Hello! Erica here to share my last project using the May 2014 Clique Kit Field Trip! I have had so much fun using this months kit which features Fancy Pants Designs As You Wish collection. This kit was perfect to document the day trip I recently had taken with my daughter! We had so much fun at the Main Street Market and we took a ton of photographs! I used up the rest of my kit and photos to create a pocket page spread to go along with the 12x12 layout I did earlier this month. The brag cards that came in this kit made it simple to create my pocket page layout. I added a few pieces of scraps as layers and off coarse some exclusive Clique Kits embellishments! The colors in this kit are beautiful and I love how they match Alyssa's pink shirt! Perfect! I hope you are all having fun with your May kits! We would love to see what you are creating so share with us on Facebook or in the Clique Kits Flickr gallery! June kits will begin shipping in a few days and you are all going to love these kits! To subscribe to Clique Kits please click here! Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you all have a wonderful day. ![]() Our June 2014 kit Show & Tell is available for single purchase in the Clique Kits Shop here!

Today I want to share a few cards I created with the May kit - Field Trip. I have two short tutorials as well showing how I put two of the cards together. There will be lots of pictures so lets get started! Shaker cards have been around for quite some time now. I just want to show you how I made this particular shaker card. The next step-by-step is shorter. I just want to show you the elements I picked for a journal card to make it my own. As you see below, I set out some embellishments that I considered using on the card and they played around with where I wanted to place these elements. Working with different shapes and sizes. I loved how many journal cards came with the May kit! So of course I found ways to use them. I used them creating journal cards as well as cards. I also love to make cards with scraps of the kit. The card below I used a Studio Calico Acetate Sheet to help enhance the pieces of this kit I found laying around. I paired it with a bubble word (which will be available in the Clique Kits store soon!) There you have it! There are so many uses for the bits and pieces of your kits as well and uses for journal cards to really make them your own and fit your projects and personality! Lacey Before you go! Here is a quick view into our June kit - Show & Tell! June subscriptions still available. The kit will go into our shop tomorrow to be purchased as a single kit.
Hey all! It's Jody on the blog today and it's a beautiful day here in Wisconsin, finally!! This warmer Spring weather definitely makes me giddy and eager to get outside with our girls. But before I do, I'm happy to be sharing another fun layout with our May kit, Field Trip. Today, I used this fabulous You Are My World paper from Fancy Pants. These types of papers are great because your title is always there for you to design around it. This is my last full 12x12 sheet from this kit so now I'm starting to work with smaller pieces and scraps. I'm also working on some cards to send to my Girl Scout troop next week. We had our last meeting for the school year this week and I wanted to send them a little something special to thank them for being so awesome! I'll share those with you next week :) For today, I used my punches on the fabulous Fancy Pants gold foil paper! I recently purchased a Silhouette Portrait but still need to get it set up!! I know, I know .... it's on my list to day this weekend so I can finally cut Lacey's fabulous custom cut files!! These are my favorites punches by far, which I'm sure you've noticed because I use them often. Next, I fussy cut around the chevrons to create the bottom boarder to my Day Trip 4x6" Clique Kit printable. This helped to ground the larger element so it didn't look like it was just floating in space there. I trimmed the bottom off one of the journaling cards and added it along the bottom for some journaling too. I also used lots of foam adhesive throughout this layout from Scrapbook Adhesives. This is my go-to foam adhesive, I just love it! Here's a little tip for when you're cutting your banner shapes, like the ones at the right side of my photo. You can use the left over triangle pieces from the middle as more page elements like I did below. I used them as arrows to help draw your attention down to my photo. I added some additional cuteness but layering a cork chevron shape right on top of the triangles. I used more Scrapbook Adhesives foam squares for the triangles and gold clouds and Aleene's Tacky Glue for the cork chevrons. Thank you for joining me today! We'd love to see what you create with our kits and currently have a few more open subscriptions starting in June!! As a Clique Kits member, you'll be in our Facebook private Clique, have access to our private Honor Society website page, private forum, early kit reveals and more! Have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day Weekend everyone! ~ Jody Welcome to the May Pep Rally! We are so excited to be sharing projects made with our May kit-Field Trip. This kit's designer in the spotlight was Jodi Sanford of Fancy Pants Designs and the collection that was dominant in the kit was As You Wish. In case you missed it, Clique Kits posted this feature about Jodi Sanford. It was such a treat to get to know the woman behind the supplies we were using and loving this month! We were also speechless to find out that Clique Kits was featured in the Fancy Pants Designs May Newsletter! Finally, we were so honored to have Sophie Sim Lawrence as our Student of the Month (Guest Designer) all month long! The Clique Kits gals have to give her a HUGE thanks and shout out for the wonderful work she did with our kit. While you are on her blog for the hop today, please check out her previous post using Field Trip and all of the