko kit, but… there still gorgeous Cocoloko kits available! Still I’m showing you this layout and hope you get inspired. I started with fuzzy cutting the design papers, which look as if it was painted or inked. I used one of the stencils from the Fairytale add on kit and my Distress Oxides to make the little circular shapes. I also made some rolled flowers. I used a die, but you can easily make them yourself. Cut a strip of paper in a spiral shape and cut a wave-shape on one side. Simply roll and tuck the end underneath and glue together. I hope I was able to inspire you today! Hope to see you again soon! xoxo Petra Happy New Year friends! Dana here today sharing a quick decor project that I'm hoping will help keep me on track. I have to admit that I lost track of what day it was sometime back in early December. Now that I'm back to my regular routine, I need to know what that date is on the regular. I picked up a plain black and white flip calendar and personalized it with paint and a fun mix of ephemera and embellishments from past kits. I colored over the black numbers with a gold paint pen. I swapped out the monthly flip cards with some that I cut by hand from the Cocoloko Minimal Life in a Pocket Pad. I'm just loving the muted tones and mod prints on these patterned papers. The Jen Hadfield Peaceful Heart Ephemera and Kimidori Colors Mauve Alpha Stickers were the perfect size to embellish the monthly cards. I used Freckled Fawn and Pinkfresh enamel dots to add small pops of color and dimension to the otherwise flat cards. I like to ease into the new year with baby steps and an open mind. I wait to set goals until the second quarter. However you choose to start the year, I hope it is filled with happiness and creativity!
Clique International Supplies: Cocoloko Minimal Life in a Pocket Paper Pad Jen Hadfield Peaceful Heart Ephemera Kimidori Colors Mauve Alpha Stickers Freckled Fawn Enamel Stickers Pinkfresh Holiday Magic Enamel Dots Other Supplies: Flip Calendar; Acrylic Paint; Gold Paint Pen Hello everyone! It's Isa today on the blog and I am very happy to be back here on The Clique blog with a new project. Today's topic of the project is Let's Go and I have prepared a layout using the Serendipia collection by Cocoloko scrap that you can find in the Serendipia kit on the link here. I wanted to make a layout with these pictures because they belong to a holiday I took with my sister, my aunt and my uncle to a small village in the region of Castellon, Valencia, Spain. It was back in 2013 and it was a great summer. I remember specially this trip because we were in a tiny village with only three named streets (YES THREE) and in the morning when I woke up and I opened my windows all I could see were the mountains and pure nature. They were the mountains that I am in in those pictures. I really liked the peace and the beautiful landscapes that we enjoyed there. So it was worth making a beautiful layout with these beautiful pictures that my aunt took of me. To create the background of this layout, I used some pastel color gelatos from Faber Castell. I extended the pigmet with the help of a baby wipe (yes, believe it or not, they are VERY useful in scrapbooking techniques LOL). I cut with different dies in the shape of a circle the papers that I had left from the 12x12 stack of papers from Serendipia and I combined them with some flowers from the die cut set. As a title of the layout I used the word Slow from the die cuts set also from Serendipia from Cocoloko. The word really suits the layout because I can promise all of you that those days were really slow life for me in the good sense. That peace and that environment is something that somebody needs at some point in life just to stop, breathe and think. I really recommend it, especially after the hard times that we are living worldwide. I add some tags on a corner of the layout with a little of journaling. It is something that I don't like adding on my projects, but I am really starting to realize that it is really necessary on layouts to remember good times. I add just some few words to remember where these pics come from. I hope you liked the layout and that you keep beautiful layouts of really beautiful memories. See you soon! Take care. Love. Isa
