44 - Layout | Piroska Czako-Radvanyi

Hi there, it's Piroska here today with my latest layout using the So Romantic Base Kit. I rarely make a layout about myself, but this time I've chosen a selfie of me, taken after a visit to the hairdresser's. What a feeling it was, getting rid of my 3 months long grown out hair! :-P

In May I had my birthday, I became 44. At the beginning of this year I've been thinking about how interesting it is, I'm going to be 44 in 2020. I don't believe in nummerology, but the double 4 and double 20 could mean something? I thought: "This will be my year!" I am sure, many of us may have thought of similar positive messages when welcoming the new year... and then... we got something unexpected... Anyway, I still believe that I can make from this year anything I want, I can make it my year! So this is the message I'd like to send to myself, just like the quote on the tag says: "this is the start of anything you want". You can make it too! ;-)

And now about my layout:when I first saw this background paper, I knew it'll look good with my photo. I wanted to highlight the pattern, so I handstitched some of the zigzags.

From the journaling cards I cut out tags with my Lora Bailora dies. I fussy cut some flowers and leaves from the collection and layered them on the tags.
