Hi CK friends! Jodie here with you today. Around this time of the year, especially in Australia, we have a chance for some holiday time to relax and just chill out. One of my favourite things to do on holidays is to grab a good novel and head to the beach or poolside and settle in. Today I have an idea for some 5 minute holiday bookmarks that will be the envy of your crafty friends while you're on holidays. Using the Rainbow Traveler's Notebook kit and add on patterned paper kit, I've made two different styles of bookmarks and they both start with an origami base. The first style is called an 'origami bookmark corner'. I haven't included instructions on how to put the bases together, but a quick google will give you a bunch of links for instructions. The 6x6 paper pad in the traveler's notebook kit is perfect for this style of base, because the paper is already cut to the exact right size, no trimming required! Once your base is prepared, you just need a few simple elements to embellish your bookmark. For each of mine I've used a doily die cut from white cardstock, and in the first and second one, a flag and a sticker from the My Minds Eye sticker sheet from the kit. My second two tags start with an 'origami heart' base. Again a quick Google will give you links on how to put this cute heart together. I started with a 5x5 piece of patterned paper for each of the heart bases. The sentiment on this bookmark was trimmed from the Pinkfresh Studio paper in the patterned paper add on kit, and then layered with a few small ephemera pieces. I punched a hole with my Cropadile in the top corner and threaded bakers twine from the kit through it, and then punched a hole in the middle of one of the little ephemera stars. I threaded this on and tied a double knot at the end to hold the star in place. Celebrate Simplicity is another awesome holiday sentiment and this tag was also trimmed from the Pinkfresh Studio paper.
I love how quickly these little bookmarks came together and how sweet they look. And we all need some five minute crafts this time of the year right!? Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello crafty friends! Rita here to share a new layout with you. I hope you had wonderful Christmas Days. I did! On the first Christmas Day I visited the Christmas Market in Baden-Baden with my family and it was so nice. We had some yummi Crèpes and mule wine and enjoyed the great atmosphere although it was super cold. Back at home I wanted to make a layout about it and found two Cut Files, that I wanted to combine. The „Eat, Drink & Be Merry“ and the „Ornaments“ Cut File. This time I wanted my layout as white and minimalistic as possible. First I made a background, using two acrylic colors. „Pretty Pink“ by Kaisercolour and „Titanium“, a metallic acrylic paint by Martha Stewart Crafts. On top I used some color mists and enamel dots. If you look closely you'll notice that I cut some parts of the „Eat, drink & be merry“ Cut File off (the arrow and the ornaments, to be more precise!). I liked it better that way. Then I arranged the (bigger) ornaments and handstitched their „threads“, so it would look like they're hanging from above. After that I was kind of stuck. I had my three black&white photos I took at the Christmas Market and didn't know where to put them. My first idea which was to put all three photos in a row didn't work out for me anymore. After trying some variations, I came up with what you see now. Three photos vertically arranged. My last step was to use some roller stamps. I love the simplicity of the layout. Aswell as the shimmering effect of the acrylic paint and the Color Shine which - together with the Cut Files - create that special "festive" mood I was aiming for. Maybe you feel inspired and want to try it out? I would love to see how you use these two Cut Files. Don't forget to share your work and tag @cliquekits (and #cliquekits), so we can all see what you create!
Now I can only wish you a happy happy new year! And see you soon! Hi you guys, It's Daniela again and I'm happy to show you another project today. I hope you had great Christmas days with lots of love and good eats! Mine have been fabulous and now we're looking forward to celebrating 2019. Today I have got another winter layout for you. We already had some snow here in Germany, that's why I was in the mood for a snow layout. I grabbed the I Love You Snow Much - Holiday 2016 | Digital Die Cut and started scrapping with the Hipster Holiday kit. And this is how the layout turned out: I cut the title from white cardstock and applied pale blue color around the edges of the blanks. Then I added some color splashes in blue, grey and purple. When the color was dry, I placed the cardstock on the cute penguin patterned paper and added the cut title a bit offset on the cardstock so that the patterned paper shines through. The title is embellished with fussy cut pieces which I placed on the title. Everything is overlapping here and there and I also used some clear nuvo drops to have another texture on my page which creates shiny highlights. This cut file offers so many possibilities. It can be used as a fun title for layouts, but also creates the perfect sentiment for crads or tags.
