Hi there! Giorgia here today on the Clique Blog to keep you company. Today I will show you an idea for a quick and cute packaging made with fabric bags you can find on some Clique International kit. I decorated them to create bags for beauty gifts: face cream, hand cream and cotton make-up remover handmade by me! The two gift bags have the same design, they only differ for colors and elements: since they are gifts for twins I thought this could be sweet :) I used Color Me Happy by Pretty Little Studio sampler kit die-cuts (if you love Color Me Happy collection as much as I do, check out also this other die-cut package from the same collection!) For both the bags I used a felt doily as focal point. I created a scene with a cute animal, rainbow, cloud, butterflies from Bloom Street sticker book and flowers. A label and a die-cut sentiment complete the bags: I love to add machine stitched details! I used flatback crystals from My Favorite Story Sequel by Pinkfresh Studio add-on kit and sequins to add sparkle. Have a good day!
Ciao, a presto.

Hi everyone. Nicole here! I've been sad. A little over a week ago, I had to put my little angel down. She has been battling Feline Leukemia since the day Edward rescued her from the Animal Shelter. We knew Jess would only have 1-2 years to live...but we decided to give her the best life we could possibly give her. She got lots of toys, treats, love and kisses. She was such a sweet kitty. We all loved her dearly. We were lucky... instead of 2 years, we got to have have 4 wonderful years with her. As I type this, I have a lump in my throat and tears... I'm still so very sad. I didn't want to scrapbook this layout yet, but it actually helped me during my grieving process. For this layout, I used Bella Blvd.'s Chloe Collection, a paw print stencil from Newton's Nook Designs, Metal Die from Kesi' Art and Art Anthology's Carnation Sorbet Dimensional Paint. Lots of beautiful product went into this layout. I am very happy with how this turned out. It's a great tribute layout to my fur-angel. All of these products are available at Clique International and the products include links in this post! We also have acrylic paints that can be used with the stencil! To begin, I used some paint and a stencil to create little pink paw prints all over the white cardstock. Once the paint was completely dry, I matted my photos with patterned paper and adhered it to the bottom of the layout. I layered the die cuts using foam squares and then added rhinestones to the center of them to add dimension. Since I had some pick thread, I thought it would be neat to add a bit of thread behind the flower. I just love how a little twill and thread can add a homespun feel to the layout. I love the die cuts in the Chloe collection. They are absolutely adorable!!! I used a lot of them on this layout... I couldn't help myself. The yellow kitty was created using a metal die. :) Thank you for stopping by today! Come grab your Chloe kit so that you can scrapbook your fur babies! And if you only have dogs, we've got that covered, too! Click here to purchase your Cooper Kit.
Hi friends! Today I am sharing a 12 x 12 layout using the Bom Dia Sampler Kit featuring the newest collection from Polish brand Studio Forty. I fell in love with this collection at first sight. To change it up from how I usually start a design- with a photo that is at most 4 x 6" but very often even smaller--I thought I would try a challenge to use a very large photo on this layout. I had this cute, totally candid shot of my youngest son and his cousins sitting on the beach while we were on vacation last month. I printed it in a large square shape about 8x8" and centered it on the yellow paper from the collection. I spent the better part of a Netflix & chill evening fussy cutting all of the adorable cameras from another one of the Bom Dia papers. My plan was to use the cameras to create a frame for the photo. To add interest, I adhered approximately every other one with foam tape to add some dimension. I also used the Bom Dia chipboards from the sampler kit and adhered some of them to the bottom of the photo. One element of design that is sometimes more subtle is the balance of elements. Elements can be large or small in scale, and can also be "heavier" or "lighter" in visual weight. I felt the bottom portion of the page needed a little bit more "weight" in order for the lower half of the page to have as much weight as the upper half with my title in it. My title was created using a stamp from my stash and blue pigment ink from Kesi-Art. I cut the stamped image out and adhered it at the top of my photo with foam tape so that it almost looked like it was part of the sky. I love the way this layout came out and it was so easy to create with just a scissor, adhesive, the Bom Dia sampler kit, and some stamps. I hope you will try changing it up on your next layout and try working with a large photo as the focus of your page!
