Hello everybody! Jasmin here with a Layout using the May Sketch with the May 2018 "Riga" Main Kit. Here I used an older photo of my daughter. She is 12 now and does not want to be photographed anymore. I hope that changes again :-) I like to work with Sketches. It's just fun and helps you if you have no Ideas on some Days. The letters in the kit are so beautiful, so I used some for my Layout. I often use this Technique to fill in empty spaces As you can see, I also used some Sequins too. That's it. Super fast layout. I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for stopping by :-)

Hey everyone! Kat here with you today and I am so excited to share a layout that I made with the gorgeous Riga kit! The product focus this month is the beautiful flair that came in the kit. I love all the rose gold elements in the kit, so I knew I wanted to use some of those combined with the beautiful "Enjoy Today" flair piece. I also made sure to circle it with one of the pretty puffy stickers from Pinkfresh Studio. In addition to the flair, I am also in love with the tissue paper that the CK team uses to pack their kits. So, when I saw how well it coordinated with the kit itself, I knew I wanted to incorporate it into my layout. I cut it into strips and just added it between my layers of paper. I really love the look. Here's my whole project: I hope I've manages to inspire to use your flair AND your tissue paper...gotta use it all up, you know? ;)
Thanks so much for stopping in today! Happy weekend! Hello Clique friends I hope your having a wonderful week! I often see quotes on Face Book and Instagram that make me laugh and when I saw this one I had to save it to my camera roll. When I was working out the design and theme for this layout I just had to use this one because it is so true of my life lol! So no photo as such but a layout I know I will back on and laugh remembering coffee got me through many days when running around after four kids, working etc! I have designed a 8.5x11 inch layout. I have bordered my white base paper with the CAPER paper. I have used the May Clique cut file 'Enjoy Life Love Living' for my title but I have trimmed the top two words off and only used the 'love living' part of the cut file. I then paper backed the heart in the word 'love' so it would stand out. Again I used the CAPER paper to cut my title. I printed my photo off at 3x3 inches and cut my photo ma at 3.5x3.5 inches from the INSTINCT paper. Before attaching my photo I added some machine sewing to the top and side. I used foam tape to attach my photo. I have added a chipboard corner under my photo. I always want to ensure my photo doesn't get lost in my layouts as I tend to use smaller photos so I have added a die cut bloom with machine stitching on the stem, a puffy heart ( coffee being my 'one and only' in the am lol!) a strip of paper trimmed so it looks like a piece of wash tape all finished off with a tassel bow. I added some sentiments that I created, some sequins and completed with a die cut heart. I love sequins and the mix that came with the Riga kit was so lovely, I added some to my title, adding in a random manner. Here I also added another embellishment feature here to balance up my layout, I have added puffy stickers and a word sentiment that I created. How gorgeous is this flair and so I had to make another feature of it by adding the gold leaf wreath from the die cut pack and adding another chipboard corner finished off with another word sentiment I created. I finished off with a splatter of peach and black color shine and some machine stitching around the border.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and having a look at my layout. See you next week! Hi everyone, it's Theresa here sharing a layout all about encouraging myself and hopefully giving you a bit of inspiration and encouragement too! Do you ever, in your creative life, feel like you're not good enough? Or maybe just overwhelmed or even intimidated with everything that is out there, creatively speaking? Sometimes I do, and when I feel that way, I pick up my favorite kit and get busy creating. Using the Riga kit, this is my layout I did the last time I was feeling those kinda ways. Our product focus this month is Flair, so I gathered all my Clique Kits flair together and kept them handy as I created this layout! I love using flair as a wrap-around point for twine and other fibers in my layouts, and that is exactly what I have done here. I started with basic white cardstock and this photo of myself that has all the feel of bright hopes and dreams - all the things we should all remember whenever we need to encourage ourselves. I am practicing intentionally loving myself this year, and loved how the hearts in the Pinkfresh Be You collection allow me to convey that in this layout. I cut a bunch of them out and laid them out in a vertical arrangement on this page, and backed that side of the layout using the Maggie Holmes vellum. I then wrote myself a love note - do you ever do that? This is your challenge: create a layout about yourself and write yourself a love note on that layout! I also added a few of the embellishments from the kit, because every layout needs some beautiful florals, and I even added a few splatters using the DecoArt Extreme Sheen paint. Look at all the fun texture and dimension on this page! I selected three of my favorite flair and added those to my embellishment clusters around the page, and then I tied them all together using twine. I like to wrap my twine around my fingers just a few times and then let it fall across the page. Then I use the We R Memory Keepers staple board to attach the loops and keep them in place. Notice that even though the twine appears to float around the page, it serves to lead your eye around the page from one flair to another. Something like orderly chaos, and the flair becomes the resting place for your eye at each of those points. Clever design. It was so much fun to share this happy layout with you today! Your challenge is to write a love note to yourself the next time you need a pick-up! We are so thankful for you and hope you have fun! Hello everyone! Today I have a fun mini album to share focusing on using flair! I love flair and have developed quite a stash that I tend to hoard. When we were asked to focus