Hello Clique friends! Marcia Dehn-Nix here. I am back with another Clique Kits layout I created using the gorgeous February Base kit called Wonderful World. It's full of Vicki Boutin Let's Wander, Heidi Swapp ArtWalk and Storyline, and gorgeous papers from a German artist Alexandra Renke. This layout is very different from my first outdoor layout. I wanted to use pattern paper from Alexandra Renke and selected this pretty pink watercolor as my background page. I could not bring myself to cut any of her pattern papers yet! But they work amazing as background papers and then you can see just how gorgeous they are. I let the paper lead my design. There are 2 main watercolor areas on this background paper, one on the right and a smaller one on the left. I thought I would cluster my photo on the left near the edge and place this beautiful butterfly heart cut file on the right side overlapping the edge. I used the pink ombre pattern paper from the Heidi Swapp Storyline collection to cut out the heart. I love the pink on pink tones! I fussy cut the floral cluster and smaller blue flowers from the Vicki Boutin pattern paper. The title came from my stash and is from the PinkFresh Studios Joyful Day collection to keep to the pink color scheme. The Vicki Boutin Let's Wander ephemera die cuts have a few pink pieces like these butterflies and floral ephemera pieces. I couldn't resist adding this leaf stem too. Look at that gorgeous wood veneer pink butterfly! I'm swooning over them!! Here is a closer look at that floral cluster created with fussy cut flowers, ephemera, and a pretty bow. Want to see how this layout came together, check out my process video ... https://youtu.be/OV75pLEO_w0 Ok, now it's time for you to play along... I created a sketch based on my layout. Create a layout or card based on the sketch. Make it your own. Change the shapes to be whatever you like. The heart could be a star instead. The flowers could be changed to hexagons. Whatever inspires you! Thanks so much for stopping by! This kit is available for purchase. Be sure to check out the Clique store for more finds. They also carry other fabulous scrapping supplies!

![]() My name is Giorgia Rossini. I'm a Radiation Technologist with a huge passion for arts and crafts: I work in Radiation Therapy, so I really need my "happy place" in my craft room. It helps me to feel better after a day in the hospital. I've been married for 5 years, and I have a little baby girl, Isabella. I started scrapbooking about 10 years ago to preserve my memories, and since then I can't stop! I love the preserving memories part of it but also the creative part of it: playing with papers and all the cute embellishments make me happy! I love making layouts, mini album and cards. My style is certainly colorful: I love to mix patterned papers! CK: First of all, please share the places our readers and fans can find you on the web and social
media! Giorgia: Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/giorgiarossiniscrap/ Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/giorgia.rossini.82 Blog: http://www.giorgiarossini.com/ About your process… CK: Clique Kits is obviously in love with your work. Can you tell us a little about your inspiration and your creative process? Giorgia: I am in love with patterned papers, they are my obsession! I also never throw away even the tiniest piece of paper scrap, I preserve them for future projects. My projects are almost all made with a mix of papers. I also love to machine sew on my projects. CK: What are your ideal surroundings when you are designing? Giorgia: Location: my craft room Listening to: I love all kind of music (if you want to try listening some Italian songs I can suggest Subsonica and Marco Mengoni, two of my favorites!) Snacking on: I don’t eat while crafting. Sometimes I drink tea. Tools within arm’s reach: trimmer, fussy cutting scissors, sewing machine People/things nearby: nobody, I am so lucky to have a whole floor in my house only for me! Other: I scrap standing, I almost never sit while scrapping. CK: What is the hardest thing for paper crafters in your country? What is the best thing? Giorgia: Till some years ago we didn’t have many stores to buy scrapbooking products but now they are opening, but still it is hard to find all the products you have in the US. The best thing is an association, called ASI (Associazione Scrappers Italia), that organizes crops and events all over the country to promote scrapbooking and have fun together. It is always a pleasure to go to these meetings, learning new techniques and scrap! CK: Do you have a “go to” … color palette? Nope, I love to mix colors! embellishment? Chipboard stickers and puffy stickers brand you love? Pebbles, Pink Paislee, Crate Paper Tool you use all the time? Sewing machine About your history… CK: What was your earliest success as an artist? Giorgia: In 2014 I was chosen for the very first time for a company Design Team, an important American brand, Paper House Production! It was a big satisfaction and I will forever be thankful to those guys for choosing me and made me grow as scrapper. CK: How did you start as a paper-crafter and designer? Giorgia: I always had a great passion for arts and crafts: I experimented a lot before falling in love with scrapbooking (I paint, I made jewelry, I created with felt…) Then more than 10 years ago, I don’t remember how, I started scrapbooking: at that time scrapbooking wasn’t popular in my country and I remember reading a lot of international blogs, because here in Italy