wonderful inspiration you will find there! And now for the Honor Society! Last month we were amazed at the talented group we have in our Clique! Subscribers who blog are always welcome in the Honor Society-the members who participate in our monthly blog shares that is! What could be better than doing what you love, and earning free stuff? Maybe sharing with friends? Or as we like to say: Click.Connect.Create. This months challenge was to be inspired by the phrase Be Brave Think of this song and show or tell us something inspired by you or someone you scrapbook about/or are giving a card/tag/gift to: feeling the fear and facing it anyway, taking a chance, however big or small! We hope that you enjoy our blog share, and please leave comments, follow our blog, and like us on Facebook if you haven't already! We will randomly select someone who has done all of the above from the comments to win the adorable acrylic stamp set Wish you were here from Lawn Fawn and a roll of green chevron washi tape! We also have a prize for our challenge winner this month-a $10 school store credit! There is a lot to choose from with our school store stocking extras for both the June monthly kit Show and Tell AND the Summer School kit Clique into Summer. We will send a reminder by email so those with honor credits can let us know if they would like to have anything shipped with their June kit! Here are a couple of last reminders:

One thing I love about the May kit, Field Trip, is the journal cards that coordinate. I loved using them as elements on my layouts and incorporating them into the background, but as well as using them as titles. In this layout, I used two journal cards, one 4x6 and one 3x4. I complimented the cards with pattern paper background, chevron strip and I ADORE the gold paper that was in the kit. I used an embossing folder to get the results of the camera. This paper is amazing to emboss. I also used some of the digital printables to add more layers to my layout. Thanks for stopping by today! We have lots of fun events happening in the next few weeks, including the May Kit blog share tomorrow, May 21st (start here on the Clique Kits blog), sneak peeks and full kit reveal of our June kit - Show & Tell, we opened up subscriptions for June, there are still a few left so sign-up today before you miss out, and finally we are holding a summer class - Clique Into Summer! We have one kit left and lots of great activities and lessons planned for the summer! Thanks for joining me today! Happy Scrapping!
Lacey First, I thought I would tease you with some photo sneaks from our June Kit Show & Tell. The Clique Kits gals LOVE color…in case you haven't noticed. The Clique Kits philosophy is to plan our kits around a MUST HAVE designer collection and this kit is no exception... except that we decided TWO collections that harmonize perfectly with each other would be twice the fun! To mix it up even more for June, I thought you might enjoy a peek at some work behind the scenes at Clique Kits: Here we have a glimpse at Lacey checking over the exclusive "Spelling Words" Cut-Aparts she designed for Show & Tell. I can't wait to see more, can you? And on the right is a peek at Jody's assembly line of sequins for an exclusive mixture of colors and shapes perfect for the kit! Since we don't want to give it all away before the full reveal, I will have to stop there before someone calls a spoiler alert on me! Don't forget to mark your calendar for the monthly Pep Rally! This Wednesday, May 21st the Clique Kits gals, our Student of the month Sophie Lawrence, and our Honor Society will be sharing projects we have made with the May Kit Field Trip. It will be so much fun to see how everyone interprets this month's challenge theme, 'Be Brave' and of course there will be prizes! If you are a subscriber who blogs , why not join us and earn some product credits while doing what you love? All the details are right here. If you are not a subscriber yet, what are you waiting for? Unlike in April and May when we sold out right away, we increased our supply to meet the demand and would love to have you make it in to one of the few remaining slots! You can put your name on it now right here. Read all about the perks of becoming a member of the Clique right here. Speaking of perks, the Clique into Summer workshop is FREE to subscribers! Subscribe before May 28th and you will be a part of the workshop at no extra cost. Summer school kits are dwindling down and likely not last until the end of May so hurry! When they are gone, this limited edition kit will be gone forever! See y'all real soon! Click.Connect.Create. -xGia Hello!! Jody here today with a mask and some misting! First off, I started with the beautiful dark woodgrain paper from Fancy Pants. I've been itching to do some misting lately so I took out my Studio Calico Mr. Huey's white spray ink. I love Mr. Huey's because the ink is opaque and provides a fabulous contrast on your layouts, just like in my layout below! I've had this sweet photo of 2 of our girls in mind to scrap for a long time and this woodgrain paper was the perfect fit! The photo was taken on the dock of the Fox River in our little town. My hubby, Brad, works the boat patrol during the summers and our girls I brought him dinner on this particular night. There's something so calming about being near the water. Ahhhh.. summer days! To create my misted background, I used a 6" gold foil doily as my mask and then actually used the same doily right on the layout after I dried it off with a paper towel. I wanted the wood grain and misting to be very visible on the majority of my layout, so I stuck with smaller elements to frame my 4x4" Instagram picture, such as the several of our Clique Kits exclusive printables & flair, Fancy Pants journaling cards, May Arts Burlap String and the awesome hand punched map paper confetti. Your layout doesn't necessarily have to be nautical or travel themed in order to incorporate certain elements. Our