Clique kits is looking to expand our horizons and is currently seeking designer educators from many different genres of papercrafting to build a collective of supportive and productive creatives! Talented mixed media artists, scrapbookers, card makers, art journalers, travelers notebook documenters, and anyone trying to live their best creative life  are invited to apply for this call. Whether you are someone who already knows and likes our kits, or whether you have never thought of being on our team because you are not primarily a traditional scrapbooker, we want to hear from you!  Read on to learn more!

Looking for paper crafters from all over the world but especially any of the following countries (these will change for future calls! So if your country is not listed- it may be in the future! Assignment will be scheduled for one month during the August 2019-July 2020 term. Applications will be taken until the calendar has been filled.

Submit a letter briefly telling us about yourself, your creative activities, and places to find you on the internet to info@cliquekits.com with "Passport DT" in the subject line. English language ability is helpful, but feel free to use a translating tool. Please attach to the email some photos of your best work in any genre. If there are any special techniques, folk art motifs, or other ethnic or cultural traditions or aesthetics that distinguish your artwork please point this out! 

If selected, the duties of our international guests will be to provide a biography, answer a Q & A interview in writing or in a video, submit 2 projects shown in photographs with captions using product supplied to you to be shared publicly, and post a challenge in the Clique facebook group with one of your projects as a sample. Compensation will be either a box of product shipped to you from Clique Kits for your scheduled month, or an honorarium and/or payment to cover expenses for you to obtain product from your local supplier, or both depending on what works best for your location. Our objective is to learn as much as possible about you and your culture using our hobbies as a common ground to make positive and lasting connections! No experience on a design team is necessary but you are required to have a Facebook and Instagram account.

Clique Kits is also soliciting proposals for designer educators to teach online courses in conjunction with limited edition kit releases. The educator will be responsible for designing a project or technique based class using an existing or future Clique Kit. The educator will be able to collaborate on the selection of kit contents to be used for their class and will receive the kit used for the class as compensation along with an honorarium. The class will be accessible to those who purchase a kit exclusively for a limited time on the Clique Kits website (usually 1 month). After this time, the educator will have unrestricted rights to the content they have provided to use as they wish.

Small business owners are welcome to submit proposals to teach an online class and incorporate their own products in the kit for the class provided the class products are available to Clique Kits at wholesale cost.  To qualify, the educator must be the owner or a partner in the small business or the designee of said owner(s). The kit will be listed for sale along with the class on the Clique Kits website and social media. Products may be tangible items or digital downloads such as printables or cut files to be included in the kit. Educators may also use and link to additional supplies available for sale on their own platform, with or without providing a coupon or code. 

Proposals should include a written description of the objectives of the class as well as the project. Please link to other videos you have made for You Tube or other platforms that demonstrate proficiency in the production of quality video content.

​If selected, classes will be required to feature at a minimum: 

• the project or technique or sneak peeks of it in a photograph/series of photos
• one to three 10 minute videos of the process or technique either narrated or with captions instructions (in English or translated to English)
• A word, google doc,  or pdf. file listing materials and instructions preferably with accompanying photos.

Aloha friends! I apologize in advance if this post is a bit wordy, but I am hopping on the blog today to give a more detailed update about what is going on behind the scenes at Clique Kits. Since shipping out our last monthly subscription boxes in June I have had some time off to take care of some self care and think about future plans. Taking a page from Marie Kondo's book I have decided to focus on the aspects of Clique Kits I know "spark joy" for me! 

Everyone knows what value is: it means getting a lot for your money. That can mean value in terms of quantity of stuff in the kit, but it can also mean value in the quality of the experience... from customer service, to the fun of unboxing, to  the convenience of beautifully coordinated product literally delivered to your door. Clique Kits will continue to curate and release kits but not on any particular rotating cycle. Subscriptions will not be needed or offered as discounts are readily available through our website rewards programs! You won't have to accumulate monthly boxes at times when you don't have as much time to create with them.  As a member of our Facebook group you will have frequent opportunities to provide input into the collections and products you love to influence future kits. The reason no commitment is necessary is because we will take pre-orders for upcoming kits. The only deadlines to pay attention to are therefore the end of the pre-order period, after which time only kits left over will be listed in the shop once the kits are "in stock". This is not guaranteed to be the case for every kit and you must pre-pay for your kit to be guaranteed to receive one after the shipping date! 

About values...plural, I am talking about the principles and guidelines behind the choices we make. Values have always mattered at Clique Kits, and this continues to be the case. Because we are a worldwide community, we are open and accepting of artists and crafters spanning every race, country, religion, and orientation.  The passion for our hobby is the thread that binds us all together and we embrace diversity! 

Having values also means there are lines we won't cross, since they violate our integrity.

• We won't purchase counterfeit products made using stolen intellectual property and the designs of others! 
• We won't use products that do not meet our standards of being safe for the environment and we will try to source products made sustainably with easily renewable resources and/or with re-usable packaging or recycled materials whenever possible. 
• We WILL prioritize small business vendors, especially if their first run products are not available directly to the consumer or in the massive discount craft supply outlets. 

Having these values means that we will definitely be undersold for certain brands and products, and we know we cannot match the variety or amount of stock these places have. And that's okay! (wink)

Clique Kits has always been all about loyalty! When we started as an ecommerce website we started out by keeping track of our customers manually and rewarded participants in our monthly blog shares with reward points we tallied by hand!
