Happy Thursday everyone! Today it is all about the story using the wonderful April Winter Park Kit. Recently my 19 year old daughter moved out of home, being my first born this was a 'big' moment and one I needed to document. I use my TN in a similar way as a diary and when I want to document something important or significant. I love this photo of my daughter and I holding hands and thought it perfect to document what I wanted to say. The Winter Park kit is so beautiful and classy! I wanted the rose paper (Goldenrod) to be a feature in its self and hence why I kept this page of my TN simple and clean. I cut it and then added machine sewing around the edges. I added a strip of the reverse of the Goldenrod paper. I foam taped the sticker golf foiled heart to the top go my page and added the 'LOVE' paper piece which I also added some machine stitching before attaching. I added SHINE with the FOIL chipboard thickers which stand out beautifully! ![]() I fussy cut a rose cluster from the remaining Goldenrod paper. I then used word and typed my journalling. I put a strip of the Royal paper into my printer for my story which I cut into strips so I could add to my second TN spread in a visually interesting way. I used the Royal paper for my second page but only machine stitched the bottom of the page and at the edge of the rose. I added my beautiful photo and finished off with the butterfly sticker and 'remember this' which is cut from the Memorable paper (the camera journal). To finish off I splattered lightly some black colour shine. How beautiful are these colours and patterns together! Here are some close up photos for you: I do hope this has inspired you to tell your story using your Winter Park kit!
Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful week. Rachel X

We decided to feature Inna's Be You collection this May, along with products from the Case of the Blahs and Let Your Heart Decide collections to round out the kits. We know you will love the soft, pretty color palette with coral, turquoise, and all of the beautiful rose gold! You can find the full reveal of Clique Kits Riga Main and Traveler's Notebook kits on the kit pages. You will also want to stop by the Clique Kits shop and check the May release section for lots of products to add to your box that coordinate with Riga. I know that you will love the May kits as much as we do! I will leave you with a few sneaks of some of my upcoming posts.
Hello lovelies, Theresa here today to share a layout featuring the April Butterfly Cut File! As soon as I saw this beautiful file I knew I had to use it! Take a peek at what I did with it. I have a favorite project I like to create for, and it is called Things I Need to Hear. I started this project a few years ago as a way to create layouts about myself, using selfies, and to remind myself of the things my Mom might say to me, if she were still alive. I also hope one day our daughters will read these affirmations in *my voice* as reminders to them! So this layout is for that project, using a selfie I took in March of this year. I have titled it Embrace All That You Are and journaled about how people will try to tell you all kinds of not nice things, but don't believe them Embrace all that you are! Cut files are full of possibilities, aren't they? My favorite thing to do with them is to paint them! And oh my word, the Clique Kits shop has a most beautiful paint you are going to want to grab right away. It's the DecoArt Metallic Paint in Rose Gold. Once I cut my butterflies out and layered them over my patterned paper, I arranged my embellishments and titles on the page, and then grabbed my paint brush. This is so easy to do, even if you don't feel very *painterly* because all I did was echo the lines of the cut file using simple brush strokes and dots! I used the very tiniest paint brush I had to create the dots, but you could also use the end of your brush as well. Once I had painted my butterflies, I wanted to repeat the dots around the page as well. I have placed my title in a circle around the page, and so it seemed natural to echo the title and add a few more dotted lines that lead your eye directly to my photo. I also used the dots from the i's and j's in the Maggie Holmes alphabet pack to add a bit of dimension to the butterflies, just in their centers. I added just a few embellishments, some are from the April Winter Park kit and some are from the Traveler's Notebook kit. I absolutely adore the deer, so she is layered on top of a rose, and the vellum bird directs your eye into the photo as well from the other side. Notice how everything is placed so carefully to lead your eye right into the photo on this page, from the title, the bird, the pretty deer, and the painted dots. This has been so much fun to create and share with you! Thanks for joining me! Have you ever painted your cut files before? I hope this will inspire you to use them in new ways!

