Happy Wednesday! Khristina here with a fun traveler's notebook spread with some simple, subtle mixed media and a fun shaker box. The patterned paper from the main kit with all of the frames was just begging me to be made into a fun sequin shaker box and it works perfectly as a title for this fun page. The friends that I have met in this online scrappy community are such an important thing to me that I wanted to makes sure to document some of these amazing relationships in my personal traveler's notebook. I started out using my Jane Davenport watercolors and the packaging technique on the left page of the spread and then just grabbed the box of washi tape from the traveler's notebook kit. Adding layers of vertical strips of different washi tapes is one of my favorite quick and easy techniques that adds a fun impact! Adding the Snapchat photos of my friends on top made that page come together super quick and easy.
Next, I cut the center from the frame and added a piece of transparency to the frame. Then, I added some cheap foam that I picked up at the dollar store and the fun sequins from both kits. The quote then went on the back as the last layer and I had a fun, interactive title element. A few die cuts and a little journaling and the spread was done. Integrating the packaging technique is always a quick and easy way to add a subtle mixed media element with very little time. A bonus in my book!
