Gia here to share some of my Traveler's notebook layouts using the beautiful November TN kit: Cornucopia. My traveler's notebooks are filled with snapshots of our daily life. Using this format is so much easier for me than trying to do a whole project life spread or even full size layouts. Having a kit makes it even easier to grab supplies ad go whether taking a trip or just having a picnic in the park.

This kit is so beautifully curated. And I have a favorite paper, OMG... It's aptly named "Belle" meaning beautiful! (Ahem, I actually have a "belle" in my full name, just FYI. Lol!). See the paper on top? That is what I call fussy cut heaven. Just. Beautiful. Floral patterns begging to be cut. And that's just what I did, of course! I have to carefully plan out how to maximize this paper coz I love it so much I know I need it in every project I'd make with the November kit (yes, I am that obsessed lol!) So, this is basically how I wanted to do with my layout. I first lined them up like you see in the image so I have an idea how everything will look like before adhering them into place. I also wanted to use these papers which I cut into strips in different sizes and slightly lifted the edges. Once I have an initial idea of my layout's design, I started decorating/embellishing. I used a small doily from my stash and added some messy threads too. I also splattered some watercolor on the white cardstock before adhering the strips of papers. And this is how my layout turned out! I used foam tapes to some of the fussy cut florals for a bit of dimension. I framed my daughter's photo with one of the die cuts in the ephemera pack and also used a thin foam tape before adhering it to the layers of doily and messy threads. I like that you can play around with this pretty sticker word art! I shaped it like this by accident, so I just went and followed that idea for the title work. I manipulated the "sweet" word as well and I like how it kind of created a whimsical flow. If you will notice, I alternated the colors from gold to black to gold again with my title work. I like how it looked like after. It blended well with the black and white fussy cut florals and the colorful strips of papers. I always love reading your comments, would love to know what you think of my project today.
That's all and I hope you liked my page. Happy crafting! Today is the day we reveal the November Kit! Not at all "just" traditional fall colors, however, you will FALL in love (haha) with the trendy color palette that makes this kit a stand-out. Clique Kits doesn't often mix up several different collections in one kit- but when we do- it all has to come together to our standards. This kit more than meets the mark. The Gratitude Documented collection from Bella Blvd/Illustrated Faith bring a modern fall vibe, while the Pebbles Girl Squad thickers and ephemera add a fun twist. Add in a little bit of the Maggie Holmes Carousel papers and gold script embellishments...plus so much more and this kit is truly magical. For this month's traveler notebook the Pretty Little Studio Tales & Dreams collection coordinates perfectly with the main kit while kicking it up a notch or two with more of those dreamy colors. Used together or separately both kits are must haves! Some of the items included in the kits did not make it to print when these photos were done...so let me show you the Traveler's Notebook exclusive insert that I designed for November. It is included for subscribers and also sold separately in the shop. You can find the complete kit listings here and here. For add ons, please check out the November Release in the CK shop. Here is Réka and today I am sharing a layout created with the awesome October Main Kit. I love fussy cutting and the following Shimelle’s paper is perfect for it. I cut out a lots of images and placed and adhered some pieces with foam tape to add dimension for my layout. My first thought was to stitch around the photo as the circle shape but in the end I have decided to sew as the oval shape more times. I have used different colour thread. Between the fussy cutting image, I scattered some green enamel dots. The last step was to add some enamels and washi tape on the left and the right side of the page. I really love the result. Here is one last look at my finished layout. I hope you enjoy my layout and thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful crafty day! See you soon! Réka Hello, Friends! Maryám here to share with you another layout using the October 2017 "Girl Tribe" Kit. This kit features the Glitter Girl collection from Shimelle, and some other things from Amy Tangerine and Studio Calico. For today's project, I decided to use a big photo, so I opened Photoshop, changed the size of the photo to 8 1/2 x 11 and then I sent it to print. After that, I did the funniest part, embellishing. I added some ephemera pieces, stickers, and also the journaling. Here is the result: Here are some close-ups: I hope you liked my layout. And don't forget to try to make a layout with a big photo. This layout was the first one I made and I really liked the result.