Hi friends, it's Theresa here! I've been thinking about the New Year lately, and with that comes the usual resolutions, setting goals, that kind of thing. I'm not a resolutions kind of person, but I do like to create art as mediation, and today I've created an art collage piece to think about the kind of energy I want to bring into this New Year! Come create with me, using the Alchemy Kit, you can follow along with my process below. Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you've been inspired to think about your creative life going into the New Year. Sadly the Alchemy kit is sold out, but there is a new kit available on pre-order that would give a similar look and feel: Ice and Fire Kit Pre-order The stamp set is available here: Empowered Women Stamp Set

You can purchase the Sunchaser kit here: Heidi Swapp Sunchaser Sampler Thanks so much for joining me today, see you again soon! Hey crafty friends! Rita here today with a new project. I made a Art/Junk Journal using all my leftover papers and die cuts, some paint, alcohol ink and stamps. It's the perfect project to use your stash so you can make room for all the new collections coming to the Clique International shop hehe Mostly I used the beautiful papers from the gorgeous „Freiburg“ Kit. You should really check it out. The papers are so unique, in very high quality and designed in Germany! I used the WRMK Book Binding Guide to bind the papers together to Travelers Notebook size (4,5 x 8,5''). I also tried out a new tool I recently purchased: the WRMK Foil Quill Freestyle Pen (normal size). I used it to add some quotes and scribbles. But let's take a look at some of the pages. Here you can see how I added some acrylic paint and die cuts from various Clique International kits. I included smaller sized vellum paper which was left after I'd cut the whole sheet for the cover of my journal. I added a quote with the Foil Quill Freestyle pen and there's still place for more journaling or photos. Here I used watercolors (also shimmering gold ones) to create a foundation page for more embellishments, words or photos. For this page I punched circles out of a mixed media paper I created beforehand. I glued the circles together on the right page and there's a stripe of punched paper on the left. The birds are fussycut out from a Alexandra Renke Paper. ![]() For this spread I glued in a paper on which I used Alcohol Ink. It was my first time and I experimented a little, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out. On this page I used gold rub-ons which where included in the "Habitat" Kit and a lot of diecuts. On the right page I tried to use a similar greenish watercolor to match the left page. I made a flip through video so you can see all the pages. I hope you feel inspired to use your stash, so you have room for new awesome goodies! :-) Hop over to the Clique Kits shop to check out all the new beautiful kits and products. Thanks so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!
Aloha!! It's Hannah with you today!! How is week going? Are you like me, I start my year strong, focused and taking a ton of photos. Determined to fully document our day to day lives. Then routine sets in, and I kinda get tired of seeing the same types of photos. How do you switch it up, so you don't stop telling your stories? This year I have decided to use some of my Traveler's Notebooks as a way of documenting those stories from our normal day to day lives. the things we think we will remember because we literally do them everyday. But what about those little changes that over time? Those moments that after a few years your routine really has changed. I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Just 2 to 3 years ago we lived in Hawaii, my kids were really little, in their early school years. we had a routine, and things seemed so easy. This year as I pour my and more time planning our homeschool lessons and grading, I am realizing just how much my life really has changed. Not just in scenery because we moved to a whole new state. Not just because we no longer spend hours and hours in doctor appts throughout the month. The amount of words my girls can read per minute, the number of worksheets my kids finish each day, and the fact that they can actually help with the chores around the house. By using my TN to write a little blurp each day about the comings and goings is a big help with helping me remember these little moments. I plan to use a lot of these journals for PL, but I often like to add pictures when I am document certain moments. I use my words from IG, I add things my kids say that is goofy, I am the weather, I even like to mention things that are happening around me. The TN are perfect for spilling my thoughts of a normal day. Here is a spread I made that is what I like to do when I am documenting things about my day. I used the Girl Tribe Traveler's Notebook Kit. In Photoshop I added one of the PNG files from the printables for the Main Kit. This unicorn was so cute, I thought it would add a fun element to my spread. Plus I was thinking about the fact that unicorns embody this being able to overcome whatever and believing in something impossible, just because you need to be in something. This was the feel I wanted for my spread. Overcoming the day to day grind!! I changed the color with the paint bucket tool. I sized my page size 4 x 8.25 so when I dropped my png in I could size it to the page size easily. This really helps with printing and cutting to add to my Traveler's Notebook. I then dropped my photo into this page in Photoshop and sized it to my liking. I wanted some space at the top for journalling. I wanted to write my journaling, but you could definitely add journaling with the text feature in Photoshop. This would be especially helpful if you had a lot to say and wanted it to know that it would fit in the space. I like my hand writing in my journals, so I just printed my page on cover stock. It's a bit different than photo paper and yardstick. It is a bit thinner, which I like in my Traveler Notebook. I added a few stickers to embellish, I even added embroidery floss in the top of the tag. I am loving the sticker sheet we had in the kit. There is so many stickers with tons of different uses. For the opposite side, I knew I didn't want to add anymore journaling. I used the speciality vellum from the Girl Tribe Main Kit. It has all these symboling, it kind of reminded of all the things that you have planned to do during a day, like a to do list. Having vellum fill a page it would create the illusion of a lots of embellishing on the page without really having to add all the layers. I stapled the vellum to the top. This way if I did want to change my mind later about journaling I could still add some without losing the page. Adding a die cut word, gave me a really easy title. I just had to add this coffee cup to a cluster at the bottom of the vellum. I added stars around my cluster to highlight it. I am using this blue Shimelle paper clip to mark my page, because I intend to journal straight up on the next page. Maybe add a small cluster of stickers, to make the page more appealing. I really love the idea of having tons of journaling about our days. Seeing this writing later makes my heart smile. Here is the final look of my spread. Thanks for joining me today. I hope I have given you some fresh ideas and ways to use your Traveler's Notebooks. Keep an eye out on the Clique Kits Youtube Channel for the process video for this later this week.