there were only few scrappers. CK: What was your very first paper crafting memory? Giorgia: I created an album for a friend after our trip to Cuba and I made another one for my fiancé (now my husband). They were both quite ugly, made mainly with recycled items (there weren’t physical shops near me and also online shops were a rarity then) but I enjoyed the process so much and since then I never stopped! About you currently… CK: What have you been doing lately? Giorgia: Watching on TV: I watch a lot of TV series. The last one was Better call Saul. Buying: clothes for my daughter Isabella who is 15 months. Visiting: the last place I visited was Tokyo, more than 2 years ago. Then I was pregnant, then the baby, then the quarantine… I hope to be able to start travelling again soon, because me and hubby love to travel, we visited many countries and we want to visit many more! Using in artwork: sewing machine on almost every project Wishing for: coronavirus stopping (I am a radiation technologist and I am having really tough days lately…) CK: Something that most people do not know about you… Giorgia: I am afraid of horses. About your country… CK: What are some must see cities, landmarks, or locations in your country? Giorgia: Italy is full of beautiful cities and places to visit. Of course every one knows Rome, Venice, Florence, Naples but I want to invite you discover my beautiful region, Le Marche, where you can find medieval little cities, beautiful beaches (I live by Conero Riviera, a dream place!), lovely countryside… I could write for days about my beautiful country! Italy is a gem and I hope you can visit it soon safely. CK: Are there any national or cultural traditions unique to where you live you can share? Giorgia: Here we have a culinary specialty: Moscioli. They are selvatic mussels from Portonovo. If you come here try Spaghetti with Moscioli and you will thank me! Thanks so much for allowing The Clique to get to know you better! Hello to everyone at Clique Kits, I am Giorgia from Italy and I am really excited to share my first project as Guest Designer for the month of March. We are having tough days in Italy (and all over the world) and I really need a happy pause from all the darkness and sadness… Clique Kits helped me, surrounding me with all the pretty colors of their kits! For the Italian Passport, Gia decided to cooperate with an Italian brand that I love, Creative Studio: in the shop you can find an awesome main kit and an add-ons kit with items from this brand. I worked with them both and also added some elements from Pinkfresh Studio “my favorite story” add ons kit to create this layout. I started by drawing and hand cutting a big heart out of Creative Studio woodgrain paper: I love this paper a lot. In it there is a phrase written in Italian: “hai colorato la mia vita” – you colored my life… it was just perfect for the picture of me and my daughter Isabella I wanted to use! I glued the heart on another Creative Studio paper from the kit and then arranged die-cut flowers from Pinkfresh Studio “my favorite story” add ons kit all around the heart shape. I used my sewing machine with a grey thread to sew all around the heart to add texture, then I added colored vellum leaves and branches die cuts. I used Creative Studio “sei così speciale” die cut as title (it means “you are so special.”) I decorated with acrylic pieces (I am in love with those cute hedgehogs, they remind me of me and my baby Bella!), a badge and die-cuts from Creative Studio add-ons kit, Creative Studio main kit and puffy stickers from Pinkfresh Studio “my favorite story” add ons kit. I really loved creating this layout and I hope it will inspire you! To create this layout I used this products: International Series | My Brilliant Friend | Creative Studio | Italy International Series Add-On Kit | Lila & Elena Embellishments | Creative Studio | Italy Add On Kit | My Favorite Story: Sequel | Pinkfresh Studio Hello Clique friends! Marcia here, I am so excited to be a passport guest designer for Clique Kits. Some of you might remember that I designed for Clique Kits for 2 years when they first started out. I loved the kits then and I have to say they are still just as awesome! I received the February Base kit called Wonderful World. It's full of Vicki Boutin Let's Wander, Heidi Swapp ArtWalk and Storyline, and gorgeous papers from a German artist Alexandra Renke. You can see a kit unboxing here... https://youtu.be/pPXT-KOrEPs I couldn't wait to dig in! I pulled out some vacation photos and decided on one of my daughter on a hiking trip to Zion National Park in Utah. The Clique store also has digital cut files you can download. This cut file was FREE and is perfect with this kit! ![]() These wood veneer butterflies from the kit are so pretty! The background paper is one from Heidi Swapp ArtWalk. I used the Pretty Little Studios alphas for my subtitle the Narrows placing it on top of a journal spot cut out from the Heidi Swapp Storyline collection. The Vicki Boutin Let's Wander ephemera die cuts are perfect for travel pages. I found an Explore sticker on the Heidi Swapp sticker sheet to layer here too. Here is a closer look at my cut file title. I created a shadow effect by layering kraft cardstock on top of a darker green cardstock, offsetting it slightly. Some ink on the edges gives it more dimension as well. I layered more Vicki Boutin ephemera pieces here and another Heidi Swapp phrase sticker; Good For The Soul. Want to see how this layout came together, check out my process video ...