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day! Happy Saturday everyone! Today I'm getting a little holiday on you all, I'm going to share a card I made using the Clique Into December 2017 Kit, as well as products in my stash, past kit products, and items we have in the Clique Kits Store. I decided to do a little process video to share with you all. You can watch the video below. I loved creating this card. My inspiration started with the tree paper I created last holiday season. It is a printable paper. I printed it at home on regular printer paper and a laser printer. Once I had that printed off, of thought the Clique Into December 2017 kit would work perfect with it. I also recently purchased this stamp set from Lawn Fawn (Winter Village). TIP: Instead of using the Winter Village stamp set, you could use the stickers and ephemera with the houses or even cut out the houses on the reverse side of the American Crafts "Winter Wonderland" paper. I used the pink side for my card front, but still have plenty of paper would I could have fussy cut the houses from the reverse and even painted some of them. Below is the completed card. Below is a product list of the products I used on the card that are available in the Clique Kits Store. REMEMBER: all orders placed in October 2017 will ship November 2017. If you do not indicate that it is okay to ship your purchase in November, we will reimburse you for your purchase. Just note in the "Notes" section that is okay to ship in November. This is due to Erica (who works our warehouse) being on maternity leave after the birth of her sweet baby.
Thank you for joining me today! Have a great weekend.
Happy Friday! Khristina here to share a traveler's notebook layout with you that I am SUPER excited about. I am really loving the colors, little details, and themes of this month's kit for my daughter's traveler's notebook insert. If you aren't familiar with this project I'm working on, here are the basics. I have an insert that I am using just for my daughter and each spread is a letter from me to her about some part of her developing personality or some life lesson that I want to share with her. It is starting to come together and I am really pleased with it so far. For today's spread, I wanted to talk to her about her strong heart and belief that anything is possible. My ten-year old son actually snapped this picture of her on a camping trip last weekend and it was perfect to go with this theme of dreaming big dreams and making them real. This month's collection just happened to be a perfect fit for that theme too...bonus! I decided that I wanted to create a sort of grid layout using those adorable washi tape squares in the sticker booklet from the kit. I tried to mix them up in an interesting way so that phrases, icons, and patterns were spread out throughout the layout. I also mixed them up to spread out the colors. Adding a tiny strip of patterned paper along the top of the layout really tied all of those colors together. Adding a few little embellishments including some of the puffy sticker hearts and some of the washi strips were the best final touches. I added my signature letter to my daughter and the spread was complete. I adore working in the traveler's notebook format because the layouts just seem to flow and come together quickly. This kit is just perfect for that format because each little element makes such a big impact. I would love it if you would also stop by and check out the process video where I talk even more about my design decisions and how this particular spread came together. Enjoy and happy crafting! I hope you get to create this weekend.... Hello everyone! It is Réka here today to share a layout I created with the Clique Cards Holiday '17 kit. When I saw the very pretty Santa Claus illustration from the Simple Stories Very Merry collection I knew I would like to use on my page. I have also chosen some illustration cards and fussy cut them and added for my layout. This kit contains one cute Honeybee Stamp Set. I used the stamps on a white cardstock and I used with translucent embossing powder to create interesting effect for the words and fussy cut them. I adhered the stamped „Merry Christmas” title with foam tape for adding dimension to the page. Some machine stitching and the green emanel dots were the finishing touches to complete my layout. The result is so sweet. Here is one last look at my finished layout. I hope I have inspired you today and thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful crafty day! See you soon! Réka
Hello! Donna here sharing another fun scrapbook layout using the October kit "Girl Tribe" featuring Glitter Girl by Shimelle I had fun again creating my layout for today's post using this kit. I used one of the exclusive cut files this month as my title. I adjusted the dimension and made it a bit bigger meaning I've offset the original cut file. I wanted to retain the original image and still use the background where I cut it from. See the image below. ![]() Then I used watercolors on both the title and background. I spread the watercolors with a piece of plastic I went ahead and started embellishing my layout once the water-colored background and title dried. I can't help but play around the photo using this cute pink eyeglasses sticker. My daughter was sitting beside me while I was making this layout and she would point to all the shapes she recognize. When she saw I put eyeglasses to her photo, she said it's so funny! I love these gold foiled flowers in the kit, so pretty! TIP: Reinforce the stickers with craft glue to keep it from falling out of place Adding elements like stars and flowers to the title helps making it stand out a bit more That's all from me today. I hope you liked my project!