girls were just near the water and I felt these elements still worked very well. I also used the May Arts Natural Burlap String to create a little circle of rope at the bottom right of my layout. This was symbolic of the boat's rope that Brad used to tie the boat to the dock. I also used the burlap string to tie around my title journaling card for some added texture. There are some close ups of my layout. You can see several of the little exclusive printables peaking out from behind my photo and the gold foil doily. I printed my printables out onto glossy photo paper, which turned out fabulous!! I used an aqua colored fine point Sharpie marker to write my journaling right onto my exclusive printable tag. Try printing out your Clique Kits printables onto a variety of paper types such as vellum (like Erica did in THIS POST), cardstock, photo paper, linen paper, and more!! We'd love to hear about something you printed yours out on, so please feel free to share! Here's a much closer look at my gold foil doily masking element and the misting. I wasn't shy about spraying my paper at all. I just placed my gold foil doily right onto my paper and gave my Mr. Huey's a good push down onto the spray nozzle!! I think the key to utilizing any mask is to let the ink dry on the paper for a few minutes before you actually move your mask off of your project. After I let mine dry, I carefully removed my 6" gold foil doily and dried it with a paper towel. Then, it became one of my page embellishments! Another fun way to create more page elements from the products in your kit is to USE YOUR TOOLS! Check out the cute pink journaling card that serves as my title below. I used a Martha Stewart heart punch along the bottom, then added that heart to the other side of my photo, holding the 'rope'. That fun negative heart space was the perfect spot to add another Clique Kit's hand punched anchor shape from map paper. It's hard to believe that May is already half over, say it ain't so!!! Before we know it summer vacation will be upon us along with warmer weather and more sunshine!! June is the perfect time to join our Clique by subscribing to our monthly kits!! We have opened up additional subscriptions for June and we have one with YOUR name it! Just go here to subscribe today!! SUBSCRIBE ME NOW!
Thank you so much for spending your time with me today! I hope you'll try out some misting on your next scrapbooking project. Until next time my friends, happy scrappin'!! ~ Jody Happy Thursday everyone! Erica here with you today to share a mini album I created using the May 2014 Clique Kit "Field Trip". Last weekend my daughter and I spent the day afternoon together at the Urban Farmgirl Main Street Market. We walked around the Victorian Village Grounds and visited over 70 vendor booths! So many vintage and unique items, baked goods, art and so much more! We had so much fun and the weather was perfect! We also signed up to take a mixed media class with the amazing Courtney Walsh from the The Studio. Alyssa had the best time ever at the art class and I wanted to be able to document this day for her and create a mini album that she could keep and share with others! I used the beautiful pink cardstock that comes in the kit as the base of my album. I cut the paper in half creating two pieces that measured 6x12. Next I scored each piece at 4" and 8" and attached the end of one of the pieces to the front of the other to create an accordion style album. I made sure to only add adhesive to the sides and the bottom so that it would create a pocket at the top. This is a great place to add extra tags, photos and memorabilia. Once this was complete all there was left to do was add some paper, photos and embellishments! Here are the photos of my completed mini album! Everything used to create my mini album came from the May 2014 kit except for some manila tags. I made good use of the exclusive Clique Kits printables and printed them off on both white cardstock and vellum! If you have not yet printed them on vellum I highly recommend it! You do not have to change any printer settings just keep it at plain paper and print! They turn out fabulous! I also used the gold paper from Fancy Pants Designs to cut out the exclusive cut files! In the photo above you can see where the two pieces of cardstock are attached and how I used that "pocket" to store some tags and a piece of the map from the Main Street Market. Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my mini album. If you have any questions on how I created this album please just leave me a comment below. I will be doing a video very soon on creating quick and easy mini albums so make sure to subscribe to the Clique Kits YouTube Channel. Have a fabulous day!
Stay Gold…(This is) a page dedicated to my son, Seth. All about staying gold - a phrase I really love. I like how the gold foil paper in the kit lends so well to the theme of my LO. I used some Sizzix alphabet dies to cut the word "gold", layered the letters three times over to give it some dimension. Another aspect which I had fun with was creating holes through all the triangle elements on the page. Instead of stitching, I left the holes as it, for additional texture.-- Sophie Wheeeelz... Chin Up Card... ![]() Thank you so much for sharing these three amazing projects with the Clique Sophie! It is obvious from your narrative that you enjoyed working with Field Trip and it shows in every tiny detail of your layouts and card. In her bio, Sophie mentioned that she had a little side hobby of designing pop-up cards and it was super fun to see her creativity and ingenuity in action! As the kit packer of the month, I was tickled to see that Sophie also actually used some of the little extras in the thank you gift in the kit like that little smiley emoticon sticker and the "Like" tab. She even used the packaging twine! To see more of Sophie's work, visit her blog and join us next Wednesday for the Pep Rally-our subscriber Blog Share of the month!