Hello everyone!! It's Isa today on the blog and I am thrilled to be back in the Clique Team. I cannot wait to show you more of the things I am working on. But from now on, today I come with a very cool snail mail I created with a collection of one of my favorite Spanish brands of Scrapbooking. You can find the Serendipia Kit on the web and on sale here. When I create a snail mail, the first thing that I think of is the structure or the type of snail mail I am going to make. This time I have used some 4x4 project life pockets to combine with some handmade envelopes and some pages I made as if this snail mail was like a mini album. So it is like a mixture of a pocket letter but with different elements combined. I have to confess also that when I prepare a snail mail for someone I like to add tons of things to give to the person that is going to receive it. Let's go through what I have included in this one. I have made mini envelopes with my Big Shot to include some die cuts from the collection on the snail mail. As you can also see, I have included tabs and Project Life cards. I have used vellum paper to create a shaker decoration and an envelope that has on the inside more mini envelopes and more project life cards. I have also used die cuts to decorate and the washi tapes from the collection. On the inside of one of the pockets which is 4x6 I have put more die cuts. On the inside of the snail mail, I included also decorative pages I made using scraps of paper from the collection and die cuts. I have used 4x4 pockets and 4x6 pockets. And I couldn't forget about the letter for the receiver of this snail mail and I created an envelope with a template that I had at home and with the rest of papers that I had I made some handmade tags that are included in this snail mail. I hope you like this snail mail I created full of flowers and peaceful images. I like creating snail mail to send to my scrapbook friends from time to time. It's a great way to exchange beautiful creations!! I hope to see you soon on the blog with a new inspiration!
Lots of Love, Isa Hello friends, Emma here again sharing my passport designer layout 'Escape'. I don't know about you but I always find large print patterned papers a bit tricky to use, so I was determined to find a way to make it work for my layout. I'm super pleased with the results & I hope you like it too. I began my layout by adding hand-stitched details to the big blue floral patterned paper from the Cocoloko Souvenir collection in 3 strands of DMC pink thread. I then selected sections of the paper to cut out so that I could create shaker windows, backing them with clear acetate. Next I used foam tape around the cut out sections to create the depth needed for the sequins to move around. Using a pink patterned paper from the same collection as my background I carefully position my sequins in place by peering through the windows before adhering the 2 pages together. I then mounted my photo on many layers of patterned paper from the same collection & created a couple of tags to add to the layers. Using red-line tape I adhered my acrylic 'Escape' title to the bottom of my photo. To finish I added lots of the cute sentiments from the Souvenir collection & Elle's Studio Tiny Everyday Label stickers, some enamel dots & a sprinkling of Nuvo Vintage Drops. Hope this layout inspires you to use those patterned papers you might find a bit tricky & don't forget to share it with us at Clique Kits. Products used in this layout:
Hello to everyone at Clique Kits, a super excited Emma here sharing my first layout 'My Little Fishy' as Guest Designer for the month of January From an early age my daughter Bea has loved the water so as soon as I saw the fish in the Cokoloko Souvenir collection I knew what I wanted to do. Furthermore, the blues of the collection matched perfectly the blue within the pool photo's. To begin I coated my white cardstock with gesso, then using the packaging technique, Altenew ink cubes & water I created my mixed media background. Next I tore 2 strips of patterned paper & adhered it to my background, machine stitched in blue thread along the straight edge therefore creating an anchor for the rest of my layout. Then I mounted my 3 photo's using tissue paper, patterned paper & tags from the kit, & staggered their placement along my torn strips, adhering them using foam tape. I also added my title on top of my photos using the American Crafts Heidi Thickers. Now for the fun bit (well for some of us), fussy cutting! Using all my fussy cut foliage & fishes plus nests of cotton in the same colour of the machine stitched lines I created areas of embellishment throughout my layout. To finish I added my journaling & lots of sequins to add some sparkle to my layout, I like that they kind of look like bubbles, very pretty, shiny bubbles. Can't tell you how much I enjoyed creating this layout & I hope it will inspire you to get crafting! Products used in this layout in the Clique Kits shop.