I would love to see how you use this one on your projects, so don't forget to tag the Clique when showing your work! Have fuun creating, see you soon. Hello Everyone! Hi everyone! Today I show you 2 posts with the happy December Kit. I was inspired by the pattern of the frame for this Layout. So I sewed this on Cardstock. I placed the frames, and decorated the Rest with Stickers. I love this happy colours so much in the Kit. That's why I really wanted to use the rainbow Paper as the background. I used the Cut File "best day ever" from Clique Kit for my Taveler's notebook. On the left side i made a Pocket with the Patterned Paper for my Journaling and Tickets and on the right side i placed the Title. I did not decorate it too much because the Paper is so happy and colorful. That's an easy way for me to documented a daily trip. ![]() Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you like it! Hello friends, Theresa here with another fun travel layout using the December Rainbow kit! Back in 2015 we took a weekend trip to Savannah and St. Simons Island, so I was inspired to create a layout for my son Nick's album. Here is my layout. I began my layout with the best part, the photos, which I printed at 3 inches square with white borders. In my head I was thinking two photos with paper strips behind it, so I pulled out what I had from the kit. Papers, ephemera, everything. I pulled two paints I had, Spun Sugar and Mowed Lawn from Tim Holtz, and splattered a bit of them onto the black and white patterned paper. Once I had my background dried, I laid out my photos and gathered some of the ephemera pieces from the Fancy Pants pack. I chose favorites that expanded the color palette of the layout. The title word Adventure stood out to me, so I began to add to that for my entire title. It needed a home base to stand out against, so the patterned paper strips came in handy here. I've used the alphabet Thickers in the kit to finish out the title, and popped the word Adventure up using pop dots. Once the title was down, everything else was just gravy on top! I adhered all the fun bits and pieces that I love and that were able to be tucked in behind photos, around the title, anywhere that needed a little pop of color. Each piece that I added tells a part of this story: it was a road trip that we took at the spur of the moment (hence the Just Wingin' It die cut), we drove down in the car (hence the car die cut!) and just did whatever we felt like doing, and we discovered some really awesome things along the way. Besides the ephemera I also have journaling, both stamped and hand written. I used the labels in the kit from Pretty Little Studio to add my hand written words. This place on St. Simon's Island, GA is home to the famous Lighthouse that Eugenia Price has written about in her historical novels. If you're looking for interesting reads about the south, look her up. Our kids had so much fun touring the grounds and climbing to the top of the lighthouse. My stamped sentiment is from the One Canoe Two rotary stamp and my date stamp is an old one from Target I've had for a few years now. Here is one last look at my layout. Thank you so much for following along with me today on this fun adventure on St. Simons Island! See you again soon! The December Rainbow kit is so full of vibrant happy colors and is perfect for this photo of my sweet granddaughter who was thrilled to be on an airplane a few weeks ago. I used the Hello Let's Go cut file, which was also a the perfect file to document this. I fussy cut some clouds from some Pretty Little Studio paper I had in my stash ad this helped fill the space and add to the flying/airplane effect. I created a shaker pocked with the "O" and also scattered a few heart stickers from the December kit and ink drops to finish things off.
Hello everyone! Ksenia is here and I want to share with you my layout using the December Rainbow kit! In this kit there is a sheet of paper by Bella BLVD, who reminded me of the print on my daughter's jacket and balloon. Lama flies balloons and tells everyone to smile :)
Hello Everyone! We are on our last day of inspiration from the Clique Kits & Tombow team up! Today we have Orange Gearle sharing a great project using the Dual Brush Markers! I have loved working with the duel brush markers from Tombow! I used the packaging technique to create this for my bullet journal. I started by using the broad side of the marker to scribble on a piece of plastic packaging and then added a little bit of water. To intensify the color a bit, I also made a scribble on the watercolor paper before “smushing” the packaging onto the paper, over the scribbles. I like this technique because it makes it look like water color and very organic (you don’t see brush strokes). I did this with four different markers, making sure to overlap colors that go well together! Then I added my doodled trees over the top of the color, and finally added some stamping at the bottom. I really like how well these markers create a splash of color across the page — so intense and beautiful! XO o.g. We had a great week on inspiration! Make sure to stop by the Tombow blog and Instagram as well for more projects! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