Hello crafty friends! Rita here today with a fun step-by-step tutorial to make a summery art journal page. I used my new Media Journal (Blue Edition) by Dina Wakley, but you can use any art journal you already have or like. There are even some in the Clique International Shop: Vicki Boutin Junque Journal Starter Kit Bad Ass Art Journal Kit | Bad Girls Couture For this project I used acrylic paints and stencils. Here you can find the stencil I used: Basic Texture Kit Here are the acrylic paints: Dylusions - Last but not least I used the Mermaid Kit and the Yellow Roses paper by Pebbles. I started with lots of paint as you can see. LOL Beforehand I just knew I wanted to make a summery spread and using a photo of a recent trip to Lake Constance. So this is where the experiment started. I used an Indigo color, but it was too dark, then I added pink, some yellow, white. This is the cool thing about Art Journaling, everything goes and often if not always you just go with the flow. I let it rest for a while so it could dry. But when I came back later I wasn't fully satisfied. And that's ok. I would paint it over. No big deal! But before that I used a stencil (from the Maggie Holmes "Sunny Days" collection, which you can find here) and some structure gell gloss. You can also use the Molding paste in the "Basic Texture kit". After drying the gell gloss became transparent but there was enough texture, so I painted it over, because it was too dark and bluish for me. I like that the blue paint is still shimmering through a little. Also the right side is a denim page. It was a little flimsy, but easy to work with. I added some mint and yellow. It looks totally different to how I started out, definitely brighter, and I liked it much better. I usually work on Art Journal pages for days. I add something, then let it dry. Sometimes I paint something over like in this case. Sometimes I have a new idea or find a new embellishment. It's a work in progress and a real nice opportunity to let your creative juices flowing. Afterwards it was time to embellish and use some stamps. I used mini stamps by "Flora and Fauna". Unfortunately they are already sold out in the shop, but you can find some Flora and Fauna products here: Stamp-tember Kit | Flora and Fauna More Stamp-tember Kit | Flora and Fauna They are high-quality and easy to use. The most important thing when stamping on paint is to use waterproof ink pads. You can find them here: Obsidian Pigment Ink Pad | Altenew Archival Mini Ink Pad Kit 1 Archival Mini Ink Pad Kit 2 As you can see, I used a lot of die cuts from the "Mermaid Hair" Kit, but also some fussycut flowers. For my title I used an older Alpha Stamp from my stash, but I also like handwriting or adding some florals with a waterproof pen. Here I was satisfied with the black stamping and all the little details. Let's look at the full spread. I hope you like it as much as I do. I hope you feel inspired to try this technique for documenting or just meditating. It's so much fun! Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting!
Hi friends! Dana here today sharing a fun tutorial that uses a digital cut file as a template for wood burning. Some days I feel like the only crafter who doesn't own an electronic cutting machine. I often click through the Digitals Section of the Clique Shop to admire, with a bit of envy, all the super cool designs that are available. I selected the FREE You & Me Digital Cut File and processed it in a fun old school way. I resized and printed the .PNG file, and after a little bit of hand tracing using carbon paper (gasp!), I was ready to design with a digital file for the first time. Once I burned the letters onto a small wood plaque, I colored the piece with watercolors that I made with Lindy's Magical Shakers. I added a clip-on hook to create a key holder to share with my husband. How to Use a Digital Cut File as a Template For Wood Burning |
For this background I used a 12x12 geli plate. I used the Dylusions acrylic paint in colors Rose Quart, Laid Back Lilac and Periwinkle Blue. I added drops of the pink and lilac and used my brayer to move that paint over the entire surface. Once the surface was covered, I added tiny amounts of periwinkle to added a few dark areas. As it was sitting, some of the paint started to pull away from the plate creating areas with no paint. These create the white areas around the edges that you can see above. When all of my paint was added to the plate, I placed a piece of white cardstock over it and gently rubbed, making sure I do my best to cover all areas of the plate. |
After I removed the paper, I used a flower stencil and white acrylic paint to add a few areas of interest. I also used my paint brush and created large splatters of the pink, lilac and periwinkle. After this was all dry, it was time to layer, place my photos and add all of the fun details! I finished the layout by adding a white border around the whole page.
Thanks so much for joining me today!

Hi. Tânia here! How are you all? Hope you are all fine and creative. Today I decided to share with you this junk journal made essentially with Vintage Vibe Ephemera Pack and a few scrapbooking papers.
Made it from zero and guess what? It´s so easy because you already have a lot of things in this vintage kit so you just have to put all together in one piece 😊 I could have used plain papers or even all the cards that came in the kit as my major pages but Alexandra Renke papers were calling for me since I saw them, so… had to used them!
