Hi friends, Jodie here today with a traveler's notebook spread using the gorgeous and vibrant December Rainbow traveler's notebook kit and the pattern paper add on. For this spread I knew I wanted to have a large title as a feature filling the entire left page. The only two criteria for the main word in the title were that it should be an inspiring word since this layout is about my son graduating university, and it needed to have six letters to fill the page. I settled on the word 'Dreams', cut that out with my Silhouette, and then backstitched around each of the letters with white embroidery floss. For the rest of my title elements I typed 'follow your' in Word on my computer, recoloured the background to a blue that compliments the colours in the spread, printed it out and cut it into a tag shape to tuck under the letter D. Then I pulled the 'on an adventure' tag from the ephemera, and added it over the letter A. To finish off this side I scattered a few ephemera pieces here and there. ![]() Because the papers are fairly busy and bright in this spread I kept things clean and simple. I double matted my photo to help it pop off the diagonal striped pattern of the background. I love the strip of stars from the branding strip of one of the papers, and included it at the bottom of this page. I only needed to add a few ephemera pieces and my journalling to finish this one off! ![]() I love how simple this spread is while still having so much colour. Thanks for stopping by today, and if you stop by the Clique Kits shop you can grab one of the last of these kits before they sell out!

Welcome to day 5 of the Clique Kits and Tombow team up! Today we have Cristina sharing projects! She has two projects to share with you and we know you are going to love them! We love all the color and layers in Cristina's projects! So many little details! Layout fly away choose two colors finding inside the tombow set and spread them on a sheet of acetate, steam with a little water and using a watercolor brush apply the color on the white sheet. Let it dry and add tone-on-tone stamps using the same colors as the background. Finally, create the decoration using the Clique Kits kit products. Hey friends! It's Marsha here with you today, and I'm sharing a traveler's notebook layout I created for my travel album. I used both the December Main kit and December Traveler's Notebook kit to complete my spread. These kits are perfect for any type of travel documenting. I chose to use the exclusive Clique Kits map paper as the background for one of the pages. I love the colors and design of this paper! I used the stamp set from the Traveler's Notebook kit to stamp the Wanderlust sentiment on vellum and stapled it to the page. I used another stamp from the set to stamp a geotag symbol to add to the layout. Next, I used the Fancy Pants On Our Way Ephemera Pack from the Main kit to embellish the page. There are so many fun travel elements included in this pack. For the opposite page, I chose to use two photos from our travel day. I layered the Adventure ephemera piece over the photos to serve as my title. Next, I added more die cut pieces from the On Our Way ephemera pack and a sticker from the Clique Kits exclusive sticker sheet from the Main kit. For the journaling, I used a tag from the Fancy Pants On Our Way Tags & Labels, and tucked it behind the photos. It was perfect for documenting our exciting plane ride from the first portion of our trip. Here's another look at the completed spread. Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will visit the Clique Kits shop to check out the beautiful December Rainbow Kits!
Happy Thursday everyone! Today we are back sharing projects for the Clique Kits & Tombow Team up! Today we have Jasmin and Hannah sharing projects that we just know you are going to love! First up we have CK design team member Jasmin! First, I mixed the colors with water and created my background for the card. Then I wanted to embroider a simple tree. unfortunately I do not have the yarn in the matching colors. So I just colored it. I put the White one it in a water-colored mixture and let it dry. That did not take long, because the Tombows dry incredibly fast. After my stitching i added a stamp and Embellishments to my Card. For the layout I made using the Main and TN December Rainbow Kit. I started off by priming smooth white card stock with clear gesso. With the Dual brush script pens I colored a block of each color across the layout. I used a watercolor paint brush and let the color drip down my layout, to create a dripped mixed media look. After the color dried I added matte acrylic gel medium to give the color a bright finish. This will also allow the color not to lift or smudge off. It really made those colors POP. Once everything was dry I added my photo and embellishments to my layout according to color. I wanted similar colors with similar colors to really make those colors stand out. This kit was perfect for that because of all the color. I even had my title follow the same color combo at the bottom of my layout. The possibilities are endless with the Tombow Brush Markers! They are the perfect match to our December kits as well!