Isa is an amazing scrapbooking layout designer as well as coptic book creator and mixed media artist. She lives near the famous city of Barcelona in Spain. We interviewed Isa so that we could learn more about our favorite hobby in her country. Read on... CK: How did you first learn about paper crafting hobbies and how did you get started? Isa: Well, I have to confess that since I was a child I have seen my mum and my dad with crafts in general. My mum used to be a teacher and she was paper crafting 24/7 and my father is quite handy so they are the best example for me to follow and I always did things with them. With scrapbook, it was about 10 years ago when my mum decided to take me to a paper crafts festival here in Barcelona. I went with her and a colleague from her school and she already knew what scrapbook was. My mum, following her advice, started buying me all kinds of complements, papers, washi tapes that she could find to get me started. The rest is history. I started searching online, going to workshops and just let my imagination fly and my time. I have to say that scrapbook is my particular yoga and my way of relaxing. It is the best hobby and therapy I could have found. CK: Are you on any design teams? Isa: Yes! Right now I am part of the DT of MissMamamint and Studio Forty. I am really really proud of being part of these wonderful teams. I hope to be a Clique Kits designer for a very long time creating beautiful things! Before I used to work with Cocoloko Scrap also which was a great experience. CK: What are some traditional arts and crafts where you are from or unique to your culture? Do any of these influence your style? Isa: Well, I am not very much into art and traditional stuff from my culture. I am more of an States culture fan LOL! But I have to confess that there are some people from Spain that do scrapbook that have influenced my style since I started. There is a scrapbooker called Mireia Carbonell and she has been my inspiration when it comes to create mix media projects. Everything that I know relating to this issue is thanks to her and I think that my style is quite defined from what I learnt from her. CK: Exciting things to see and do in your city.... Isa: Barcelona is full of great places, if I had to choose only one thing and my favourite one to do is to go for a walk in La Boqueria, which is a traditional market. Its colors, smells, food and all the mix of cultures that you can find there really inspire you. CK: What are some of your favorite manufacturers or businesses for papercrafters in Spain? Isa: My favorites here in Spain are MissMamamint, because their collections are perfect for all the occasions in one’s life. If I have to choose more I’d go with Lora Bailora, Mintopia, Sweet Moma or Cocoloko Scrap. I am really really proud of seeing that the Spanish scrapbook industry is growing successfully and more and more we have more manufacturers here. I also believe that all manufacturers even the smallest ones deserve the opportunity to have market in this wonderful world of scrapbooking. CK: Tell us about your style and your favorite projects to make: Isa: I’d say that my style is a bit a mixture. I like to create projects full of colors, full of paint and watercolors and sometimes I just go for the most clean and simple things. So I like to try a little bit of everything, always with bright and happy colors. My favorite projects to make are layouts. I think they are the best representation of the essence of scrapbooking. Lately I am also into Coptic binding books. They are really addictive! Favorites right now... Food or drink: I love a good Chai Tea Latte and everything my mum is cooking :P Music/musician or group: I am Backstreet Boys fan. The biggest one you can find hahahhaha TV show: My favorite shows are One Tree Hill and Arrow Sport/team: I love the NBA! I watch all the matches I can with my boyfriend and we are starting with the NFL. Fashion Must haves: My converse shoes are a must always and dresses!! Cannot live without them and they are the perfect combination for my casual outfits for working! CK: What are your must have in arms reach supplies or tools? Isa: My watercolors, my acrylic paints, my book binding and crop a dile! CK: Top three on your bucket list.. Isa: 1. Swim with sharks 2. Write a book 3. Going to Disneyland dressed as a princess CK: Where can we find you online? Isa: I used to be active in all kinds of social networks but due to the fact that some social networks look like they are losing popularity or audience, right now I am only active on my Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/_isa_ng_/ and my Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCu2jOhpt_B_LRupAh0ybIg We agree with Isa that Spanish brands contribute amazing products for papercrafters and we share her love for all of the brands she mentioned. Links are provided for shoppers in the U.S as Clique Kits offers a convenient way to try out these amazing brands! Do not let the bilingual language stop you- there are many words and phrases in English and of course the patterns and visual elements speak our universal language...art!
I hope you enjoyed learning more about Isa and that you will leave her some love! -xGia |