This kit came with 2 hard paper board covers so to keep it simple, I decided to painted both using Grunge colour from Bad Girls Couture art journal kit. But not before using some gesso on it, just because press paper board soaks a bit paint and this way I avoid that. You can see better in my process video.
After selecting all my supplies, I had to decide how I would bind them all together. I chose something simple (you know… easy & less measurements.) Folding in half (twice) all dictionary pages and gluing them in my papers would be enough to make a kind of fake accordion structure.
Junk Journals are the best. You can collect several little things (vintage/old papers, scrapbooking leftovers, embellishments, vintage ephemera etc.) you name it. Then you just need to put all things into to one. You can use old books or create your own, as I did with this kit.
You can use it to only to write down your thoughts or you can really put down some photos and do some journaling or just to simple display beautiful things you have collected. Isn´t it awesome!
Now, if you want to create your own junk journal from zero and need some inspiration you can check the videos I´ve made for you.

Hello everybody!
It's Isa today on the blog and I am thrilled to present you a new project made by one of the collections of the moment: Imagine, designed by Wilma Rodriguez for Mintopia Studio. It is one of my favorite Spanish brands and for me it's such an honor to work with them for international sites!!
On today's post I will show you a layout I've made with papers of the collection and die cuts, playing with watercolors and the layers of papers. You can find the collection and other products from Mintopia here.
To start with the project, I made a background with different colors and sets of watercolors. I love them and I love using them for creating backgrounds. I made different drops of paint of different sizes. It is very easy to make once you have it under control, it's just learning how to play with the brush and water and let the magic begin! I used the colors that appear on the papers and die cuts that I use. What I like about this collection is that it has endless combinations of colors.
For the layering of the project I have used scraps of paper that I had once I finished a mini album that you will see very soon with this collection. I didn't think much about cutting or measuring them. I always take the picture as my reference and then I start building the cluster of papers behind it. I put some vellum too, thread of different colors (yellow, pink and white) and then to decorate some die cuts and puffy stickers from the collection.
For the title of the layout I have used the alphabet of the Imagine collection itself. It's puffy and all the letters have different colors so it combines with mostly everything!
I hope you liked this new layout and I hope that you create beautiful things with such beautiful collection. See you real soon with new projects! Take care. Love,
Isa

Hello Everyone, it's Piroska here today with my latest layout for Clique International. Have you already seen the Let's Stay Home collection by Pinkfresh Studio? It is amazing, full of beautiful embellishments to document our daily life in or after Lockdown. You can purchase it as a Let's Stay Home Sampler Kit at Clique Kits, and there is also a Let's Stay Home Paper Kit and a Let's Stay Home Add-On Kit with great embellishments. Believe me, you need them all! ;-)
When the pandemic reached Hungary there were different opinions about whether we should we wear a mask or not. There was also a short supply of them, so many have started to make their own masks. Me too. I am very grateful for my mum, who taught me how to sew with a sewing machine when I was a teenie. Now I could use that skill (and I don't only sew on my scrapbook layouts ;-P )
First I cut the Sew Happy cut file of CUT to YOU from smooth white cardstock with my Cameo. I just love that floral ornament on that machine! As my photos, i.e. my masks are blue, I wanted to back those flowers with blue patterned paper. I chose the Hope for a New Day paper from the 12x12 Paper Kit and backed the petals one by one with the blue and light-blue rays of the rainbow. For the bigger buttons I used the other side of the same paper. Finally I backed the sewing machine with the light pink side of the rainbow paper.
For my background I chose the Better Things Are Ahead paper from the Paper Pack. It has a similar, beautiful blue colour with a floral pattern, so it matched my sewing machine very well. My photos were to small, so I had to find out how to make my photo strip more dominant. I decided to make use of the rest of that rainbow paper and adhered it to the background paper.
I glued cardboard on the back of the cut file so it stands out of the background, and glued 2 sheets of cardboard behind the photo strip. Then I started to embellish. I love florals, so first I added the floral cut outs from the Let's Stay Home Sampler Kit. I also added some phrase cut outs, a fabric bow, cardstock and puffy stickers - it is so easy to decorate the pages because there is a great offer of embellishments in the kit and the Add-On Kit. For my title I used both Alpha stickers.
I really love how it turned out! I definetely going to make some more layouts with this collection, it is great to work with! Wishing you much happy scrappy-time and stay safe - wear a mask!