Hello everyone! Ksenia is here and I want to share with you my layout using the colorful December Rainbow kit! The title I made using Tombow dual brush pens and alphabet stickers.Hello and welcome to day 3 of the Clique Kits & Tombow team up! Today we have Donna, Heather and Ksenia sharing projects! First up we have Donna! I based the size of the cards on the exclusive journal cards in the kit. I incorporated the Tombow markers by diluting the markers with a bit of water then spread it on a white cardstock using a piece of plastic sheet. I splattered more colors using a small brush. I mounted the white cardstock with foam tape for a bit of dimension. Then finished off the cards with stickers. These are perfect for the gift-giving season. We love the holiday tags Donna! Just beautiful! Next up we have Ksenia! Hello everyone! I was lucky to play with Tombow products! I always liked lettering and CAS cards style, but I never to do it. Through a project I create with enthusiastically! So, I made 2 birthday cards! The first card is made using die cuts and dual brush pens Tombow Rainbow set. I cut out the clouds on big shot, then I cut out the rainbow. These pieces I painted three colors (#755,#055,#743) and added water for watercolor effect. ![]() Then I made a shaker, added stamping and wrote "to you". The second card is made with a stamp and powder embossing. Then the stamp I painted colors # 055, # 133, #173 and I blurred it using clear pen #N00. Last but not least we have Heater sharing a fabulous card! When I found out we were doing a team up with Tobow, I was super excited! I used the Dual Brush Pens on some packaging and sprayed it with water, next I placed my cardstock over the packaging. It gave it a beautiful vibrant water color look. Then I die cut it out and used the one of the cut aparts from the December Clique Kit. Fun little card all complete! Thank you all so much for stopping by today! I was digging through some old photo and came across this gem from 1989 and I just had to scrap it. I wanted to create a tree effect, so I used the 'Merry Christmas' from the Holiday Phrases Cut File as the base and then fussy cut all the Santa's to complete the "tree". I added some foam to the Santa's so they are dimensional, as well as the holly and swan. ![]() The large title provides a focal point and just what I needed to create this fun layout.
I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season! Welcome back to day 2 of the Clique Kits and Tombow Team Up! Today we are excited to share projects form design team members Jodie King and Rachel Lowe. First up we have Jodie.. Hi friends, I have a spread to share with you today using the gorgeous December Rainbow Travelers’ Notebook kit and Tombow products including fabulous Dual Brush Pens. This past week we’ve been on a short break to Fraser Island and I wanted to document a favourite photo from our sub-tropical getaway. I've used the December Plus Background cut file and created a background with the Tombow Dual Brush Pens. The technique I used makes a nice blend of vibrant colour, is super easy, and I really love how it turned out! Because there is a bit of water involved in this technique I would recommend using watercolour paper, mixed media paper (this is what I used), or cardstock primed with gesso. For my background I chose three different coloured pens that work well with my sub-tropical landscape theme, a light and darker green, and a blue. Using all three colours, I scribbled small random blocks of colour using the brush end of the pens on a scrap of clear packaging. I made sure the blocks of colour were really close together without overlapping too much. Then I spritzed the plastic a few times with water, and laid it over the paper. I used my fingers to squidge over the top of the plastic, which helps the colour spread and blend as it is applied to the paper. A couple of times I wanted a little more blending so I sprayed an extra spritz or two of water directly to the paper. Then I repeated this process until my paper was completely filled. While I was playing with the Tombow pens I stamped a few leaf images from the Avery Elle stamp set in the November Colour Kit, with Stazon black ink. Then I used the same two green pens to colour the leaves directly onto my mixed media paper. To blend the colours easily I gave each leaf a brush with water using a small paint brush after I’d finished colouring them. With the cut file, background and leaves ready to go, the rest of my spread came together really quickly. I used my Tombow Mono Dots Adhesive tape runner to easily apply adhesive to the back of my cut file and adhere it to the background. I love how precise it is for the back of a cut file, and there’s no risk of liquid adhesive showing through the negatives. To adhere the fussy cut leaves I used the Tombow Mono Liquid glue on the stems, and popped up the ends with foam tape. I hope I’ve inspired you to try a fun and easy mixed media background using Tombow Dual Brush pens for your cut files today! We just love how Jodie created this beautiful travelers notebook spread! Love how the stamped leaves turned out using the brush pens! Next up we have Rachel sharing a beautiful table setting she is using this holiday season! I love there are so many different ways to use these products! I have created these table decor pieces for our Christmas dinner table. I needed a strong glue to hold the heavy cutlery, the Tombow liquid being the perfect wet glue. I used a mix of the liquid glue and dot adhesive to decorate/embellishment. The liquid glue also perfect for adhering my fine glitter. So much inspiration shared so far! We hope you will join us tomorrow for even more! Make sure to head on over to the Tombow blog and Instagram to see more amazing projects!
