Hello, lovelies! I have fun and simple project to share with you today using the September "Farmhouse" Main kit. There are still a couple left of this kit, so grab it before it's gone! I wanted to use the cut apart papers with some journal cards and a mini-album is the perfect way to maximize it. I based the size on the foiled Kraft tag included in the kit. The mini-album is approximately 4 x 4 inches. I used a small silver ring binder/flip folded steel ring. These are the pages inside the mini-album. The fussy cut tiny flowers from various papers in the kit are perfect for this mini-album. I've cut a lot and embellished the pages using thin foam tapes to give the pages a bit of dimension. The spaces are enough to place small photos maybe around 2.5 x 2.5 inches photos. I hope you liked my project and inspired you to create something today.
Thank you for dropping by and happy crafing!

Hello, lovelies! Donna here with a new scrapbook layout using the September "Farmhouse" Main kit. This kit is just beautiful, I so love it. There's still a couple of kits left so hurry and go to the store to grab it! Here is the layout I made for today. It's really simple but I love how it turned out I cut the "thankful" cut file several times and adhered it together so i has depth even without foam tape. I used one of the papers in the kit to mat the stenciled/color splattered white cardstock. I also cut a couple of strips of paper to create vertical edge borders. Embellished the layout with a mixture of fussy cut and ephemera die cuts. I love the combination of colors in this kit, super pretty I hope my project inspired you to create something today!

Thank you and enjoy hopping along with us! Hello Lovelies, Theresa here today sharing a layout I created following the September sketch! I love a great sketch for how easy it helps pull a layout together, and this month's sketch works beautifully with the September Farmhouse kit. This is the layout I will be sharing with you today! I was loving the pinks and greens this month, and I have used the black and white as lovely neutrals as well. One of my favorite things about using sketches is that you can re-imagine any of the elements in any way you wish. In this layout, for example, I made one of the background patterned papers my mixed media element instead of paper. I took my Prima Art Alchemy paints plus a really wide, dry paint brush, and painted simple strokes onto my background. Then, once my background was fully dry, I began adding the other papers and elements to complete the layout. I chose patterned papers that contrast against each other, so the black polka dot contrasts against the pink and white background, and another tiny bit of pink and white on top of that. I have used some bits of ribbon from my stash as a little embellishment on the side, and it gave me an opportunity to include one of the little gold pin included in the kit! I probably have my photos a bit larger than the sketch shows, so my title is going above the left photo. I have used one of the kraft tags, and also layered a few more word strips on top of that to incorporate a bit more color to the tag. My photos for this layout are from my daughter's 11th birthday so I definitely wanted a feminine feel to this layout. The floral die cuts in this kit are perfect, so I have layered them over and under this photo. They repeat the pinks in the layout and also lead your eye down and around the page. Here is one more look at this fun, happy page. Have you been working with this month's sketch and kit? We would love to see, so be sure to share and tag us. Use #cliquekits. Thank you for joining me today! Hello Lovelies, it's Theresa here to share more ideas for our Product Focus. This week we are creating layered embellishments which are just awesome for using supplies and getting layouts completed. I am going to create four assymetrical embellishments using elements from the September Farmhouse kit, plus one layout. To begin with, I chose a photo of our son Addison that I had taken recently for back to school. Addison is our oldest, going into tenth grade this year, and the wood grain, green, and yellow in this kit suit his photo well. I laid down a layer of gesso and some paint splatters onto my page, just to break up the wood grain and lighten my layout a bit. My photo is vertical, so I knew I wanted an assymetrical layout with photo on one side. I grabbed a few extra things from around my desk and started laying some elements around the page, and realized I could do several assymetrical layered embellishments inspired by this one layout. We will come back to the layout, but let's create these embellishments first! These are the items I used to create these strips:
These are the four embellishment strips laid out for you to see. I created each one to be oriented in a different direction and the idea is for the strips to border on the edge of a photo or on the edge of your patterned paper. I love this idea because once they are all done I can create four different layouts! Each strip began with the patterned paper or marketing strip from the papers in the kit. They are the home base for the embellishment cluster and everything else grew from there. For the cluster above, I added the punched starbursts underneath the strips, a leaf and banner die cut, and word art. The word art is adhered using pop dots to add dimension. I also wrapped a bit of twine around my fingers and adhered that underneath all the layers as well. For the next cluster, I again began with the patterned papers and a doily. This one is a vertical orientation, so I added a die cut arrow, a leaf, and some word art. Using the doily on this one gives a great home base for the horizontal word art so it doesn't look out of place. Instead of using chipboard I used one of the flair buttons included in the kit! Again the twine adds more texture to the piece. My third embellishment starts with patterned papers and a doily, and this time I have added a banner, the ribbon, and a chipboard piece. This one has a horizontal orientation and the photo could go above on the layout, or the cluster could go at the top of the page. For my layout, I chose to use a vertical cluster. This one uses two strips of patterned paper and three shaped labels punched from the yellow patterned paper. I also added a leaf, heart, and banner from the die cuts, plus a chipboard embellishment. Notice the banner overlaps the photo a bit, and the arrow on the heart