Hello friends! Happy Saturday. I manage to find some time to play with the Sunkissed Sampler Kit and the Modern Documenter Sunkissed kit to create this fun layout! And I am going to share with you how I created the background, step-by-step! Super easy and fun to do! To begin, I taped down the ends of the Gathered Flowers stencil from The Crafter's Workshop to the glass mat to prevent the stencil from slipping when I blend the inks through the stencil. Next, I used a blending brush and the Cummerbund Ink to create blue florals. I really like using Catherine Pooler's inks because the colors are so vibrant!! Make sure you use a different brush when switching colors so that the colors do not mix. I used the Lime Rickey ink to create the leaves. You want to use a medium or small brush for this process so that you do not go outside the lines too much. Then, I used the Party Dress ink to create the pink flowers. Of course you can use any colors for your flowers. I basically selected colors that were in the papers and embellishments that I am using from the Sunkissed Sampler Kit. I used the Tiara and Tiki Torch ink to finish the background. Now, it's time to remove the stencil from the cardstock. :) I cut the floral paper to measure 7 1/2"x10" and then I cut the heart patterned paper to measure 8 1/2"x11". I decided I wanted to have a little bit of patterned paper framing the layout. I cropped the photos and matted them with some patterned paper so that the photos would not look to flat. And then I added all of the pretty embellishments. Some of the embellishments were mounted down using foam squares. One of my favorite things to do is add layers of die cuts and stickers onto my layouts. It's my favorite part of the process-playing with embellishments! More layers at the top. I used a black pen to create a thin border around the layout and added a few lines around the photos with some hand scribbles to make it look like stitching. Initially, I was not going to add a title at the top, but it looked like something was missing at the top...so I added a few more embellishments. :) I really enjoyed making this layout. The colors and embellishments are so happy... I just love the whole vibe of this layout! What do you think? Thank you for stopping by today. We still have a few Sunkissed Sampler kits in the shop if you wanna snag one!

Hello Everyone, it's Piroska here today with my latest post for Clique International. I hope you are all doing great. For me, things are going tough, but we'll over it, right? In Hungary kids are in distance learning since March (just like last year), my daughter too. She has some online lessons, but many tasks have to be done after that. Alone, because we work (from home, but can't sit next to her all the time). And she masters it so well! We are sooo proud of her! Of course I had to scrap this memory of her second school year. For my layout I used the Les Jardins Base Kit, which is a great mix of Maggie Holmes' Garden Party and Jen Hadfield Reaching Out collections. I cut the Choose Happy cut file of CUT to YOU, and backed the letters with the Hello You patterned paper of the Reaching Out collection. I wanted to use a white chardstock as a base, so I used some gesso and then started to paint the background. I used my Catherine Pooler ink pads for watercoloring, they are really great for that technique! I used the colours Chiffon, Sauna, Catching Rays and Bellini, this last one can be found in the Unicorn Kit. Then I started to mat my photo, I used some patterned papers from the Reaching Out collection: Reaching Out, Hello You. I cut out a rainbow stripe and also some cards from the Hello you paper, and glued them on the bottom of the cardstock, Then I started to embellish the layout. I added some phrase ephemera cut outs from the Les Jardins Base Kit, and some icon ephemeras from the Budapest Add-on Kit. I really like how these little pieces add to a layout. I also added an epoxy flair from Scrapping Happy studio which was in the Les Jardins Base Kit. Finally I added an alphabeth pin from the Budapest Add-On kit. I hope I could inspire you to use your Catherine Pooler inks as watercoulurs! Now go to the Clique International shop and get some of the new kits and add-ons!
