Amazing | Sarah Wyles

Good morning everyone! Is everyone happy its Friday!? I am! Well I wanted to pop on this morning and share a new layout with you that I made using the Happy Heart Sampler kit from Clique kits. I love this kit and its full of the beautiful Pinkfresh studio collection! Everything about it is pretty!

I knew what picture I was using and as you see my little miss is throwing up a peace sign, so I thought, hey why not use this cute cutfile? So I cut it out, I knew the background was going to be white and so was the cutfile so I figured why not add a little mixed media? I lightly traced the cutfile, pulled two of my distressed oxides out, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked raspberry, smooshed them down, added some water and started to play with the colors where my cutfile was going to go.

While that was drying, I decided to add a few little layers behind my photo and fussy cut a few flowers out of one of the papers. On top of that, I had realized how much white space was going to be left, so I cut down my paper and added the pretty teal border around it. Pulled out my sewing machine and stitched the two pieces together. Since everything was dry at this point, I decided to stick my cutfile down.

Once I had my cutfile down I added my photo and the layers , tucked a few of those fussy cut flowers in. I thought at this point I would add a little more yellow to the top and bottom of the layout. At the top I added a little pennant, probably could have gone without with but I liked the color so there it is lol. And at the bottom I added a strip of white paper with a pretty floral pattern on it in yellow. I felt like this made a perfect spot for my title. I had grabbed the amazing piece from the title ephemera pack and added it, then I tucked a few fussy cut flowers behind that and called my layout done.
