Hello CK friends! Donna here back with a new project using the April "Full Bloom" kit featuring Vicki Boutin's Kaleidoscope collection. I made a scrapbook layout with a little bit of mixed media background and lots of fussy cutting. I splattered a mixture of watercolors and spray mists to create the background. Then adhered 2 pieces of papers horizontally and curled the edges. I used different thickness of foam tape to adhere the fussy cut pieces to vary the height or dimension. Here is the process video you can watch. I hope you liked my project today. Thanks for dropping by and happy crafting.
See you all next time! I am loving the bright colours in this month's kit, Full Bloom. In today's layout I have used a striking Heidi Swapp paper and embellishments from Vicki Boutin. I started by cutting the Heidi Swapp Colour Fresh paper to a size that would take your eye to the photo without overpowering it. I cut the Tropical Leaves Cut file, available in the CK shop, backing it with bits of leftover papers in the kit.Once I had my paper cut and cut file ready I placed them with the photo on the page and decided I needed a little extra. So I added some ink splashes and splatters. Finally I fussy cut some butterflies from a VB paper and added VB word stickers. I hope you are enjoying the inspiration this month from this awesome kit.
Cheers, Sue Hello crafty friends! Rita here again with 2 new projects, using the April Kit. This down below is the first one I've made. I used the barcode paper strips from the 12x12 papers, some stickers from the Vicki Boutin Sticker sheet, some Distress Ink and a little mist for the background (on the right page). I cut my photo also in strips and only decorated it with some stickers. On the left side I wrote some journaling and added the date with a stamp. This is a super fast way to document your memories. And it's so much fun! My second layout was easy and fast to make aswell! The only preparation I had to make was cutting the Cut File. I used the Flower Field Digital Cut File by Clique Kits. For the background I combined some Vicki Boutin and Heidi Swapp papers from the Kit. Then I just needed to add my polaroid photo and some alpha stickers for the title. Voilà! I hope you feel inspired today. Don't forget to share your projects in the Clique on Facebook or on Instagram with the hashtag #cliquekits. We love to see what you create! Happy crafting and thanks for stopping by!
Hi all Rachel here! Here is my third share using the gorgeous April kit Fill Bloom. As soon as I saw the CK exclusive cut file by Gia You & Me I had to use it and this cut file inspired my layout. I used a pre made mixed media background paper from the VB new collection. As the cut file was going to be my feature I re sized it to about 8x8 inches and cut it in black.I chose to paper back only two of the letters and the ampersand. I then added flowers from the sticker sheet and ephemera pack, some with foam tape to add dimension. I paper backed the leaves of the cut file to add even more contrast. To finish off I added some of the beautiful butterflies. Here are some close up photos to see how I placed my embellishments on an around the cut file. I used a black and white photo as my layout was so colourful, I adhered it with foam tape 'framing' it by adding a tab to the top, one of the cute birds to the left finished off with a word sentiment sticker. I added some machine stitching to some of my elements such as the insta camera.
And there you have it one bright and cheerful layout. Make sure you download the free exclusive CK cut file. Thank you for stopping by today and see you again soon. Hi friends! Nicole here and today I have another layout to share with you using the April "Full Bloom" Main kit as well as a few of the April add ons. I'm also featuring some mixed media on my background using a few spray mists from my stash! ![]() I love all of the bright colors in this months kit! For this project, I chose to use the Heidi Swapp Color Fresh paper and cut a large section of it out. I wanted the piece that had all of the color blocks so I can coordinate the colors with the flowers. The flowers that I used on today's layout are a part of this months cut file! I cut a few different sizes out. I backed only the larger flowers with matching Vicki Boutin papers and kept the smaller ones just the shape itself. For my background, I layered yellow, pink and teal spray mists with water to create all the colorful splatters. I added in my title with the white alpha stickers from the main kit and also Vicki Boutin's Thickers. I also used two Elle's Studio tags to the left of my photo to coordinate with the black and white stripes of the background. Lastly, I added the branding strip from that same 12x12 paper, another Elle's Studio tag and a small flower to the bottom of my page as well as my journaling. And for a final pop of color, I used the green thread included in the main kit to do a bit of accent stitching at the top of my page. Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope I've inspired you to create something beautiful! Hello, CK friends! It's Donna here again back with a new project using the April kit "Full Bloom" featuring Vicki Boutin's Kaleidoscope collection. This time, I used it to create a TN spread. I used both the Main and TN kits as well as the February Color Kit to create this layout. I started with trimming two 6 x 8 paper to size and adhered to the TN page. I used a corner punch to round the top-bottom outer corners of the 6 x 8 papers. Then I splattered diluted Prima Marketing concentrated watercolors onto the background as well as a Heidi Swapp black spray mist. To create the top most part of the left page, I cut the strip pattern and folded one edge of each strip. Then I tucked ephemera/die cut pieces under the photo mounted with foam tape. I cut the banners and large flower die cuts in half so I can use them both on the pages. I love the puffy stickers in the April kit. It's great for creating titles like this one. I also fussy cut some leaves and butterflies from one of the 12 x 12 papers. Love how the mixture of colors complement each other. That's all from me today. I hope you liked this TN spread as much as I do. Thank you for dropping by and see you all on my next post!
Happy crafting, Hi everyone and happy Easter. Today I show you my last Layout created with the April Kit. For this I was inspired by the patterned paper from the Paper Pad. I cut it apart and glued it a bit offset on my cardstock. Then I punched out my picture circularly and taped it on the paper tips. Then I decorated it a bit. I do not use a lot of embelishements and stickers because the background is already an eyecatcher... Thanks for stopping by.
Hello, CK friends! Donna here with a new scrapbook layout using the April kit "Full Bloom" featuring Vicki Boutin's Kaleidoscope collection. I started with LOOK UP paper as my background. I placed my photo over a doily and adhered to the upper left side of the background with foam tape for dimension. Then, I fussy cut some flowers from FLOWER SHOP paper. I used foam tapes with different thickness to give the fussy cut flowers different heights. I placed this around the photo. From there, I started embellishing with stickers and ephemera. Curling the edges of some of the ephemera pieces added interesting texture to the layout. I used both liquid adhesive and foam tape to adhere these pieces. Following the curve of the banner, I created movement by placing the embellishments in a curve. The fussy cut butterflies were placed with movement in mind as well. I love how everything is colorful, vibrant and simple at the same time. The mixture of black and white elements complemented the colorful elements very well and created an interesting and balanced overall look. I hope you liked my project today and hope to see you soon again on my next post. Thanks for dropping by and have a crafty weekend!