Happy crafting! Hello my crafty friends! Nicole here and today I'm sharing my latest entry in the new Storyline Chapters kit from Clique International and the new gorgeous Catherine Pooler inks! I have dedicated 2021 as the year of "me" and prioritizing myself and today, I'm reflecting on my five best qualities in my latest spread! I'm also taking on the "on repeat" challenge, too! Here's a look at my completed layout: When I started this page, like most projects, I typically start with my product and story first, then fill in the photos as I go. For my "On Repeat" topic today, I loved these beautiful tags and paper clips and I also loved the stamp set that comes in the Storyline kit. I used all of those elements together and repeated them to keep my spread cohesive. Changing up colors while keeping different elements the same adds variety to the simplicity of the layout. If I get in a creative block, I tend to use these tips to get myself back on track. It takes the guesswork out of it! I love the variety that this Heidi Swapp stamp has to offer! The lines on my tags were stamped using the lined stamp from the set, but if turned it upside down and double stamped! Don't be afraid to make your products work for you! Lastly, to keep that cohesiveness, add these repeating elements to your opposite page to pull everything together! Here, I didn't use the rainbow anywhere else on my spread, but the colors and the heart stamps I did! This helps keep the eye moving around the pages. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you've had fun and got inspired! Be sure to join us in our Facebook group where we host monthly challenges and giveaways! New events coming soon and we hope you join in on the fun! See you there! Hi friends! Dana here today sharing the layout I created for the Clique International Stamp-tember Event which is happening in The Clique Facebook Group. There is a different stamping challenge posted each weekend of the month. All challenges are open until September 30th with prize winners for each. We'd absolutely love to have you join us! I used the Limited Edition Ciao Bella Wind Beneath My Wings Kit for this project, plus the Catherine Pooler Explore and Learn Series Flutter Bundle Kit and the Flora + Fauna More Stamp-tember Add-On Kit. All of these kits are currently on sale and only available while supplies last from the Clique Shop. I'm primarily a 12x12 scrapbooker. I have to admit that I don't use stamps and dies as much as I could because they are generally on the small side and are designed more for card making. I was thrilled when I received the Catherine Pooler Wings of Joy Stamp and Die Sets. This butterfly is stamp is over 5 inches across which means that it is a great size for use on 12x12 layouts. I love butterflies and recently snapped a photo of one that flew into my back porch last week. These stamps and dies were the perfect way to complement my photo. I used the stamps and dies together to make a layered butterfly embellishment that I designed after to gorgeous Vicki Boutin stickers in the Wind Beneath My Wings Kit. Dimensional Butterfly Embellishment Tutorial Step 1: Spray a piece of watercolor paper with water. Press the Catherine Pooler Minis onto a craft mat to release some ink onto the work surface. Use a water brush to pick up the ink and spread it onto the wet watercolor paper. Blend and splatter the ink onto the paper until it is covered. Let dry. Step 2: Use the Catherine Pooler Wings of Joy Butterfly Die to cut a butterfly from the watercolor paper. Set aside. Step 3: Apply Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink onto the Wings of Joy Butterfly Stamp and press onto a piece of vellum. Let dry. Step 4: Use the Catherine Pooler Wings of Joy Butterfly Die to cut the stamped butterfly from the vellum. Step 5: Use a permanent gold pen to color the body of the vellum butterfly. Attach the vellum butterfly to the watercolor butterfly base using a piece of 3D Foam. Bonus Butterfly: Use the Flora + Fauna Delicate Butterfly Die to cut a piece of patterned paper and a piece of vellum. Apply adhesive to the patterned paper butterfly body, line up the vellum butterfly die-cut over the top, and press to attach. Fold the vellum wings up towards the center of the butterfly body to separate the wings, creating a 3D embellishment. ![]() I couldn't resist using the rest of the stamps in the kits. I'm a patterned paper addict and I rarely use cardstock, so I used the stamps from the kits on top of my patterned papers to add additional prints to this page. The Catherine Pooler Minis work great with stencils! I sponged Fiesta Blue Ink over a stencil to add more butterflies to the background of this layout. I created my own file folder from patterned paper, cardboard, and washi tape. I used both of the small Flora + Fauna stamp sets to add a pretty bright blue flower print to the paper. I wanted to add a contrasting color to the background of my layout to offset the blue. I would usually use a stencil and texture paste for this effect, but used the dot cluster stamp from the Catherine Pooler Wings of Joy Stamp Set instead with the Catherine Pooler Minis Rockin' Red Ink. I love the look! I feel like I should make a note here and mention that the red ink is more of a dark pink. The Wind Beneath My Wings Kit contains paper flowers but doesn't have any leaves. I used two of the small leaf stamps from the Catherine Pooler Wings of Joy Stamp Set with the Catherine Pooler Minis Grass Skirt Ink to add small leaves around each of the paper flowers on this layout. I used one of the sentiments from the Catherine Pooler Wings of Joy Stamp Set to make a small title for the layout. I also added a small sentiment along the bottom of the page that I made from the Kesi'art Thanks Die Set. I hope I have inspired you to use dies and stamps to create large embellishments. And, if you're a cardstock lover, I hope I have opened your eyes to the possibilities of stamping on patterned paper! I'd love to see your take on this challenge so please upload your project in The Clique Facebook Group by the end of the month for your chance to win a prize!