It's Heather Doolittle back again with another fun project to share that I made using the April "Winter Park" kit. This kit has so many fun elements in it, one of them being the adorable exclusive flair designed by Maryam Perez! I love the texture that flair buttons give to my projects. It helps my pages to not be so flat! For this layout, I decided to cut out some of the little blocks from the cut-apart sheet included in the kit and collage them together with some of the stickers and of course the flair. I kind of used a loose grid format for the design of my page. I like using lots of different shapes and embellishments, but I also like to keep some structure on my projects. The flair button adds the perfect texture to the page. I had layered some stickers and papers, but there was no dimension other than those layers. So, adding the flair was the perfect embellishment to make my page stand out. I felt like my loose grid collage was just floating on the page, so I grounded it by adding a couple of different patterned papers from the kit to the bottom of the layout. This ended up being the perfect way to add some more color to the page but without making it too crazy! Thanks for joining me today! I hope you're inspired to use those awesome exclusive flair designs from Clique Kits on your next project! ![]() Hello, it´s Jasmin here with my first Project with the amazing Winter Park Kit. For the Story Focus, I made a mini album to document the growth of our new family members. It was so much fun and so easy to do and certainly will not be my last. Our bunnies are now 16 weeks old and it's as exciting as they changed their character. Our girl was scared of us for the first 2 weeks and now she is dearest. He was always curious and comfortable. For the base, I folded Cardstock once in half and sewed my pages and Project Life Page Protectors or attached it with Washi Tape. Easy Peasy. With the wrapping paper sent by the kit I made a bage for my Tag. And i am so in love with this bunny as made for my album. I also used a Transparent Paper and embellished it with the stickers. That's it. I hope I could inspire you to make your own.
Creative greetings :-) Hello everyone! Ksenia here with a first creation using the digital Collection This is Us by Gia Lau. I will share with you my project for story focus. I made 2 layouts in the project life album about the birthday of my eldest daughter. In March 15th she turned 6 years old. On my first page, I talk about the birthday girl's morning with a delicious dessert. On the second page, I captured the celebration with her friend and younger sister. After an hour of jumping on the trampoline, they lay down to rest. Lol I used in my project digital Collection This is Us and CK_Jul17_StoreCuts-Happiness! It was perfect for me to illustrate the story.
Hi friends, it's Theresa here! This week is Story Focus on the Clique Kits blog, and I wanted to share with you a layout that actually uses product to tell its story. This is the layout I am sharing today. I am using the April Winter Park kit and have chosen the die cut ephemera and printables sheet to help tell the story of this layout. Let me tell you about how this layout evolved! Back in 2015 we took a Spring Break trip to Savannah, GA, and St. Simons Island GA, and I had these adorable photos of our girls at the beach that week. I wanted to create a layout that tells the story of that visit, and all the sights, sounds, and the beauty of the southern states we experienced. My photos are specifically from the beach, but the die cut house from the Winter Park kit reminds me of the Antebellum homes in Savannah. The photos had been printed at a smaller size, 2x3, so I decided to pull all tags from the kit and any other die cuts that were close to that size to use on the layout. Sometimes the best way to display smaller embellishments is in a grid, and so that is what I did here. Even though there is lots to see on the page, the grid keeps everything orderly. I fit each of the photos, die cuts, and tags almost like a puzzle into the design of the layout, and then each piece becomes like a home base for other little bits and bobs. I've layered stickers, alphabet, and flair onto each piece. Some of the embellishments I have sewn down using my machine, to add a bit of texture to the layout. I love repeating elements in my layouts, and since I had sewn some of the tags, I also gave them bows using a really thick, rough twine I had on hand. All of these layers and textures and colors remind me so much of Savannah and St. Simons Island. Notice how I've allowed several elements to "fall off" the page on the top, bottom, and right hand side. This is part of the visual flow of the page where the elements of the layout extend beyond the edges and become part of the background itself. There is so much to see and experience on this layout, just like in Savannah. I love how product can carry the feelings from a place right onto the layout. It was such fun sharing this layout with you! I hope you have been inspired to use products on your layout to tell your story as well!
Hello! It's Heather Doolittle here with my very first project for Clique Kits! I'm so excited to join the amazing team and work with the beautiful Clique Kits. Today, I am sharing a traveler's notebook spread that I made about our dog, Daisy. She is still in the puppy stage so I wanted to document some of the things that she loves right now because in the future it might not be the same! I cut a couple of the 12x12 patterned papers down to fit the traveler's notebook spread pages to begin. I usually keep my backgrounds blank, so I thought I would challenge myself this time! To add some visual interest, I cut the left pattern to fill up only two thirds of the page. This makes your eye go directly to the little journaling cluster. I like keeping my TN spreads pretty flat so my notebooks don't flag open. I used the papers, stickers, and diecuts from the April Winter Park kit to make this page (basically just leaving the bulky items out). I also added in some of the printable pieces that Maryam designed-- I could seriously use all of them I love them so much! I used some alphabet stickers from my stash to make the title and then added some machine stitching and black paint splatters to finish it off! I hope you have enjoyed reading a little but about this page I made in my traveler's notebook. I can't wait to share more projects with you!