Take care and thanks for dropping by! Happy crafting, Aloha!! It's Hannah with you today!! How is week going? Are you like me, I start my year strong, focused and taking a ton of photos. Determined to fully document our day to day lives. Then routine sets in, and I kinda get tired of seeing the same types of photos. How do you switch it up, so you don't stop telling your stories? This year I have decided to use some of my Traveler's Notebooks as a way of documenting those stories from our normal day to day lives. the things we think we will remember because we literally do them everyday. But what about those little changes that over time? Those moments that after a few years your routine really has changed. I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Just 2 to 3 years ago we lived in Hawaii, my kids were really little, in their early school years. we had a routine, and things seemed so easy. This year as I pour my and more time planning our homeschool lessons and grading, I am realizing just how much my life really has changed. Not just in scenery because we moved to a whole new state. Not just because we no longer spend hours and hours in doctor appts throughout the month. The amount of words my girls can read per minute, the number of worksheets my kids finish each day, and the fact that they can actually help with the chores around the house. By using my TN to write a little blurp each day about the comings and goings is a big help with helping me remember these little moments. I plan to use a lot of these journals for PL, but I often like to add pictures when I am document certain moments. I use my words from IG, I add things my kids say that is goofy, I am the weather, I even like to mention things that are happening around me. The TN are perfect for spilling my thoughts of a normal day. Here is a spread I made that is what I like to do when I am documenting things about my day. I used the Girl Tribe Traveler's Notebook Kit. In Photoshop I added one of the PNG files from the printables for the Main Kit. This unicorn was so cute, I thought it would add a fun element to my spread. Plus I was thinking about the fact that unicorns embody this being able to overcome whatever and believing in something impossible, just because you need to be in something. This was the feel I wanted for my spread. Overcoming the day to day grind!! I changed the color with the paint bucket tool. I sized my page size 4 x 8.25 so when I dropped my png in I could size it to the page size easily. This really helps with printing and cutting to add to my Traveler's Notebook. I then dropped my photo into this page in Photoshop and sized it to my liking. I wanted some space at the top for journalling. I wanted to write my journaling, but you could definitely add journaling with the text feature in Photoshop. This would be especially helpful if you had a lot to say and wanted it to know that it would fit in the space. I like my hand writing in my journals, so I just printed my page on cover stock. It's a bit different than photo paper and yardstick. It is a bit thinner, which I like in my Traveler Notebook. I added a few stickers to embellish, I even added embroidery floss in the top of the tag. I am loving the sticker sheet we had in the kit. There is so many stickers with tons of different uses. For the opposite side, I knew I didn't want to add anymore journaling. I used the speciality vellum from the Girl Tribe Main Kit. It has all these symboling, it kind of reminded of all the things that you have planned to do during a day, like a to do list. Having vellum fill a page it would create the illusion of a lots of embellishing on the page without really having to add all the layers. I stapled the vellum to the top. This way if I did want to change my mind later about journaling I could still add some without losing the page. Adding a die cut word, gave me a really easy title. I just had to add this coffee cup to a cluster at the bottom of the vellum. I added stars around my cluster to highlight it. I am using this blue Shimelle paper clip to mark my page, because I intend to journal straight up on the next page. Maybe add a small cluster of stickers, to make the page more appealing. I really love the idea of having tons of journaling about our days. Seeing this writing later makes my heart smile. Here is the final look of my spread. Thanks for joining me today. I hope I have given you some fresh ideas and ways to use your Traveler's Notebooks. Keep an eye out on the Clique Kits Youtube Channel for the process video for this later this week.