Also, Don't forget that the Clique Kits Store will not be shipping any orders until November. You can still make purchases, you will just receive them later in November after the November Kits get shipped out. Use my code Hannah10 for all your add on's though. I can't wait to chat with you later next week!! Aloha!!! Its Hannah with you today!! I am using the October Girl Tribe Traveler's Notebook Kit today. I am loving all the bright and bold colors this kit has to offer. This is by far my favorite Traveler's Notebook kit to date. There are some really fun pieces like the roll stamps and the Glitter Girl clips that really just brings it over the top. I am working in this month's Traveler's Notebook that came in the Traveler's Notebook Kit. I remember the cover paper from when I guest designed last March. It's so much fun!! This month I am going to be trying something new, I am going to build my pages outside my notebook on white card stock and then add them when I am finished with the spread. I am hoping to do some special things on my pages that building them separate or outside my TN will give me a bit more freedom, like hand stitching. Let's take a look at what I did for this spread!! I started out by taking a look at the 6x6 pad and choosing a few of my favorite papers. As soon as I seen the circle paper I knew I needed to punch out those circles and use it for my background. This is a great way to get more out of the smaller paper too. By punching the circles and adding them by hand to the white page you can decide how much white space you want and make a 6x6 paper useable for both sides of the TN. After I added the punched circles across the page I remade holes around all the circles to hand stitch. This process is always a labor of love. It takes time to make holes and go back and stitch. This time I did a basic back stitch, even though it takes a bit more time, it really looks cool . The time is well worth it. Also this type of work can be easily done while catching up on Youtube videos too. Win-Win in my book!! Here is a close up of some of my stitched circles. For my title I used the patterned paper with the alphabet on it in blocks. I really love this combo of circles with blocks and angles. The different sizes of blocks are really fun as the title too. To help the title stand out I added foam dimensional adhesive. By popping up a couple of the letters they don't all lay flat and get lost on the background. On some of the squares I also made faux stitching with a white jelly roll pen. This will help coordinate with all the hand stitching I did. I also had to turn a V into an A by using a paint pen in Aqua because there is only one letter of each. If you want to use these for a title you may want to keep that in mind. Changing the letter was easy but some letters are so much easier to adjust than others. By adding the tile stickers from the Shimelle sticker pack, helped keep my title cohesive and matching without much thought. I love when my kit as a variety so I don't have to go searching through tons of alphas to match the page I am making. The alpha tile sheet has tons of letters to make multiple titles. I also added another sticker from the booklet to add to the title. I love when titles are long and pieced together. Can I just say I am in love with the amount of stickers in this kit!! I definitely will not run out of stickers this month. I layered a couple of pieces of patterned paper behind my photo and I decided to use dimensional tape on the photo as well. I wanted to have a bit of a shadow under the photo, and hopefully show off a bit more of the hand stitched circles peeking out from under the photo. There are so many pieces in this kit to use as embellishments. I pulled some of the flower stickers, some of the Pretty Little Studio phrase stickers and one of the Pretty Little Studio Hello Heather die cut words. I added two clusters on either side of the photo, as well as a small cluster on the top page for interest. By keeping the clusters simple it adds a little extra color but still brings your eye to the main focus, the photo and the stitching. I used lots of the bright pink enamel dots all over my spread. I used then in the flowers, I used them near the title and on the dots too. They are so much fun. They are the perfect finishing touch to my spread. I am also using the Shimelle paper clip shapes to mark my page. I love how well it works with the colors on my page too. There is something satisfying about a color cohesive spread.
