Hey all Rachel here with another layout created with the stunning May Kit Great Expectations. Having a teenage daughter I wanted to create a fun layout with a focus on journalling. I created a 8.5x11 inch layout and using the gorgeous star paper as my background paper (I know right, NOT a white background lol!). I machine stitched around the edge in black to add a stark contrast, I also added it on some of the lements such as the camera, tag and photo mat. I have created several clusters on my layout, each though done in a way to draw your eye to them. I have still kept the design triangle principal. I used lots of the word phrases from the kit to add my journal focus. I added foam tape to some elements to create dimension and it also enables me to tuck other elements underneath as I did with the word Hey, where I added some small flowers. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are having as much creative fun as I am with this kit (lets face it who doesn't love Crate Paper!). See you again soon.

Hello crafty friends! Rita here with a new layout, using the beautiful May Kit „Great Expectations“ and the 6x8 Paper Pad from the Junior Kit. When I saw the Cut File by Paige Evans in her Facebook Group „Happy Scrappy Place“ the first idea for this layout was born. I instantly knew that I wanted to use it. I backed it up with paper pieces from the „All the Heart“ Paper Pad. This is what took most of the time. Then I made a mixed media background full of acrylic paint splatters. After drying I arranged my photo, a paper strip (with tiny icons on it) and one paper from the Paper Pad with the Cut Out and glued them on. To fix them better I machine stitched along the bottom line. Heart stickers and some sticker words and sayings from the Sticker Sheet were used next. The last missing piece was the tag in the left corner. I like that the thread hanging down makes a reference to my photo. The photos show my Clique Kits Planner by the way. I love to use my leftover pieces in it. I hope you feel inspired by my layout. Don't forget to share your work with us on Facebook in our Group "The Clique" or on Instagram. We always love to see what you create.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting! Hello scrappy friends! Nicole here and today I'm sharing a super fun layout if you love to stitch! I'm using the May main kit only for this layout...let's get started! I loved the moons and stars included in this months kit, however there really wasn't a "moon" paper to coordinate. I took the paper with all of the stars on it and cut a moon into it, sewing a pink layer behind it. I added my title around the left side of the moon to give that side of my layout a bit more visual weight. I added my photo and layers along with an embellishment cluster to the left of my photo. I used the black string in the May kit for the stitching, on the tag and as added texture on my button. Thanks so much for joining me today! I can't wait to see what you create with the May kits! Hello, CK friends. It's Donna here today on the blog and I'm gonna be sharing a simple mini-album I created using the March Kit "Wonderful You". I used both the Main and TN kits. It's without photos at the moment but I am planning to use this for those random, everyday photos that I am not able to use in my single scrapbook layouts. That's all from me today. I hope you liked my project! See you in my next post.
Happy crafting, Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying all the awesome goodies in the May, Great Expectations, Kit. On today's layout, I have used the Heidi Swapp, Emerson Lane paper for the background, the Crate Paper, All Heart, embellishments and 2 cut files from the Clique Kits shop. The beautiful butterfly heart cut file is a FREE download made by Gia, for iNSD 2019. While you are shopping, check the so useful hashtag words on the last page of digital files! I made a little cluster with bits from the Crate paper, All Heart, ephemera pack, one of the cute paper clips and a Shimelle sparkly enamel heart. There are some very cool glossy puffy stickers from Crate paper with lots of words and little sayings. The sequin Heart is from the Crate Paper , La La Love You collection which was in a February kit. Finally, I added a few more of the puffy stickers and sparkly emanel dots.
Hope you all had a great weekend and found some inspiration and time to scrap! Cheers, Sue :) Hi CK friends today I have a all girl and all fun layout created with the gorgeous Great Expectations kit! I firstly created my background by cutting stars on my silhouette Cameo, I then cut a half diagonal 12x12 black cardstock and the other half 12x12 diagonal in the pink (from the kit), having two different colours really added visual interest. To finish off my background I added some machine stitching in a random messy fashion. As you can see my design is a grid of sorts. I added two photos and two embellishment squares. Each element I added machine stitching to add texture, foam tape to add height and dimension. I added a sub title and then my title which I used glitter alphas from a previous kit (as I didn't want too much pink). To finish off I added some stars from the sticker sheet in this kits and then a light splatter of black paint. I love this kit and it is perfect to document my daughter's current journey of growing up (too fast). Thank you for stopping by today and I will see you again soon with more created from the May kit.
Hello scrappy friends! Nicole here and today I'm sharing my first layout with the May kits! This months kit features a lot of softer colors from Crate Paper All Hear collection. I'm not going to lie, I was a little intimidated by this collection at first because I'm a bold and colorful type of scrapper. However, I find now after working with this line on a few projects that it just might be my new favorite style!!!! Along with the May main kit, I also received the color kit this month which is the beautiful water color kit from Amy Tangerine. On today's project, I used them both to create this cute layout featuring our new pup, Odie! Let me start by saying this dog has a personality that I've never seen in an animal before! He has such character and is so funny! This photo was taken on Easter Sunday and he was wearing his cute bow tie. After all the playing and visitors, he fell asleep on my dad's lap and was sleeping in no time! I just thought how he fell asleep was so stinkin cute and funny! Ok, so on to the layout! I loved the rainbow paper for the background and knew I wanted to match that with a larger rainbow. I pulled out the new Amy Tangerine watercolors from the color kit and created my own unique rainbow. Once dry, I cut each color of the rainbow out and stitched it with my sewing machine. Once adhered, I sketched and cut two clouds from some off white paper I had in my stash. I stitched it the same way. Once those two main elements were glued to my page, I stitched around the outside boarder of my page to tie it all together. Next, I added my photo, layers and only a few embellishments because I really wanted the rainbow and cloud to be the star of the show, next to the photo itself. Lastly, I used the pink Thickers in the main kit to create my title. I didn't think it really stood out, so I put it on white cardstock and then trimmed around it. I think this finishes it off nicely! Thanks so much for joining me today! I can't wait to see what you create with the May kits!! Hi Everyone! My second layout using the beautiful May, Great Expectations kit, also uses two cutfiles from the CK shop. I love the Crate Paper, All Heart collection as the colours work well with all these outdoor pics that I have! I cut a background cut file, Floral Confetti, and mounted it onto the striped paper. A wee confession here!! You will see that the cut file isn't all there and the white paper is blank at the top! We had a power outage while it was cutting, but I decided (after cursing!)I liked it that way and it gave me room for the title! I cut the 'You Go Girl' cut file in gold card, from my stash, and mounted it to the white area! Lastly, I added some fussy cut flowers, from one of the All Heart papers and stickers and other embellishments from the kit.
Don't forget the NSD challenges that are on The Clique facebook page and run all May. Happy scrapping, Sue :) Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a great National Scrapbooking Day! Remember to check out 'The Clique' on Facebook for the all the challenges that run all month. Meanwhile here is some more inspiration, using the May, Great Expectations kit and the April, Flowerset cut file, available in the CK shop. This beautiful kit is full of papers and embellishments from the Crate Paper, All Heart collection! The heart cut file was part of the very first cut file set in the CK shop. So to find it, scroll to Page 10! The other cut file, Flowerset, which I have backed with the All Heart, Wallflower, paper is from last month's release. I love all the All Heart embellishments and that come in this kit and have added some to the photo along with a cute clear sticker from Pretty Little Studio. Also, in the kit are some cute little butterfly sequins.
Hope you all have another great day scrapbooking!! Cheers, Sue :) |