on flair this week, I wanted to do something that really highlighted my collection. I decided a mini album using flair to create the covers would be great as being on the covers would make the flair the star of the show. I used plain brown chipboard from my stash to create a mini album just over 4.5" by 4.5". On the front and back, I also cut chipboard to layer and create a box for the flair to sit in. I painted the chipboard black and covered the box part of the cover with patterned paper. I then selected the flair I liked from my stash that matched the May kits and better yet, I'm pretty sure all of the flair I used are from Clique Kits past kits I've collected over the past year! All in all I ended up using 32 flair on the front and back covers and I just love how the it turned out! The spine I left black as I wanted to keep the focus on the flair. In the picture above, the right side is the front cover and the left side is the back cover. I used just a single glue dot on the back of each flair to adhere them. I then used the May kits to complete the inside of the mini album using the hidden hinge binding system. On the front and back covers I did bring in some pockets from Basic Grey that I had in my stash to store extra pictures but the remainder of the album was created with the kits. In the picture below, I do have one last thing I want to complete and that is on the right side of the page. I have one of the binder clips from the TN kit holding a piece of vellum which you can see from my finger. I plan to type some journalling on that vellum with my typewriter but just have not had a chance to do that yet. On the left side, I machine stitched three pieces of paper to create layered pockets to be able to store multiple photos. I actually have pictures on each side of the cards for a total of 6 photos in the pockets. On another page I used a large brad to create a swivel effect to again be able to store multiple photos on one page. I saw Lisa Fonseca do that technique in a recent mini album she created and I thought it was brilliant and had to try it out on my mini album. I love the end result! I hope you enjoyed my project this week. I sure loved making it! I will have a full process video up on my YouTube channel in the next week with full details on dimensions of the album and how I created the box for the flair on the covers so stay tuned to my channel as that will be coming soon! (My channel is my name Kayla Webber) And lastly, make sure to stop by the Clique Kits website and social media sites tomorrow for the full reveal of the June kits! You won't want to miss out on them! Until next time!

It is a simple hole binding. It does not always have to be difficult. Here I have documented a day trip from us. I made a small bag for bills etc. Ok, at the Moment i love circles. On Layouts or Minis. aaaand Hearts!!! I punched out my photo and paper with my heart punch. For this page I used some banners. The good thing is that they are already punched. I only attached it with my yarn. Also a shaker element may not be missing :-) So, the last Page. Even if there are not many photos Mini always works.
I hope you enjoy it. Greetings from Austria. Hi, friends! Today Ksenia is here and my project for story focus. My pocket page is about may 2017. That year was a very warm spring. The kids and I took many pictures, ate ice cream and walked all day.The sun and rain for us was a joy! At work I used a favorite technique cards from one sheet of paper. It seems to me that in the project life where a lot of different photos this technique unites the entire page.I love working with PinkfreshStudio! All collections are harmonious, and high-quality materials!Hello Clique friends! I am so loving the May Riga Kit and who wouldn't with Pinkfresh Studio gorgeousness, rose gold puffy alphas, exclusive CK flairs ad so much more! Today I have a fun layout for you using a lime green and black color combo! Life is certainly not perfect and being a Virgo I stress over mess but as I get older I have learnt life will never be perfect you just need to be grateful for what you do have and as the title of my layout 'embrace the mess' (for a little while lol!) And this is the story of my layout, it is all ok and if its not today it soon will be! I went for a 8.5x11 inch layout here and chose the white with black platters paper as my base paper. I then chose a large messy scallop cut file and cut in the striped lime green paper. I have used black thread and added machine sewing to attach the scallop borders. I then chose the 'story' I wanted to create from the case of the blahs paper. A grid design was created from these squares. So it didn't look flat I have added dimension with my embellishments for example the couch I fussy cut from the square added on the black/green chequed sqaure with foam tape (and a little sewing for texture). I have added black machine sewing on each square keeping with the theme of 'messy'. The rose gold puffy alphas are just beautiful and I wanted them front and centre. I added the exclusive CK flair, die cut tab and chipboard all with rose gold accents. ![]() I went messy in my machine sewing as I thought it really was in keeping with the theme of my layout. I chose black thread again in keeping with my colour combo. Also I have foam taped some of my squares so I could embellishments underneath or to the side of the squares in my grid, this creates visual interest to your layout. ![]() I have create a secret journal square. The squares being 2x2 inch, I cut one a 2.2x2 inch so I could create a fold over tab at the top. I cut three hearts each a little larger than the other and machine sewed them together to create a 3D heart, this being perfect to add some weight to the front on the journal tab. I then added a row of machine sewing to the top, this not only reinforces the top of the tab but matches my decorative theme of black messy machine sewing. So my little grey square paper with 3D lime green heart is where I have jotted a few notes for later years! Thank you for stopping by today and I hope this layout has provided inspiration so you can create your own story using your May Riga Kit and remember if like me you don't like your hand writing a secret tab is a perfect way to still journal!
See you all again soon. Rachel X |