points inward toward the photo. Again twine peaking out from underneath it all adds more dimension and ties all these elements in with the background. Of course my layout also need a title and journaling, which was so easy to add. I used the Pinkfresh Studio alphabet in the kit and repeated the vertical direction on this layout. Everything on this layout leads your eye upwards! Here is another look at the full layout. The best part about having this layout done is knowing that I can easily create three more layouts using these embellishment clusters! How about you? Have you been creating with your Farmhouse kit this month? We would love to see, so be sure to share with us on social media and use #cliquekits. Hello Lovelies, I am Theresa Moxley with you today sharing a pocket page layout using the September Farmhouse kit. Our focus for this week is Story, and pocket pages are my favorite way to tell our family stories on a weekly basis. Here is my layout. I am currently working through our 2013 album and this kit was perfect for a layout from March of that year. We had a few photos of spring beginning to show in the yard, our beloved cat (who is sadly no longer with us), and sports activities from that time. This layout quickly became a two page spread and I loved filling these fun pockets! Whenever I am working on a pocket page layout, I always begin with the date card. This is a great place to start if you ever have blank page syndrome - I always know what needs to go on that card. I have used one of the patterned papers as the background for this card and then layered the black alpha for the week number. Since my background was yellow, I chose black and white and pink elements to contrast with the background. One of our important stories from this time in our lives was our cat named Sissy. She died not long after these photos were taken, so I am really glad to have taken her photo. She spent a lot of her last days parked under the lamps for warmth. She shared this spot with the laundry many days, but she never helped, the stinker. Creating layouts from the past can sometimes be challenging to fill in the stories, and I must admit I am unsure why we took photos of our wedding bands, so I allowed the embellishment to tell the story here. I have repeated circle elements in several places, including on the photo and also on the lemon journal card. Always remember that word art and word embellishments can help you tell your stories even if you are unsure of what you want to say. Include those photos anyway, you will be so glad you did! One of the things I loved most about the photos for this week is how subtle the colors are. They are almost black and white, and the black and white in the Farmhouse kit is perfect for these photos. For the right side I continued using circles in the form of polka dots, and hearts. Always lots of hearts! At this particular time my husband Alan was interviewing for jobs and this pensive photo was taken while we did some head shots of him. Even if specific details cannot be shared, we can still include the story and the photo and especially take the opportunity to express pride in our loved ones. Our families will read these words long after we are gone, and we want them to feel loved. All of these stories and words are love letters. Writing stories and including journaling in our pocket pages does not have to be overly complicated, and for this photo of Nick at indoor soccer it really is one quick sentence (he is the kid with the number 2 on his back). Nick is the kind of kid who loves strategy and loves things that make him think, and in this photo you can tell he is deeply pondering how the team should proceed in the game! I took one of the frames in the ephemera pack and flipped the inside so I had room for the journaling. Also notice how I took the word stickers and punched it using a heart punch as an embellishment. One thing I have been loving recently is including a recap of the week, as I have done on this journal card below. Since this is a layout from the past, I wrote about how those photos make me feel today, at this moment in time. I know sometimes it can feel overwhelming to try to include journaling on past layouts, and this is one way to approach that - simply write about how those photos make you feel today. I hope this layout has given you some ideas to help you tell more stories in your layouts! Have you been using your Farmhouse kit this month? If so, please share and tag us! We would love to see! Hi Clique Kits friends! Gia here with another kickoff post ushering in the fall and winter season which of course is always an exciting time of year! September is bittersweet bringing back to school and the end of carefree summer days but a time of renewal and fresh starts. Teachers, students, moms, and many others have lives that revolve around the academic calendar. Here at Clique Kits we will be concluding the Spring and Summer design team term and have just closed our call for new cut file designers and ambassadors for the Fall/ Winter term! Stay tuned for announcements soon. As always we have been overwhelmed with the response from so many talented crafters and it is going to be excruciating as always to have to make final selections. First up I am sharing a mood board created in anticipation of the gorgeous September Farmhouse kits. I hope you are excited to receive your September kit soon as they begin shipping on Monday! Modern farmhouse style is one of this years most popular aesthetics in the home decor world and it was a pleasure to curate this kit with a rich color palette of greens and botanical illustrations, black and white textile patterns like stripes, buffalo checks, polka dots, and toiles, and those pops of sunny, lemon yellow! The Kaisercraft Fleur collection, Webster's Pages The Good Life, and Fancy Pants Designs Magnolia Moments are all featured in the September kits and coordinate so well together we think Joanna Gaines would be proud (lol). Do you have a favorite kit component that you look forward to every month? It's hard to choose just one but I have to say I absolutely love ephemera. I really love using pretty die cut pieces in layering, embellishing, and creating texture and depth on my layouts. I used a lot of the main kit florals in this layout and I love how the blush pinks contrast against the black and white. Make sure you are following this blog for more inspiration all month long from the design team and ambassadors.
