Hi Crafty Friends!!! As today is the last day of the month of October; I decided to document the month on a scrapbook layout instead of using my Memory Planner. This layout was so fun to create! I pulled together pattern paper and ephemera from these 3 awesome kits in the Clique Store; Sampler Kit | Heidi Swapp's Sunchaser (cliquekits.com), Seasonal Kit | Cape May (cliquekits.com) and Add-on Kit | It's Easy being Green (cliquekits.com). I typically only use 1-2 photos per layout; but love capturing all that I did during the month of October in one layout. I fussy cut each of the leaves for this layout to represent "Fall". I matted each photo alternating between white cardstock as well as pattern paper. American Craft "Thickers" are my go-to for titles. This journalling prompt is from the Heidi Swapp "Sunchaser" Collection. I decided to distress the edges of the prompt & each pattern paper strip using the Heidi Swapp distresser tool from stash. I used my HP sprocket to print out each 2x3 photo. Add ephemera from multiple brands. Be sure to head over to Clique International (cliquekits.com). There are tons of new items available as well as the kits I used for this layout.

Happy Halloween! It is Ali here with you today celebrating Halloween once again this week. I just love this Seasonal Kit | Halloween that is currently in the shop and I had to make a second page layout to go with the first one that I posted earlier this week. I had so many great photos from a haunted hike that we took, and I just adore this Halloween collection from Fancy Pants, so I thought let's make a layout that is complimentary to my first one that was posted this week. I love double page spreads and that is all I use to create. It is very pleasing to the eye when you have your design flow nicely. To do that you want to repeat some of your themes across the two pages. For one, I did use the same color cardstock that was included in the kit. I rarely get to use purple, so I was happy to see it in this Halloween grouping. I also stamped a border around the cardstock like I did on my first page, and I created another grid layout design. I created three groupings of ephemera on my page and made sure I incorporated another round tag on my second page, so I have that triangle design that draws the eye across the pages. Can we talk about this cute monster and his antlers. I have never seen a collection like this before and fell in love with the unique monsters and ghosts. I sprinkled enamel dots around the three groupings of die cuts.
Thanks for joining me today and I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween. Love, Ali For the front cover, I made a circle on the chipboard and lined it with the checkered paper leaving the space to put the acetate for the shaker. I used the flowers sequins package on my kit. For the spine, I used acetate to protect the paper, since I did not use chipboard for the semi-circular spine structure. Then, I decorated the front cover with die cuts.I covered the whole inside of my external cover and made two little pockets on the sides for cards and tags. In the back pocket I left space to fit the back cover of the mini album bound with The Cinch. For the pages of the mini, I cut out papers that contained cards, postcards and tags and bound them together with the sheets I had separated, doing something a bit deconstructed and layered. Now all you have to do is post the pictures and write about each moment. Scrapbooking is like going back in time too. |
